It was a really amazing and adventurous experience. The staff and crew were really helpful and nice. And definitely had one of the best shows of northern lights.

amazing experience with family, very well taken care of, my son was taken in a heated snow mobile ahead of us

We had a great time on the Levi Northern Lights by Snowmobile excursion. Unfortunately, we couldn’t complete the full excursion as planned due to the extremely cold weather conditions. I really appreciated the honesty of the team in ensuring our safety—they offered us the option to reschedule or cancel for a full refund. We chose to go ahead with the excursion, and it was a wonderful experience.
Our tour guide was fantastic, and the first round of snowmobiling (about 1.5 hours) was exciting and well-organized. We returned for a hot drink, which was much needed after being out in the cold. Although we were offered the chance to go out again, we decided not to because we were too cold by that point.
Overall, it was a great experience, and the team handled the weather-related challenges professionally. It would have been perfect if the weather had allowed us to do the full excursion, but that’s out of their control. I’d definitely recommend this tour, especially for their focus on guest safety and comfort!

One of the worst organized tours I ever participated
The strange experience started a day before the tour, when I got a message in the afternoon stating that I didn't confirm my pickup location, I would have to come to their premises myself, it would be too late to change that now.
Ah, and they don't have parking.
But no worries, opposite of the road there's public parking for a fee.
I replied that my ticket confirmed the pickup location that I selected during booking.
No reaction, no apology, nothing.
At this point I should have cancelled.
Knowing that the chances of seeing the northern lights would be close to zero that night, I still decided to go, as it might be fun to go on a snowmobile tour anyway.
We arrived at the given location on time, to find the most pathetic logistics I ever witnessed.
Checked in, being directed to a queue with literally 50-60 other people for clothing, a guy started shouting and giving different instructions.
First we should sign this and that, and only then queue for clothing.
Okay.
After getting our clothes, we has to go outside, where the tour guides started an effort to divide the group of 50-60 people into three smaller groups.
We have been pushed around and given conflicting instructions for literally 45 minutes, before they seemed to have organised themselves. It was frustrating to witness and be part of this exercise.
Afterwards we got an instruction by the tour guide.
She seemed annoyed before anything even started and rather bossy than friendly.
After the instruction, she distributed us to our snowmobiles, to realise "oh, I forgot to tell you, don't stand up, this is where all the accidents happen". Okay.
5 minutes later: "I forgot to tell you about the hand signals".
So she explained something about handsignals, before we were finally ready to leave.
The tour as such consisted of 45' driving with 15- 20kmh on a snowmobile track, stopping every 5-10' to regather the group.
Also, stopping twice to "check for northern lights", and stopping once to be given a "third of a cup" of hot juice.
I wanted to say on the positive note, that safety was perfect. Until 2km before the end of the tour, an irresponsible tour guide of one of the other sub groups passed us with 40kmh, carrying kids-sledges, while we were standing, with literally 20cm distance. He almost ran over our tour guide.
They advertise it as "small group, maximum 20 people".
In our subgroup, there were 12 snowmobiles.
Pathetic. I would give zero stars if I could.

I will be as forgiving and constructive as I possibly can… This company needs a SERIOUS reset in terms of the tour schedule because that was a disaster. Husband and I booked a similar tour (snowmobile ride out to teepee for sausage roasting) with a different company the previous night and it went very smooth. This company overbooks giant groups that literally don’t fit in the teepee. First company had an attendent waiting in the teepee with the fire hot and ready for visitors– this company did not and we waited in the cold for 10 minutes as the guide tried to kindle a fire. Then they stuffed as many bodies into the teepee as humanly possible til no one could move while the rest froze in the dark outside. The guides were fine, the facilities were fine, and the cost was fine, but the organization is nonexistent and made the experience quite lame by the end. Sorry.

Most terribly organised activity I have ever been on.
-28 deg C and spent 90% of the time sat around waiting for the guides to get going or for others to catch up. Far too big groups with 25+ people in a group, so if one person is slow or has a problem then the whole group has to wait in the cold.
A company that prioritises profit over experience

I wish I had one good thing to say about this tour but I don’t. We didn’t see any remnants of the northern lights which was of course disappointing and not their fault but it was handled horribly. They have no plan if the lights aren’t out. They drove us around aimlessly at 7 km/hr in a single file line (I will get back to this later) and stopped every 10 min for the guide to kill time and walk back to ask us all how we were doing. She then said an hour in “well obviously there’s no point in hunting the lights so we’re just going to go make a fire”. We gathered at a random open field where they made a tiny fire for 40 people and gave us half a cup of hot juice each. For about 10 minutes we all sat there staring and then it was time to go back. Our tour had 10 small children on it being dragged by the guide at the front of line by a 5 row sled that couldn’t go over small bumps in the road because it was too heavy. We stopped a few times and they all got off the sled to make it over the bump wasting more time. One person asked if we could go faster and our guide told us “I can’t go any faster pulling all these kids”. What a waste of money. I went on a reindeer ride the day before that was more riveting. Boring. Slow. Waste of money. Very disappointed. Wish there was a way to get my money and those 3 hours back. When we got back to the office afterwards the whole group stood outside the locked building for 10 min freezing while the guides were no where to be found and everyone just wanted to get out of there. Don’t do this tour unless you’re 100% sure northern lights will be out. Not worth it.

