Itinerary

Meet a driver at your hotel for 7am departure, then board a climate-controlled vehicle for the 3-hour hour trip to Taman Negara, passing through a hilly landscape dotted with traditional villages.

Upon arrival at the park, get a bird’s-eye view of the forest from the world’s longest canopy walk, which stretches 1,739 feet (530 meters) through the treetops. Watch for wildlife along the way, and take in the sounds of the birds, monkeys, and insects that make their home in the forest.

After the canopy walk, head to the village of Kampung Kuala Tahan for an included lunch at the edge of the river, then keep exploring the park’s fascinating wildlife—you can hunt for insects, birds, monkeys, boar, or scorpions, with the chance to tailor the day to the things that interest you most.

You’ll have the option to meet members of the aboriginal Orang Asli tribe, learning about their daily lives and culture, or learn some blowpipe and hunting skills. The tribe members speak their own languages, but the guide can help translate your conversation (visitors are asked to respect the tribe members by asking permission before taking photographs).

In the afternoon, board a long, wooden boat to shoot a series of seven rapids on the Sungai Tembeling river, then pause for tea at a floating restaurant before the return trip to Kuala Lumpur. This 10-hour trip concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

the tour wa supposed to start at 6:00 from the hotel, the driver then asked to meet at 5:00 and we had to wait an hour once arrived at he place as too early. The local guide did not bring us to the top but waited down, the experience was fine without plus.

I enjoyed seeing the rainforest and the canopy walkways. The boat trip we did get wet but it was cool and refreshing. We saw a native tribe and used a blow dart. It was a very fun experience.

Die Entfernung zum Reiseziel ist auf dieser Tour einigermaßen lang. Daher hat es mich besonders gefreut, dass mich Dhashrath zügig aber sicher hin- und zurück gefahren hat. Wir haben uns sehr nett unterhalten, wodurch mir die Fahrt kurzweilig vorkam. Vor Ort in Taman Negara übernahm mich ein sehr erfahrener lokaler Reiseführer. Er hat uns insbesondere die Lebensweise der einheimischen Nomadenstämme sehr bildhaft und lehrreich vermittelt. Der Besuch in deren Lager war beeindruckend. Ich fand die Fahrt durch die Wasserschnellen mit dem kleinen Holzboot sehr spannend. Der Regenwald ist für mich immer ein Erlebnis.

Notre chauffeur est venu à l heure avec sa belle voiture très climatisée. Il a voulu nous faire plaisir en nous mettant notre musique favorite Sur le site, Ismael, notre guide nous attendait et il « a fait de son mieux » (ce sont ses mots) pour nous parler des plantes que la jungle offre à la tribu que nous sommes allés voir. Un guide bien passionné et agréable Et sur le bateau, il a vraiment fait de son mieux pour pas trop nous mouiller même si c était pas facile; il a même mis nos sacs dans des sachets plastiques La tribu que l on a rencontrée nous a montré comment ils utilisent les plantes vues dans la jungle; il n y a eu aucun spectacle folklorique : tout était authentique Et enfin, nous sommes allés au resto (depuis 7h du matin, ca faisait long) au bord de la rivière et c était bon Puis le retour tout aussi long que l allée (si vous avez l occasion de dormir sur place, ça vaut le coup; il y a même un ecolodge)
