Great instruction on safety and best kayaking techniques. Route taken gives good views and chance to see birds and sea life. We actually caught sea urchin and ate it fresh during break on one of the islands with hot tea and cookies.

Went for the 3h kayak trip, and we absolutely loved it, even though we had our fair share of rain. Israel was a super nice guide, he took his time to explain. Our skill level was in the absolute beginner range, and that was totally fine, you do not need any prior experience or massive muscles.

Really great experience and really reasonable price. Kayaking around little rocky islands from the meeting site and getting to disembark on one of the them for a pause was really fun. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves feeling at one with nature.

I don’t think this trip is well suited for beginners. Myself and my friend had no kayaking experience which is why we booked this tour as it was described as ‘perfect for beginners’. We didn’t get much of a briefing on how to steer the kayak, how best to use the oars, techniques etc. The tour involved kayaking across a windy bay to get to the islands which is hard work and difficult if you’re not used to sea kayaking. The tour takes you round a few sheltered islands that weren’t very pretty or interesting to look at and we didn’t see any wildlife at all. Then on the way back we had to cross the bay again and unfortunately the wind had picked up and made it more difficult. It wasn’t a very fun experience in all honesty, very tiring and not a lot of breaks to rest. The guide was lovely and friendly and a very experienced guide. However he didn’t seem to understand how difficult it was for true beginners to make the bay crossing and I feel like he got a little frustrated with us at times as he had to keep waiting for us to catch up.
Lofoten is such a beautiful place, I’m sure there are visually better areas to kayak in that are more sheltered.
