Ryten is one of the top winter hiking and snowshoeing destinations in Lofoten. Located in Lofotodden National Park near Fredvang, it offers iconic views of Kvalvika Beach and the dramatic peaks of Moskenes and Flakstad. The route we follow has some steep sections, but mostly gentle terrain and no avalanche risk, making it a safe and accessible winter adventure with the right gear and an experienced guide. The hike climbs to 543 meters with over 500 meters of elevation gain. It’s a challenge, but the views from the summit are unforgettable and often the highlight of our guests’ trip to Lofoten. No previous hiking or snowshoeing experience is needed, but you should be comfortable with physical effort and deep snow in some sections along the way.

Experience fishing in the Arctic waters of Lofoten on a small-group boat trip with a maximum of 8 guests per boat. This trip takes you to carefully selected fishing grounds in some of the richest waters in Northern Norway. Explore the winter landscape of Lofoten on a gentle, guided snowshoe adventure designed for families and anyone looking for a relaxed outdoor experience. With no steep climbs, the pace is calm and accessible for all ages. The tour starts at Skårungen, followed by a 30–45 minute snowshoe walk through peaceful winter surroundings to a cozy cabin camp. Here, the fireplace is lit, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax, warm up, and enjoy hot drinks such as cocoa, tea, or coffee. For those who wish, there is also the opportunity to go sledding near the cabin, adding a playful element to the experience.
