Do NOT take this tour. It's TERRIBLE. This was the worst city tour I've taken in any of the cities I've visited. The van smelled like mothballs and the driver was less interested in telling us about Melbourne and more interested in letting us know about his disdain for: road construction repair crews, traffic police, tour groups, lack of parking spots, other drivers and wealthy homeowners. There was nothing interesting to see on this tour. I feel like I wasted my last morning in Melbourne. The other couple on our tour agreed, as did my son. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

We are very sorry the tour wasn't as expected. The main issue was the St kilda festival which blocked the roads and disrupted traffic so badly. We did cover the other areas in the city though.

My wife and I had a wonderful tour yesterday with Fred, our driver and guide. He told us many interesting and hilarious stories. He went out of his way in showing off all of the beautiful locations in Melbourne, the parks, museums, churches, buildings, lakes and even the beach houses in Brighton. Outstanding tour. The BEST ever.

The driver who is also a guide was not polite to the customers in the bus. No one will use Viator if you have drivers like the one for this trip

Hi,
We have investigated and this may be when the guide reminded you the stop was 5 minutes for a photo at the MCG and you decided to take 20 minutes to go around the stadium and kept everyone else waiting for you. Guide wasn't rude in the way he communicated with you, in fact you were rude by not listening to instructions and not being back on time.

We found this to be a great way to see a lot of Melbourne in a very short amount of time. With the smaller group, you are able to navigate more of the city, and having a guide allows, you to get more information along the way. Our driver was Kevin, and he was very informative and did a nice job of driving us around to all of these sites. We certainly wouldn’t have been able to do all of that on our own.

The Melbourne Sightseeing Tour was both informative and enjoyable. As we were the only couple on the tour, Sam invited us to choose the venues that we wanted to see. His commentary throughout helped us to gain our bearings around Melbourne so that we could revisit venues later. At the last stop, Sam suggested that we could do a river cruise before visiting the Skydeck, both experiences giving us the opportunity of recognising areas that we had visited on the tour. We felt that we knew Melbourne so much better after the tour.

Fred, our tour driver, was informative and full of local facts and tales. Our small group was cordial and we enjoyed our tour, especially when we could get out and stretch our legs a bit. A half day was really too short to see much, but it was a good start. We would highly recommend Fred for any future tours!

Great tour of many different neighborhoods of Melbourne. It was a great way to get small, interesting bits of info quickly as we went through the neighborhoods and getting an overall sense of the city. My family and I took this tour at the start of our trip to Melbourne and it was great to see where we wanted to visit again on our own time. The bus was also comfortable and we had adequate time to stop and take pictures as much as we liked.

A wonderful and informative tour with our guide, Fred, who made the tour really ienjoyable for us. He not only pointed out places of interest but pulled up pictures of the interiors on his phone to give us an idea of what to expect. His narration was peppered with interesting anecdotes that kept us entertained.

Fred was magnificent enjoyed the tour and made the whole tour very interesting.. There is a spark that really stands out from him that makes this whole tour different. Today day was great and was spent well.. I'll certainly be considering other tours operating by Fred in Melbourne.. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend going in for it. A good jovial human being and passion to keep the journey joyful.. Also the American folks on this journey was super joyous and interactive made every part of this trip fun. This tour was exactly what we wanted... very few people, knowledgeable guide and driver and a good sampling of Melbourne. Our son lives here but in all the time we've come here, we've never "seen" Melbourne. So this tour was like a 'survey' class in college - it hit all the high points of which there are many and gave us an idea of what we would like to do "in depth" next time we are here.
