We loved this activity! Damien was an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable driver, and was lovely to our two small kids. We felt very safe, stopped to take pictures at the best spots, and saw many animals and historical landmarks along the way. In addition, this is a small family owned business that clearly takes great pride in what they do. Our horse, Duke, was healthy and well cared for, and our carriage was clean and well kept - and had nice warm blankets for the chilly day! We loved seeing the park this way, and would highly recommend this trip and company to anyone!

Damien was so friendly and full of interesting facts and stories about Killarney Park, history of Ireland. You can see how much he loves his horse from the way he enthusiastically answered our questions about Molly. He made sure we were comfortable and provided blankets to keep us warm. We didn't miss anything and stopped at the best places for photos. This is definitely the way to see this magnificent park. I Highly recommend taking a private tour with Damien and Molly. Wonderful, the kids and us really enjoyed it. Damian was super nice and gave us lots of information about the park and landmarks around, and it was a great way to see a large portion of the beautiful park in a short time (we didn't have long). Definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park with Damien and Duke. Communication was great from the start, and Damien shared so much interesting information about the park throughout the tour. There were several beautiful stopping spots for photos, which made the experience even more memorable.
We especially appreciated how well they care for their horses and that they only offer private tours rather than overloading the horses just to fit more people in. Damien even offered us blankets, which was such a thoughtful touch since it was a chilly day.
He also gave us great recommendations for places to eat and even told us about the ferry that saved us nearly an hour of driving on our way to Doolin. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone interested in a relaxing horse ride or learning more about the park.

This tour was one of the best parts of our trip and turned our whole day around the day of. We missed our first train to Killarney and that caused us to miss our scheduled time for our tour but they were so awesome and worked with us to not only get a new time but also picked us up from the train station in the carriage to take us on the tour. The tour itself is incredibly beautiful and our tour guide had great knowledge and stories that made the entire journey one of the best of the trip. I couldn’t recommend this tour enough.

I learned about Killarney and Irish history while taking a very relaxed trip through the park. I just happened to get good weather but there are blankets on board if needed.

Damien was such a kind soul and generous guide on our tour. Warm blankets and fauna in the park, which we might have missed but for Damien. We had mobility issues in our group so this was definitely the way to see this magnificent nature surrounding Killarney. Highly recommend! And thank you, Daisy. We barely minded your stopping for a nibble on the spring greenery.

Damian went above and beyond for us. The weather was turning bad that afternoon so he moved our time up and got our tour complete earlier in the day. He met us at the train and dropped us at our down town hotel for efficiency. He was pleasant, informative, and loads of fun. BTW, Molly is the best horse in Kerry!

Our tour of Killarney National Park with Damien was INCREDIBLE!!! Our party was a grandmother, two sisters, and two teenagers and we were all incredibly engaged by the tour. The jaunting car was pulled by Daisy, a beautiful young Irish horse who was in excellent condition and clearly treated well by a family who loves her. Damien told us many interesting facts, pointed out deer in the woods, took pictures of our family, and was generally fantastic. Would HIGHLY recommend this tour for anyone!

Damien is absolutely wonderful! Not only was he very knowledgeable but very personable and professional. It was a cold rainy, cold venting snowy morning and he made sure we were comfortable with blankets, umbrellas, and even offered coffee. Height recommend!

It is a wonderful tour of Killarney National Park! Our driver was so friendly and full of interesting facts and history of Ireland. Our horse Daisy did an amazing job taking us on a pleasant journey through the park and Killarney. I highly recommend McCarthy Horse and Buggy Rides, it’s the best!!

Our family had the most wonderful experience on a horse carriage ride! From start to finish, it felt magical. The horse was gentle, well cared for, and added so much charm to the ride. The driver was incredibly kind, welcoming, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to book this tour, do it! Our guide was fantastic and we were so pleased to learn that it is offered by a family-owned and run business that treats their animals wonderfully. You will learn so much, see many beautiful sights and have a lovely time in the process. There are no downsides and it was so worth it.
