Amazing day out

We were picked up at dock on time in a very nice bus , very comfy seats. our amazing guide Mateja was just fantastic. She was very informative and was great to get such detailed information, then we had stops at some really great places , beautiful views , beautiful food , was not expecting all we got. Highly recommended this tour. You will have a great day sampling foods , enjoying amazing views and learn alot about Slovenia.

The sights we visited were beautiful and the guide , Natasha, kept us informed with fun facts and history. The walking part of the tour was also full of history and interesting facts. It would have been helpful if the guide has a microphone during the walking part since there were so many people but she did her best.

Very disappointing

We turned up for the tour along with another couple. The local tour operator Kopertours kiosk was closed and the phone number given was either using Slovenian or when it used English it just said it was the wrong number. Waited until 60 minutes after due time but no-one showed up. Contacted Viator support and they finally made contact with the operator who then called me, apologised and made a full refund that day. Very disappointing and wouldn’t use them again.

We were supposed to visit 4 towns on this trip but due to the bus driver being late picking us up on the first 2 stops we were unable to make the last 2. We were from a cruise ship so timing was of great importance. Our guide was very good but we were in the hands of the bus driver unfortunately.

Good cake and ice cream on the tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Disappointed that we weren’t able to see more of Piran. By the time we were taken to the church on the hill it was time to head to the bus, would have liked the option of walking up the hill to the church or staying in the village and shop

This was an absolutely horrible experience. There was almost no instruction given by the tour managers. There weren’t enough busses to serve the extremely large group. We were only able to visit one of the 4 stops and folks were waiting for as much as 1 hour and 45 minutes for transports. I expect the money I paid for this excursion to be completely refunded. If it is not I will place a dispute on my credit card. You have my mobile number and I expect a call or email to tell me what you are going to do to make up for this debacle. You should be ashamed!

Lack of Taste Site Identification

When our group got off at the 3rd Taste Site, we had great difficulty finding it. The tour person only gave a flip of the hand as to where it was located. There was NO exterior identification of the site and we trudged around in the cold rain for several minutes before a shop keeper said they were the one being sought.

Poorly run tour

The buses did not run on time and people were waiting anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes for pickups. We only got 1 stop as the guide could not guarantee timely service to get us back to or ship terminal. So we only had a drive through of 2 of the 3 towns. As a result we were only able to use 1 of the tour coupons provided.

Booked this off Norwegian Gem boat cruise. Got on bus, but not enough seats. My wife in the back and me in the tour guide chair with everybody squeezed in. Stop one. We are warned to maybe spend two hours as the next bus may be full. We chose one hour and were back early so as to get a seat on the bus. Just. Several others told sorry, wait another hour. This tour guide told us the system had overbooked in error. Suggested we skipped one or two ( their are only 4j) stops. So we skipped one and did the next. Waited for bus at allotted time, in the rain. Came an hour late due to traffic. Once again we got on, but many others told to wait. Entering the last stop at Koper it did not stop and went straight to boat. When queried the guide said it was only a 10 or 15 minute walk back to stop !!! What an absolute shambles and if I knew how I would demand my money back. We got two stops out of four in an overcrowded bus, and had to fight the queues to get back on. Awful.

Needs Some Improvement

Very confusing operation and communication was poor. Not typical hop on hop off. Tour guides were nice and helpful but lack of good communication led to much confusion and stress to ourself and others.

The bus was on time and the crew was very knowledgeable and polite. The reason for the three stars was two of the stops, salt and chocolate shop were closed and the shell museum did not accept the voucher we were given and had not accepted it for 2 years. Did not get the full experience. Don’t book on a Sunday.

A very good way to see Slovenia

This was a very good way to see Slovenia. We really liked this country. We caught the bus at the Cruise terminal and it took us around to three different cities. As to the taste portion of the trip, it was over rated. They give you some coupons that you can redeem at select places in each of the towns that you visit. It was OK. We visited two of the places and had their little selection of snack. But, I always felt a little dorky going in to a shop with my coupon and trying to redeem it for a small little piece of food. But, the rest of the trip was a blast. We would never have seen so much of the country without it. It was nice having dedicated buses to take us out and return us to the cruise port. I would do it again. However, I would probably only redeem the coupon for the gelato next time around. The rest of the places were disappointing.

we booked a hop on hop off tour because we like to explore independently. We ended up having a fully guided tour as only one bus was going out. this was both good and bad, it meant that we didn't get a chance to wander around by ourselves, on the plus side we probably saw a few things we wouldn't have seen. The guide was very good.

I think this was a good way to see several areas of Kotor in a convenient and timely manner. We only tried a couple of the tastings as we just were not hungry but what we did try was great and gave us an unique view of the area.
