An excellent visit to one of the prettiest places on earth!
The Lofoten Islands are surely one of the most picturesque places on this planet. This tour took us around the islands to a sampling of the sights and villages. Had plenty of stops for pics and a nice stop in a couple small villages for snacks and wandering.
Lofoten is lovely from a cruise ship, but you really need to drive around a bit to get the best sites. This tour provided that and I would do it again!

Despite the drizzling rain our guide Laura made the tour around the island informative and enjoyable. We managed to capture some nice photos and learned some facts too.

Beautiful scenery and good narration. The weather was not good but it was still a good way to see some of the iconic sights of the area. I wish we could have stopped more often for some photo opportunities.

This tour company provides an excellent service for cruise passengers. Everything ran smoothly and the stops were timed just right. Although the weather was rainy, the time just glided along because of our tour guide. She was knowledgeable of both past and present traditions in Norway and remained engaged with the tour group for the entire time we were out. This tour was an excellent value and my husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly!

The weather conspired against us but our guide Simon was engaging and full of interesting information. The coach was comfortable and we stopped in enough places to get a good appreciation of this extraordinarily beautiful place. It rained and the clouds were often low but no matter, we thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Lofoten is such a beautiful area. We enjoyed stopping at several of the main scenic view points and appreciated the time we had to be on our own exploring a village.

Simon was a wonderful guide. Very informative. The scenery is breathtaking. The bus was very clean and comfortable. We were arriving by cruise ship and they waited until everyone made it ashore by tender.

This was a great way to see the Lofoten Islands. We were only one day in port so we were excited to make the most of our day. We didn't have the best weather, so it was nice to be on the bus to see the sights. We saw several cute fishing villages and beautiful scenic overlooks. Our lunch stop was in a cute village with several choices for lunch with beautiful views. There wasn't too much walking, but enough stops to keep it interesting. Our guide was very good and had many interesting things to tell us. I would definitely recommend. It would be a fun place to come back to and stay a few days.

Really great tour of the islands of Lofoten. Our guide was fantastic, she shared a lot of information on the area, what we would be doing and the amount of time we had at each stop. It was the first time our ship stopped at this port so we did have some delays getting tendered in, but they made sure we covered everything and got us back to make the last tender to the ship!
2 small recommendations to the tour company. We definitely had more than 45 people on our bus and it would have been great if the tour guide did a quick head count rather than relying on us to determine if everyone was on board, otherwise it really was a fantastic tour.

So thankful we did this tour everything was great from start to finish. Pick up was immediately out of the gate at the cruise terminal. The bus was brand new and there was plenty of room for us to spread out - I think there were about 40 of us. We were never on the bus for more than 25-30 minutes without getting out to explore a village or stop at a scenic spot. I believe we costed three or four of the villages along Lofoten and each one was breathtaking. We learned a lot from the narrator Cairns(?) and the driver Kenneth was great. A full day with many beautiful stops in the amazingly beautiful Lofoten islands. Our tour guide, Laudlna (sp?) was excellent. Informative and entertaining but not over the top.

Unfortunately we got off to a bad start as it is a tender port and had to wait for people to arrive from the ship. The most disappointing aspect was the guide. He didn't give us an overview of the day. Eventually he told us we would stop for coffee and food for 30 minutes. When we got back on the bus he told us we would stop again in 10 minutes for an hour!
Weather was bad by then so we all got very wet wandering around doing nothing.
Guide was hard to understand, was not informative. Very disappointing day.

thanks for your feedback. However:
1) Delay: you booked a bus tour, not a private arrangement. Being a bus tour, we always wait 10/15 minutes to give everybody the chance to tender and join the tour. Your bus left at 10.15am (instead of 10.00am) and it was back at 04.15 that means you had your 6 -hour tour.
2) Weather: the weather was bad but this is something we can't change it. We have a very flexible cancellation policy and everyone is allowed to cancel up to 24 hours prior departure and get 100% refund.in case of bad weather.
3) the guide: the guide assigned to your bus has been guiding for more than 10 years and we never received a complain. I am very sorry you were not happy with him.
We respect your opinion and I really hope you are enjoying the rest of your holiday.

