We spent two weeks in Ireland with many amazing experiences but touring the Ring of Kerry was definitely one of the highlights! Michael’s company made the day even more enjoyable as he made sure that we didn’t miss out on anything! Even in the chilly rain the Cliffs of Kerry and Torc waterfall were both breathtaking. The Daniel O’Connor cathedral was even more enjoyable than St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin because we weren’t sharing it with 1000 of our new best friends! We also enjoyed the sheep dog demo and Bog Village. It was wonderful for my husband to sit back and enjoy the scenery rather than navigating the narrow rural roads and of course Michael knew the best places to indulge in a yummy lunch, delectable chocolate and a single half pint of Guinness!

wonderful day out with Paddy Keane who took over for Joe who was under the weather . He switched a couple stops to fit our needs which was much appreciated . We were traveling with 3 generations aged 5 to 70 . We all had the best time! We got to see a ring fort up close and drove the Skellig Ring saw The Kerry Cliffs which were amazing the dark cliffs and turquoise water so beautiful and so many other amazing stops. It was a day we will always remember. Worth every penny for our group !

Our driver, Joe, was excellent! He was extremely flexible and was very patient with my wife who has bad knees and must take it slowly. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the heart of Ireland.

Joe is a great tour guide. Our family had a wonderful time viewing the Ring of Kerry and the multiple stops along the way. The sheep herder is a special treat to see the sheep and dog in action.

The day was wild, wet and windy! Joe was very communicative and we enjoyed the sheep herding demonstration so much. Although we couldn’t see much of the Ring of Kerry due to the fog, Joe made it up to us the following day with an extra jaunt to the Muckross house. My one suggestion would to make your vehicle expectations clear prior to the tour as we were traveling with my elderly parents and needed a spacious vehicle.

Thank you for your feedback, the Irish October weather does make the tour a little less enjoyable. I take your point about space. It is Mercedes S Class long wheel base sedan which is quite roomy, however not for all.
Good news is I have a 7 seater SUV due for delivery in early 2025 so lots of room for everyone.

My husband and I had rented a car but wanted to both enjoy the Ring of Kerry - so glad we went with Joe!
Joe picked us up at our hotel, was very accommodating, and took us to some awesome places. We had the best lunch and ice cream stop thanks to Joe knowing where to go.
Joe was very nice and we learned so much more having him as a guide and telling us about the towns we went through.

Joe was amazing from the first meeting. We explained we were from New Orleans and our interest. He took us all over the Ring of Kerry to see beautiful things. He was informative and very talkative. Made us all feel at ease. It was great day spent with Joe.

We had The best driver in Ireland!
He picked us up on time and we settled in the car. Joe took us to the best places and showed us great sights. Joe is a wonderful guide and knew all the shop workers. He kindly told us which places were more of a tourist trap and which places were a better deal, family owned type places.
We’re not the chattiest group but Joe talked the perfect amount and let some of our group nod off for a quick nap at other times.
We felt so comfortable with Joe.
I would definitely book with Joe again and would definitely recommend him to other travelers.

Joe was great, super knowledgeable and professional. He had a really nice car and was an excellent driver. Fun day touring the ring of Kerry and it's awesome even in the rain... We had an awesome time!
Hints if you book this: I might suggest skipping the Kerry Bog Village and instead spending more time at the gorgeous Kerry cliffs and beaches as we personally are more interested in seeing the views and scenic spots (or you might want to walk around one of the super cute villages we passed through). There's a lot to try to fit into the day, so choose wisely as Joe is quite flexible in the time allotted.
The sheepdog demo was awesome! I would also suggest perhaps looking ahead to find other restaurants in portmagee if u have special dietary needs, as the chosen restaurant is great and has very tasty food, but not much for non traditional diets (which is not at all a criticism).

Wasn’t the best experience as it rained so we couldn’t see any of the cliffs or shoreline. Our driver tried to the best but we felt he took to stops where he knew the person and was receiving credit for brining us there and most stops wanted fees which didn’t help with the experience, I’m not sure how I would rate this or how to recommend as we paid a good price for not seeing the Ring of Kerry

Sorry to hear you were not happy with the day. We did do the whole of the Ring of Kerry. It is a more enjoyable experience on a fine weather day, the weather was bad that day with poor visibility, of course there is nothing I can do about that. I have no financial arrangements with any of the places I stop. I think a entry charge of 5 to 7 euro is very reasonable. Of course you are not obliged to visit any of these places, however travellers enjoy these stops and in fact many people request them like the sheepdog trials in Kells and The Skellig Museum about the Islands and StarWars film location.
Overall I think the bad weather was the main issue with the day and of course that's out of my control..

Joe was just wonderful and would highly recommend his casual, professional tour. Having Joe do all the driving in a place unfamiliar to us was paramount so we could sit back, relax and truly enjoy all the sites around Ring of Kerry. Added benefit....off the beaten track places Joe knows about! Next time, we’ll join Joe for fly fishing!
