Nordland is the Sea Eagle’s kingdom, here is the largest concentration of Sea Eagles in the whole world. In the immediate area outside Henningsvær, we have several pairs, each with its own territory. We go out in large rib boats that provide close contact with nature and wildlife. If the weather permits, we’ll go out to an Orchard colony and try to find the Grey Seals. They can be 300 kg and about 3 meters long. If we’re lucky, we also come across Minke whales, Porpoises or Killer Whales. On the trip, we admire the wild landscape and Vågakallen, which is one of Lofoten’s highest and most fabled mountains.

Ryten is one of the top winter hiking and snowshoeing destinations in Lofoten. Located in Lofotodden National Park near Fredvang, it offers iconic views of Kvalvika Beach and the dramatic peaks of Moskenes and Flakstad. The route we follow has gentle terrain and no avalanche risk, making it a safe and accessible winter adventure with the right gear and an experienced guide. The hike climbs to 543 meters with over 500 meters of elevation gain. It’s a challenge, but the views from the summit are unforgettable and often the highlight of our guests’ trip to Lofoten. Between stops, we talk about what life in Lofoten is actually like — the good, the strange, the funny, the chaotic. Overtourism, winter storms, fishing season, why every house is red. This is the side of Lofoten you don't get from a big bus tour. Our guides live here. Lofoten isn't a destination to us, it's home — and that shapes how we run the tour: small groups, minivans instead of buses, and real respect for wildlife, private property, and the people in these villages. Your guide wears a microphone connected to a personal headset for each guest. No gathering around to hear over the wind, no straining at crowded viewpoints. Walk around, take photos, or just enjoy the scenery — and still hear the stories if you want to. Adjust the volume, or take the headset off completely and take in the landscape in silence.