Six hours was too long for this excursion. There’s not enough things to see that will hold your interest. It’s all about the same from one village to the next. The church was nice otherwise we were anxious to get back to the ship.

Unfortunately for you the Lofoten islands are mountains, wild nature and fishing villages and we can not (and do not want neither) change them!
Maybe the islands just simply do not fit your interest, but there is nothing we can do for this.
Both the duration and the itinerary are very well described on Viator. Maybe you should read more carefully what you are purchasing.

The most memorable part was the guide. We would choose to NOT go if he was our guide again.
We had a tight timeframe to be back on board the cruise ship. he did not manage things well and we became afraid we would miss the last tender. Instead of sharing with us the timing of everything, he said nothing even though a number of passengers were expressing their concerns out loud about time.
All he had to do was an nonce over PA system that the tour had built in some "slippage" and we would only arrive back at the port 15 minutes late.
We usually take cruise line tours because they guarantee the ship would be held if we were late, so this was an experiment. The tour was fine, but you need to provide more training for the guide

We are always on time and if the guide didn't tell anything, it's because he had the situation under control.

This excursion was an immersion in nature with absolutely beautiful scenery. Also, stopped at one very interesting village. I love nature—if you are a shopper/ culinary seeker, this is not the excursion for you.
A little confusion in starting versus matching the cruise ships tendering.
I would recommend this excursion.

We were told the number of participants would be 35. There were over 60 people on this bus. Not happy with the large number and having to wait at each stop for everyone.

Thanks for your feedback. We are sorry that you were disappointed with the number of participants. What happened is that a large group of passengers that belonged to bus n.3 went to your bus and we realized that too late when the bus was already gone.
In order to avoid delays we could not call the bus and ask it to drive back as it would have delayed the excursion and would have interfered with your tour.
Despite this misunderstanding we have made sure that the itinerary remained the same and you did not miss any stop.
We apologize once again for this and we really hope you had an amazing time in Lofoten.

Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. There were several stops to take photos and a stop to grab a bite or enjoy your packed lunch. We were lucky to have a sunny day. It was a great tour for people with mobility issues as there was minimal walking required. Highly recommend!

I exchanged messages about 1 month prior, advising I was a solo traveller. The day before the tour I went to confirm time and meeting point with tour operator to be told the tour was cruise customers only and I could have not joined. 1. Why would you advertise a cruise only customers on this app? 2. Why would you not read communication in time and properly? So, overall I found the tour operator very unprofessional and disorganised, resulting in me missing out on a tour and unable to book anything else due to short notice.

But let me explain you what happened and the reason why the problem was generated.
This was a human mistake. We apologized for it by e-mail and issued 100% refund immediately.
By the way our tours to Reine (and we have 3, one from Leknes and two from Svolvær) start daily and I wonder why you booked the one from Leknes which is mainly dedicated to our cruise ship passengers instead of booking the ones with meeting point, pick up and drop off in Svolvær which is the place you were staying.
Why we had to cancel it: because this tour is for cruise passengers, thought and dedicated to them focused on their particular needs with a different schedule.
Since you are an individual customer, you have to book the tours for individual guests (we have many from Svolvær) which, although slightly more expensive, ensure a high quality service (pick up at your accommodation, drop off on time, etc).
We really apologize for the inconvenience as, as you can understand by reading the many positive reviews we have been collecting, we take extra care to each one of you. Our company is always very well organized, very professional, problem solving as our customers' satisfaction is our priority, always, every single time we have a tour, regardless you are travelling in group or as a solo traveler.

We enjoyed the tour a lot!
Although tendering with Costa turned out to be bit of a chaos and we lost some time waiting for other participants of the tour, we've seen more places and had more time than the participants who booked one of the Costa tours.
The tour guide was very nice, giving interesting information during the tour. The contact prior to the tour was fast and friendly, too. We can recommend booking them :-)
