Bus Katmandu to Pokhara

The trip by bus Katmandu to Pokhara is 200km. It took over 9 hours. The road conditions were horrendous. Road works everywhere, dust, frequent single lane travel, incredibly bumpy ride, and heavey traffic with many large trucks. However the scenery was beautiful, amazing and always very interesting. Not sure this offset the travelling discomfort? The trip certainly not for the faint hearted.

Decrepit bus as expected. But that is what you get for this price in these parts and in the end it is part of the travelling experience. The trip took almost 10hrs, but that was due to the road conditions. Three food and pee stops included. On the positive side, checkin worked well. All details were communicated before on WhatsApp and it was easy to find the bus. Also, good and responsible driver who got us from K to P in one piece. The Swift busses looked in better shape. So I might try them for the next stretch of the trip.

The busride was good and the people working were nice, but i didn’t see a difference with the normal local buses (the cheaper ones). Therefore i would say its a bit overpriced.

Tourist bus operates only in the morning at 7:00 AM , specially targeted to foreigner, to avoid mass, congestion, harassments by the public 2. We have clean and comparatively comfortable seats than normal bus 3. We never do competition while driving, as such, other normal buses do competition to reach destination, to collect more passengers. They make countless stops during your travel 3. We do not keep extra passenger more than seat capacity, whereas normal other buses keep passenger more than their out of the capacity 4. The driver from other buses do careless, over speed, due to many accident happens and die many people 5.Tourist bus NEVER do over speed just go own pace, concerning your safety and comfortness. We can proudly say that we had never had happen a single record of Accident since two decades 6. Regarding to overprice, we are the supplier and the viator and TripAdvisor is planform of the marketing, Make sure the viator takes 25 % commission each of the booking.

We were looking for a good tourist bus after the greenline stopped running and ended up using this one. The bus driver was great and we felt perfectly safe the whole ride even with all of the construction happening on the road

Straight to the reason. I payed more than 1400 npr person and got a stander local bas. Where I we could have gotten Deluxe bus as advertised with comfortable sofa sit. Very disappointed with the guy who contacted us, as he was very friendly and seemed honest.

Good value for the money

The reservation on the App was easy, the operator got in touch with me afterwards on WhatsApp and sent us there the actual tickets. I requested a change of seats due to motion sickness sometimes and he did his best to help me. He even came to the bus the morning we left and talked to the driver about it. We got better seats in the end, although not in the front. Bus since the actual ride wasn’t as bumpy as we expected, it all went well. The ride took about 8 hours, with 3 stops: a breakfast, lunch and an extra 10 minute break. The bus had an AC, and everyone got a bottle of water. A minus though for the dirty and somewhat smelly seats. All in one, it is a nice experience if you want to see more of the country and you have a small budget.

El autobús estaba sucio y olía feo. Contacte al anfitrión para comentarle y se disculpó, estuvo al pendiente todo el tiempo pero no había nada que pudiera hacer. El viaje duro tres horas y media más del tiempo que se suponía que iba a hacer, debido a que están arreglando la carretera. La verdad si tienen la posibilidad de tomar un vuelo les recomendaría que lo hicieran, ya que el viaje en autobús si es incómodo y muy pesado.
