There were 10 of us in the group. Our guide Jens really made it so fun and eventful from the minute we met him at the terminal in Melbourne to when we were dropped off at our destinations in Adelaide. He is very good at keeping everything safe and on time. Great communication with what/when we are going to do from one day to another. Showed/talked just about anything he wanted us to know about everything we either stopped at or just passing by. We all felt like he was one of us. We were very well fed for breakfasts and lunches at local restaurants and lodging was very comfortable. Highly recommend this tour. Enjoyed every minute of it

Brilliant way to travel from Melbourne to Adelaide

This trip is a brilliant way to see the area from Melbourne to Adelaide. The hotels we stayed in were great sometimes quirky but always had good hot showers and comfy beds. We visited sites early in the morning that would have been unbearably busy later in the day and were able to really enjoy them. Jens our guide made the trip truly memorable. He arranged a great itinerary with well informed knowledge delivered with great humour. The breakfast and lunches included were extremely good. You may not need dinner. All in all worth every penny

Why rent a car?

Meeting up with our guide Jens at the bus station couldn’t have been easier. He was very enthusiastic and entertaining. Great Ocean Road is the highlight but we also visited natural areas where we saw koalas emus and kangaroos. A suggestion for future trips: an earlier start on the last day with box lunch so we could go to Cleland wildlife instead of mt lofty overlook? Naracoorte fossil caves was also interesting. Would definitely do it again.

A Great Trip for a Great Road!

Every was excellent! Pacing and variety of sites was prefect. Jen's was friendly, helpful, well organized, flexible, informative and always went the extra mile. Accommodations were surprising very nice for simple models out in the country. The included breakfast and lunch restaurants were top notch. Dinner restaurants were all top notch. No problem with luggage storage or seating space. Stops were spaced out well. Only recommendation would be if possible for WiFi while on the road in the vehicle.

A magical and leisurely coastal journey in South Australia

Fantastic tour guide Jens who was a former chef, so he always made sure our dining experiences were top notch. Loved all the little towns and stops along the way. He made it so personal and really went all out to make sure everyone had what they needed at every point on the trip. The lodging was quite adequate - not fancy, but did the trick in each of the three locations. I especially appreciated the lodge manager in Port Fairy letting me change my room to a more quiet location. Great locations for all hotels that made it easy to get into the little towns. Twelve Apostles was memorable - and so kind that Jens took us there the first day late in the day and then back again early the next morning so we could see it without the crowds. The van was very comfortable - there were only six of us total - and we all got along famously. I highly recommend this trip as a much more enjoyable way to see the coast instead of going out and back in one day to the 12 Apostles from Melbourne. We got to really see small town South Australia. The wineries were also a wonderful part of the trip - and Jens made sure we were treated like VIPs.
