couple days before the trip I contacted to the tour operator Oman Treasure tours asking how I can approach the guide upon arrival to Muscat. I got confirmation that someone will meet us with the sign with my name at the main gate of the sea port. We also got agreement about timing - ship arrival time is 8am + some time allowed to leave the ship and approach the main gate of the seaport. my husband and I were at the main gate at 8.20 - nobody was there with the greeting card. we had been there 15-20 mins checking all area around the main gate of the seaport. Since we did not have internet data in the roaming we had to return to the ship, connected to WiFi, approached the tour operator, who said that the guide is there since 8am. When we returned to the main gate the guide was very rude, literally his phrase was 'I'm here since 8am, it is your fault! You cannot read the sign!' it was my worst experience ever! it was my first time I have face such style of communication. Oman was my 25th country to travel. After that situation we decided not to go to the trip with the guide and requested to refund the payment. Hope my feedback will help to improve the service of the Operator.

The tour takes you to the major tourist attractions in Muscat - the Grand Mosque, old city - fort, museum, the Mutrah souk, fish & produce market , the Opera house plus giving you an idea of the layout of Muscat - Government buildings , places of significance.from the comfort of an air conditioned car - it was hot. Mohammed our guide was amazing- he spoke excellent English, was very informative and had a relaxed profession approach. I could not fault him.

Our guide, Mohammed, was not only proficient in English but was also extremely knowledgeable about his country's history and culture and very friendly. Moreover, he invited the two couples in his group to enjoy some tea and Oman-style bread sprinkled with cheese and honey with him, a lovely complement to the rest of the afternoon.
