Overview
Take this private tour with a historian guide of the Getty and get all of your questions answered. This will take around one hour, and you’ll cover a lot of ground in the museum. This is for your private group of up to six guests. Don’t wander aimlessly, but have a purpose and get to the bottom of some of the pieces while your guide aims to demystify the collections.

Everyone enjoyed the tour very much. The tour guide was Sasha. She was very friendly and explained the stories behind the very well. She also also explained the museum history. Fun experience!

Shirls and I loved the private tour with Ellen Greenberg. She immediately clarified what our priorities were for the Getty so we took a wonderful trip through several centuries as she highlighted several paintings and sculptures, provided background stories and supplemented with pictures from her bag of resources. She is an excellent teacher and we were fully engaged for our entire time together. We would give her our highest recommendation.

The entire tour was amazing and my private guide was very good. The center is an example of beautiful architectural success with a stunning view on LA and the ocean. I strongly suggest a visit to the Getty center if you are in LA

Ellen was a phenomenal guide - her knowledge of the Getty, the art and the relevant history is extraordinary. She has a lively passion for the art and was engaging with my two teenagers. She wove in fascinating facts, asked engaging questions, and even came armed with drumsticks to 'play' the marble tiles that form the exterior of the building. We left wising we'd had more time. Fabulous experience!
