Viator sent a map of where we needed to pick up the transportation along with the ticket. The map showed the pickup at the port entrance, not at the ship. The driver was at the ship but did not display the sign with our name early enough.

However, our records, including the voucher and the confirmation message sent you the day before the service via Viator to which you responded “Confirmed,” clearly indicated that the pickup would take place inside the port, at the ship's dock. We also tried to contact you via message and phone to facilitate meeting you at the correct location within the port. We regret that these attempts were unsuccessfulin due time. While we are disappointed with the two-star rating, we believe that we provided all the necessary information correctly and that our driver displayed the sign with your name appropriately and that the transfer service was successfully completed as planned. We hope that you will, in light of the above, revise your review and avail yourself of our services again in the near future.

If this is your first time doing a cruise to Rome, note that the port is in Civitavecchia which is over an hour from the ships. This was a little detail that we didn't know but were glad that we were able to use this private service to get to our other Viator booked tour. Driver was on time, transportation was clean, and ride was pleasant. Do yourself a favor and eliminate the stress by doing private transport.

It was a great transfer from port to the train station in Rome The driver arrived 20 minutes earlier and communicated with us that he is ready. It took us a while to get off the ship but he waited for us. The driver was professional and got us to the train station safely and gave us some advice on how to get to our platform.

Showed up on time. Very professional and very roomy vehicle like riding in a limo. Also, would of been cheaper for our ride from Rome to the airport.

We got off the ship early and the driver was there. They communicated with me the night before letting me know the driver would be there and where to meet exactly. He was there at least 30 minutes early and was fantastic. I highly reccommed.

Our driver was excellent as he was one hour early and so we had little wait time at the port. He was both courteous and friendly.
Most important was that we inadvertently dropped one of our passports in the SUV. Once we realized at the hotel, both the company and driver were so gracious to help find and expedite the return of the passport to us.
I would highly recommend them!

Waited 1 1/2 hour for the driver to show up at the airport because it was raining very heavy. Called his phone number and no one answered. Left 2 messages to the driver indicating were we where standing and how we were dressed. Walked back and forth checking the boards with the name of various passengers at the exit door. Had to get a taxi and paid $180. Placed with Viator a claim for refund.
Did not have any complaint whatsoever with the other 3 transportations I had booked. Opposite, the drivers arrived 15 minutes ahead of time, very cordial and excellent service.
Therefore my bad experience was due to the driver not Viator.

We booked through Viator and were assigned to Rome Taxi Sammarco to travel from the ship to the Rome train station. Our driver, Roberto, was early and helped us with the luggage. He was informative and gave us a short tour of Rome. I plan to use the company when we get back to Rome.

We couldn't find the driver, as we walk to the wrong locations as instructed by cruise directors. But the driver was very patient in finding us.
