- Please be aware that the temperature in the cave is around 10 degrees Celsious or 50 degrees Fahrenheit ALL YEAR ROUND SO WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHES. (SPORT SHOES AND A JACKET)
- This tour operates in all weather conditions so please wear appropriate clothes in case of wind or rain.

Yuri was a terr1fic guide. He was a wealth of information regarding the areas we drove through getting to he caves and was extremely entertaining. I will say the actual tour through the caves and the associated walking, traversing inclines and declines, was somewhat strenuous. For some reason, I thought the train ride was the bulk of the activity, but, I was so wrong. That being said, I am very glad we went as it was beautiful, and very interesting.

Our guide Marina was very friendly and knowledgeable giving lots of information about the places we visited and the Country! The caves were amazingly unique and quick photo stop at castle was a great extra. Would highly recommend the tour to cruise ship passengers as they ensure the times work around the ship schedule.

Fantastic small group tour lead by Mea. We had a great day! The caves are stunning, and the castle very picturesque. The caves are cool (10 Celcius) so bring an extra layer. Mea's impromptu polka demonstration and recommendation of a traditional Slovenian cake were the icing on the...well...cake.

The cave is something impressive, visiting it is an unforgettable experience and the castle and its history are also wonderful. We visited both places with family and friends and it is something that will remain in our memory forever. The best part came later when our tour guide took us to a small village for lunch, it was a small restaurant run by a single family with excellent food.

Our tour guide Neva was incredible. She was so nice and caring. Made sure we left and arrived on time. She made the trip very interesting and shared her knowledge on the history of Koper and Postojna. She made sure we had our jackets for the cave to keep us warm. She even took a picture of us at the castle. Definitely a great experience and would definitely recommend.

This was an amazing activity! We booked this excursion independently from our Ship. All communication with Istranka Tours before our cruise on the Norwegian Gem, as to where to meet and when, was exceptional. We were picked up at the port by bus and taken to the Cave. I cannot say enough about this cave, it even has a post office in it! It was fun to send a postcard. We have been too many caves, but this tops them all. Our tour guide on the bus was very informative and we now look forward to visiting Slovenia when we can spend more time. We visited Predjama Castle, which was beautiful! We didn't go in, but had time for a delicious Union beer at the restaurant.

Both the cave and castle were wonderous experiences. Must sees. Chose my cruise because it would stop in Koper, Slovenia so that I could take this tour. The van was comfortable and the tour guides friendly. Both the cave and castle had self-guided options.

The excursion was rushed. The tour operator changed our time the day before. We were originally scheduled to leave at 9, and it was changed to 10:45. The cave was beautiful, but very crowded.

Sad to hear that we didn't fulfill your expectations and we always take responsibility if there was anything on our side that resulted in having a bad experience..
But in your case the truth is that your cruise ship arrived to port way later than scheduled and with the same departure time so we had only 2 options.
To cancel the tour or to still deliver but at a little bit faster pace..
We had 2 bad options to choose from and we decided for the least bad one.
So we accept the 2 star review even if we tend to deliver the best 5 star service in this area..
For the crowd at he caves we will not comment as this is the same as any other popular tourist destination..
But once inside the caves we know that the experience overweighted all the stress you had to go trough because of the ship delays..

So glad we took the trip to the cave! One day is simply not enough to see all the amazing things in Slovenia and we wish we had more time! Tour guide Yonas was friendly, entertaining and kept us all on schedule. I learned a lot and the kids had a great time too. Easy to find meet up spot (visible while still on the ship) and good value for the price. Would book again.

There were problems with the ships late arrivals but Peter was great at communicating and rearranged plans and made everything work. There caves were incredible and far more extensive than imagined. The castle visit included an audio tour. Most other tours only drive by the castle for a photo stop. The van, driver and service were excellent. This is the best company to book with.

caves are not to be missed. castle has allot of stairs and uneven walking. our guide was informative. the van was immaculate and comfortable for all 4 of us.

Our driver was waiting for us at the port and we were joined by 4 other people. We had a wonderful time at the caves. These are the most amazing caves I have ever experienced. It it really worth the trip. Great experience.

Fantastic tour of these amazing caves. It’s a long walk but awesome sights along the way. We walked for over an hour inside the caves with information being given at ports along the way. The castle was not as impressive but still interesting.
