This is a truly historical tour with an expert historian schooled in the antiquities, traditions and culture of Lecce. The important facts to us are key as we follow the tour as well as history of 100 years back through the centuries. We thank Giuseppe for his professionalism and knowledge, we did learn a great deal today

We had a wonderful time with Guiseppe touring Lecce and highly recommend this experience. We had been there for a few days already, but with him guiding us we really got to see and understand the city, and some of its hidden places and obscure treasures. In addition, Guiseppe went out of his way to tailor the trip to our family which included a 1-year-old in a stroller. My guide was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the cooler temps in the morning. I recommend an early morning start. The city is so lovely and clean! The history is fascinating and the route is walkable.

Giuseppe was AMAZING. One of the best tours we have ever had. His understanding of architecture, culture, art, food and social history was next to none. Taking us inside the main Cathedral in Lecce and to major tourist spots including the fortress, ampitheatre and jewish quarter were brilliant. We enjoyed olive oil, wine and chocolate tasting, saw how local artists created intricate models of Tarantela dancers as well as a few hidden gems. Giuseppe suggested a few cafes and gelatarias which were appreciated. We throughly reccommend a private tour with Guiseppe when in Lecce.

Giuseppe is an amazing tour guide. He shared the history and culture of Lecce with us and was able to relate to all four of us on an individual basis. We had an olive oil tasting at the end which was fun and informative as well.

Considering the weather during our 3 hour tour was the absolute worst (rained hard & nearly the entire time), our private guide Guiseppe C. made our experience absolutely wonderful. He is very articulate and clearly knowledgeable about the history of the culture and region. He is also very personable & made our time with him relaxing, taking us to the different stops @ a more than reasonable pace. We would recommend Guiseppe to everyone and anyone who wants to truly learn about Lecce, not just “see” it. He was worth every minute, & Euro, spent on our tour

I booked about 24 hours in advance of the activity. Received confirmation emails by both Viator and the Operator. Payment was taken from my card. A few hours later and less than 18 hours before the activity the Operator called my phone to cancell because of no tour guide availabilty at the time I had booked. I explained to the "gentleman" on the phone that we had a window of only four hours to view Lecce before driving to our next destination. He said there was nothing he could do and promised to request Viator to refund us. I suggest next time he ensures tour guides are available before advertising free activity slots on Viator, collecting the money of unsuspecting travellers and inconvincing them with his inexcusable cancelations. Hpefully the money he took from my card will be returned. Irrespective be aware UNRELIABLE Operator DO NOT USE.