Thank you girls for the wonderful evening. You were truly exceptional, very patient, very caring and really enjoyed the whole experience

We really enjoyed this trip. It was well organised and all staff were friendly, welcoming and informative throughout the trip. We went in the fast group of snowmobiles and it was so much fun! The road is very bumpy so at times I had to hold on tight. The suits kept us warm and dry as it was snowing slightly. When we got to the hut the fire got started very quickly to warm us up and the hot drinks were served and sausages cooked. We had a very small half cup of berry juice and thought it should’ve been at least a full cup to drink. We would definitely recommend this experience and it’s a great memory to have. Thank you

What a wonderful experience made even more exciting in the evening. Well organised and nice small groups. Loved sititng by the fire with the hot juice.

Amazing trip. We had the perfect night with the northern lights visible throughout. Our guide Marco was brilliant and so attentive, always checking we were safe and warm enough. He was also kind enough to take my mum back to the office when she was feeling motion sickness.
We’d highly recommend this trip.
munira_k, Dec 2023
Amazing experience from start to finish and could not fault this experience or the staff at all. Our location was outside of the free pick up area so we paid a little extra to be picked up. Upon arrival we were given our snow suit, balaclava and helmet and then shown how to use the Snowmobile. We stopped after some time to enjoy some saussages by a fire and see the northern lights.we were vegetarian and they accomodated to this. Shame we didn't get to see the northern lights due to how cloudy it was but nevertheless enjoyed ourselves. Some of the group were anxious drivers but the staff were amazing in easing the nerves. Would 10/10 recommend

A very well organised trip based on my experience. While your here get it done ! We didn’t get back until 12:30 and we got our visual . Perfect night

A very well organised event with the friendliest and most helpful people possible. With the night temperature at -25oC we were snuggly dressed up in appropriate clothing for the journey. After tuition on how to drive the snowmobiles we were off. Travelling through the icy moonlit fields and forest was quite magical. At the mid way point we stopped for a hot drink, snack and warm up. A gaze in to the heavens disappointingly showed no signs of the aurora which was to be the highlight of the trip. However, a short distance on the trip back the light show was switched on; streaks of green lights flashing and dancing across the sky was phenomonal and all that I had hoped for. A great night out and well worth the cost.

This was an excellent tour!! We had a nice ride out to a cute, cozy cabin. Then we got to go out on a frozen lake to watch the lights. They showed up right after we arrived. The hot berry juice and snacks were delicious. On our way back the lights came out again and really out on a show. They let us pull over and enjoy the show. Truly a memory for the books!!
Dominic_W, Jan 2023
We have had a great time, the guides are cool, and we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the lights activity were very low. But the trip was nice at all.

We had the most horrible experience that turned my honeymoon into a disaster.
The app clearly said pick up time at 8pm but the guide came at 725am and left. We reached early and waited blindly and realised they came and left. They only send a message through Viator but there was no notification of the update hence I did not replied to confirm the time. They just took for granted that we saw their message and said we are late. We even went to the snowmobile park directly and the guides ignored us and said they have no idea, leaving us to stand in -20 degrees darkness. This ruined my honeymoon because of the lack of proper customer service. Initially Viator dont want to refund us, and after i showed proof of the operator's neglect they then agree to refund.
Response from Host, Mar 2023
Thank you for your review and we’re sorry to hear about your honeymoon. We state on the product page that the pickups begin 30 minutes to 1-hour before the tour starts and that the exact pickup time will be informed a day in advance. As this information is included on the product page we can only expect that it has been understood. We are also unable to extend the pickup window more than necessary, as to not delay the other pickups.
We are perplexed by the events you have described, so we launched an investigation regarding the events, but failed to find any traces regarding you booking or the refund. Given the peculiar circumstances we would like to confirm if your activity was booked with us and not with another company. We would appreciate if you could provide us with your booking information to info@snowmobilepark.com.
Again, we are sorry to hear about your honeymoon, we hope the rest of your trip went lovely and you got to experience the best of Lapland.
Kindly, The SMP team

The most amazing trip we have ever taken! Absolutely beautiful scenery and attentive staff. The journey was 2 hours long followed by a snack and juice in a wooden cabin.

Friendly guide , exciting ride on snowmobile and the Northern Lights. Our guide was very keen to watch out for and point out the Lights when they appeared. He provided drinks, BBQ and Finnish desert in a great location. Friendly conversation in English.

Absolutely fabulous trip would highly recommend this company. The young lad who took us out was friendly chatty and very informative. We felt like he cared and wasnt just doing a job.He even spent an extra hour with us .We didnt see the lights but hey ho that's just the luck .Thankyou so so much memories were certainly made

We were lucky to see the aurora. Weather forecast was dim when we booked the tour but we were fortunate with a short window when we could see this magic. It is truly magnificent.
Our guide was really nice, with sense of humour, gave clear instructions on how to deal with snowmobile, told about aurora. The place where we had a BBQ was lovely, cozy hut in the nowhere, felt like a winter magic.
Drive seemed long enough, very enjoyable. Overall great experience.
I guess if you do not make too high expactations on seeing aurora then you can enjoy all the other part of this activity and do not feel frustration of not seeing it.

Loads of time on the snow mobiles, a great setting for the BBQ and finished off with a Northern lights sighting. I would highly recommend.

A wonderful evening with great company. I was a bit nervous of driving a snowmobile for the first time but got the hang of it quickly. Whilst we didn’t see the Northern Lights, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.
Nick_B, Dec 2021
This was such an amazing experience! We had so much fun - after an exciting drive into the forest, we stopped to look for the Northern lights, followed by food over an open fire, before another exhilarating ride back to base. So much fun, amazing value, and awesome staff! We loved it!
George_G, Dec 2021
We went on a trip yesterday with this company and what a experience. Firstly we was booked for another day and due to the weather they gave us an opportunity to change the day for a better chance to see the lights. They really go above and beyond for you. We felt really comfortable with the staff and they are really friendly. Would definitely book!!
