This was by far the most comfortable and cost-effective way to get from port to Rome at 15 euro. We only used it one way. The pickup insructions were easy to follow. The drop off point near the terminal was great for us. Would definitely use this again.

It was a free for all once you leave the ship. There was zero instructions passed on to us other than a meeting location. You need to board a free shuttle bus to take you off site and then dropped off to fend for yourself.
We were early and could not get on the 0900 shuttle, understanding this issue.
We waited at the ticket window while I walked up again to ask a question and ONLY then did the lady give me a ticket to ride.
We were directed across a large parking lot to streetside to wait for a bus( no numbers)
They apparently over sold the seats so many people were left stranded as they only have two times per day for Vatican and City Centre.
We were not informed about these stops either.
Altogether we wasted 3.5 -4 hours trying to get to our hotel.
I would use any other means to leave the port!

Take the free shuttle (bus) to the bus station...Once there look for a SIT booth to check into. The bus will be located outside the bus station. BEWARE, just because you have a reservation doesn't mean they will have room for you. They over booked our bus and left about 15 of us without a bus. They did find a bus to take us but it would only take us to a train station and not the original arrival spots. It was very frustrating. Our bus was supposed to leave at 0930 and we got in line for the bus at 0905 and were cut off as they were all full.

Like others have said, finding the location/stand of the company is a bit complex. However the bus was clean and it had a/c. My only issue was that we did not leave on time. We left over 20 min late.

Very helpful if you showed the name of the bus company and booth at the bus company that is associated with this ride. We had zero issues, but many did! This bus goes to the. Ativan and Rome train station in the heart of town. It was a 16 minute walk to our hotel

The bus drop off at the Vatican (Via Crescenzio) and Termini Station at Piazza Indipendenza (middle of the square)

Easy and cheap from the port. Others were paying $200 we paid $30 and the bus was waiting for us. Easy to follow directions

Don't book this! Took us 2 1/2 hours to exit the ship. We tried to contact the bus people but no answer & they left us. No refund. Only run a bus at 9 and 9:30. Impossible to get there on time. Wasted our money.

At a fantastic price point, this transfer is a great value, though navigating the arrival logistics was a bit tough. It was initially unclear if we would be picked up directly at the port, but when I called for clarification, the staff was incredibly helpful and explained how to use the free port shuttle to reach the station.
Once at the station, the environment was quite chaotic with numerous operators selling services, making it difficult for me and several other confused travelers to find the right desk. After checking in, we also had to walk all the way around the outside of the building to reach our platform.
Fortunately, the on-site staff was just as wonderful as the team on the phone; they were super nice and accommodated us on an earlier bus since we arrived ahead of schedule. The actual ride was smooth and pleasant. My only minor tip is that the Wi-Fi password stickers are too small to read unless you are sitting right next to them—I couldn't even capture the text with a zoomed-in photo and had to ask a fellow passenger. Overall, excellent customer service and value, but better upfront digital directions would make it perfect.

The bus was overcrowded. What should have been a 55 minute ride. Turned into a 2 hour ride. We almost missed our planned excursion.

Please note that the bus has a capacity of 50 seats, so it is quite normal for the service to be shared with other passengers.
Regarding the duration of the journey, unfortunately the travel time was affected by a serious accident on the motorway to Civitavecchia, which caused heavy traffic congestion. Regrettably, this was beyond our control.

Great way to transfer from the port to Vatican City drop off. I didn't realize we had to check in at a kiosk after getting off the shuttle from the ship. So we had a little difficulty finding the bus initially. But it all worked out well.

Pretty good option if you don’t want to wrestle with your luggage on the train from Civitavecchia to Termini. A little bit confusing once you take the free shuttle from the port after disembarkation as there are several tours and bus shuttles leaving Civitavecchia with their own appropriate stands and offices. This one is with SIT, and I was told to check in at the GreenLine Tours desk for assistance. Then I was guided to the bus a few mins walk away from Largo del Pace. Pretty smooth ride and well organized.

I didn't realize it wasn't taking us all the way to the train station and we had to ask directions to get there once we were dropped off.

Dear customer, where you have been dropped is in Termini and you had only to cross the square and Via Marsala to join the Station. Termini area is quite big though but our staff at the boarding place in Civitavecchia is always available and pleased to suggest directions if needed.

The bus journey was good but the drop place was 7minutes away from the requested drop place -roma termini and we had to walk till there with two big suitcases which was a little tiring for us

Shuttle bus to end of port to catch ride on another bus to Rome. Long walk from shuttle to bus pick up. Quite a wait till the bus is full before leaving. Driver professional and ride uneventful. Would not use this transport method again.

When you disembark your ship go all the way to the end of the cruise terminal (left hand side) and take the transfer bus to Largo. When you arrive in largo there will be a lot of transportation companies there. Look for the booth for SIT (Societa Italiana Transporti), it was on the right near the end and yellow in color. Our bus was parked outside the transportation center so we had to walk about a 1/4 mile.

Missed the tour. Customer service was never accessible. They claim 24/7 accessibility and it's not true. I addition the website is the worst. Will think twice before using them again.

How do I get my money back? I sought clarification on the stops we would make numerous times. No one responded until after the bus had left for Rome. Wasted money on both the bus ticket and the ticket to the Vatican. Immensely dissappointing!!!

If you arrive too late for the scheduled departure, I’m sure you can understand that we can't keep the other passengers waiting for an extended period, especially as they are eager to reach the centre of Rome as soon as possible.
Please note that the ticket is still valid for one year and can be used again for a new date, as well as converted with one of our other services like Fiumicino to Rome or Fiumicino to Civitavecchia

We did not receive specific instructions as to where to meet, other than a general address. Once we were ushered through the port gate, and asked everyone there, we were assured that was the proper location for Viator drivers. It was within our time spot. However, the driver did not wait for us and marked us as no show. We called the company asking where the driver was, it was now three minutes past pick up… this is when we were informed we were marked no show and he left. Upon further discussion with other drivers, we discovered this is not an uncommon occurrence with Viator. Now a battle to get my money back. I have to submit “proof” that we were there such as photos. Who takes photos when they are looking for their driver?! Really ruins my previous good experiences with the company. Especially when we gave grace to one of their drivers for being late!

we would like to clarify that we always leave Civitavecchia a few minutes after the latest scheduled departure time at 09:30 a.m. We have a box office at the port arrivals and additional staff at the bus stop to ensure that all passengers are gathered before departure.
We understand that some customers on board may complain if we wait too long, just as others may feel we should wait longer. We do our best to find the right balance and provide a reliable service for everyone.
If you were running late, you could have contacted us to let us know in advance. While we cannot guarantee that the bus would have been able to wait, we could at least have tried to manage the situation as best as possible.
Thank you for your understanding. By the way your ticket is not lost but still valid one hear and valid also on one of our other shuttle services like Fiumicino airport.

Transportion left 30 minutes in advance of scheduled time and no one to greet us at the pier. Only noticed by chance a booth with a three leter acronym in small print I thought might he connected to the tour company so I enquired if they were affiliated. We would have missed the bus had we not shown early. We also we not escorted to the bus and the schedule was reduced with only one return time.

The shuttle didn't even show up! I had reserved 2 people from cit port to Rome for 30 Euro. They didn't show and I had to pay another company 130 US cash!! Very disappointing! We waited 2 hours!!

Comfortable bus ride to two stops. The Vatican and the Coliseum. Then we took a taxi to our hotel. Cheeper than a taxi from the port to the center of Rome.
