What an amazing two days we’ve had in and around Jaipur. Asif has been an excellent and informative guide, as has our taxi driver Jameel, who deserves a special mention for getting us through the mad Jaipur traffic safely. Our hosts have been friendly, helpful and flexible during our trip, resulting in a most memorable experience.

Comfortable tour of Jaipur

It’s a very comfortable way of visiting the main attractions of Jaipur. We really enjoyed the tour with Asif (guide) and Jabbar (driver). We didn’t feel rushed and we were able to adjust the itinerary with them. They were on time and they communicated well. Asif is very knowledgeable about the attractions and their history. Side note: We were taken to Rajasthan Handlooms Art And Jewellery store for shopping but later we realized this place was expensive and we overpaid for stuff that were cheaper in Bapu Bazaar. So if you plan to shop, first visit Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar.

History, Shopping, Great Food, and Surviving Indian Traffic

I had an incredible two days exploring Jaipur with Asif as my guide and Jabbar as my driver. From the start everything was smooth, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. Asif is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Jaipur and Rajasthan, and he brought every monument to life with clear explanations and great storytelling. We visited all the major sites including Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal, and he made sure the experience never felt rushed. What I appreciated most was that he also took the time to answer all my questions about modern daily life in India. We had fascinating conversations about education, healthcare, housing, and politics that gave me a much deeper understanding of the country beyond the monuments. He was also an excellent "IG boyfriend" taking great photos every where we went. IYKYK. Jabbar was an excellent driver throughout the two days. Navigating Jaipur traffic is no small task, but he drove calmly and confidently and always made me feel safe. Asif also helped me shop for traditional outfits for a wedding I was attending, which made the experience even more memorable. He brought me to great, clean places for meals and made sure everything felt comfortable and easy as a solo traveler. When it was time to continue my journey to Agra, Asif arranged a driver for me, Jameel, who was great. The drive was long but Jameel handled it with great skill and professionalism, and I felt completely safe the entire time. (Well as safe as you can feel when you are dodging cows, people, motor bikes, tuk tuks, trucks and potholes constantly) If you’re visiting Jaipur and dont want to have to think about logistics or transit from one site to another, even intercity, I highly recommend. Five stars all the way.

Great guide makes for a great tour

Our tour was the two day tour of Jaipur for first time visitors. Our guide was Asif and he was amazing! He knew not only the history each place, but how it related to other places we were seeing. He made sure we saw the sites listed in the itinerary but did not rush us. He was patient in answering our questions, gave us plenty of time to take photos, knew the best spots and angles to take photos of us, and allowed us to explore some areas on our own. His English was very good and understandable to us as Americans. We feel like we more than got value for the cost of the tour. We cannot recommend him highly enough. Ask for Asif!!

A special and authentic time in Jaipur

We had such a special experience with Asif and Ajju. They are genuinely kind and thoughtful people who made us feel comfortable right away. It never felt like just a tour. It felt like being shown around by people who truly care about what they do and about the people they are hosting. They showed us so many beautiful and meaningful places, and everything felt relaxed and well paced. We never felt rushed, and they were always happy to answer questions and share stories. One thing I especially appreciated was how accommodating they were. I needed help finding an outfit for a wedding I am attending, and they went out of their way to guide me to the right places. What felt overwhelming at first became such a smooth and enjoyable experience because of them. Asif also took so many beautiful photos of us at the historical sites throughout the day, photos I will cherish as memories of our time there. We are so grateful for the time we spent together and would absolutely recommend them to anyone visiting Jaipur.

2 days in Jaipur with extension to Taj Mahal / Agra

What an amazing trip with my personalised tour with Tour Guide, Asif and Driver Jabbar. Two full days in Jaipur visiting palaces, forts, monuments and temples. Asif is an extremely knowledgeable guide providing great insights into the history of Jaipur. However, I would still suggest one to do some pre-reading / research to get the most out of this tour. The tour was so good that I extended it with 2 other tours with them including a night tour with a tasting of local foods / culture, as well as a separate tour to Taj Mahal and Agra. Our driver Jabbar was very skilled in safely navigating through the often chaotic traffic, narrow lanes and not to mention driving through a foggy early morning drive to Agra.

It was a wonderful tour - both Asif and Mahindra (our tour guide and driver) were fantastic :) the tour was super customisable - meaning we could move around our plans. They even dropped us at the airport! Asif was super engaging and knew loads about each stop - we especially enjoyed hearing about his life as well as about each of the stops. Mahindra navigated traffic like a boss, it was a great and comfortable journey. Both of them were also super transparent. Genuinely really would recommend this tour to make sure you see the top sights of Jaipur in a short period of time ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We opted for a 2-day tour since we had the time. It can easily be done in 1 day, though that may feel a little rushed. Our guide, Hansraj, was knowledgeable, and was able to keep us engaged in English and Hindi. Got us tons of great photographs on our smartphones (knows the locations and the angles).We did have stops at a fabric place and artisan center, which were a little unnecessary. We did not want to buy, and they were nice but slightly persistent. We did the forts, the palaces, and stopped at pretty decent restaurants for lunch.

Very poor. Less than half of the sites not visited and it was just an “Ambush Shopping” scam

First, the good. The Driver Abdul was excellent. On time. Attentive. Courteous. Minimal horn usage. The bad: the two tour guides (different one for each day) each with no desire to stick to the itinerary (see my detailed breakdown at the end) We saw less than half of the promised sites and only saw some of those we did because we dismissed the 2nd day’s guide and sent him away to stop him wasting our time. The whole tour was geared to the agenda of the guides in getting us into shops to be ambushed with overpriced tat. We didn’t give in once and bought nothing but still they persisted. Both guides were keen to push how important astrology is to locals (and palm reading was mentioned) so there was clearly a planned scam to present us to some mystic to pay $$$ for a reading. We successfully rubbished this so didn’t have to give another “no thanks. No thanks” explanation to a pushy seller. There is also the scam of being taken to an overpriced tourist restaurant for lunch where everything costs twice what other tourist restaurants charge I.e. you get charged 5 times what you should and no doubt the guide gets a free meal and / or commission. The (supposed) itinerary: City Palace of Jaipur - yes, but each dress etc we saw in the displays was a conversation opening to take us to a fabric / suit making shop. Each piece of jewellery in the museum was an opening to mention that Jaipur is a world gemstone centre (it isn’t) Hawa Mahal - Nope. A drive past was done but unbelievably there was no plan or allowance to drop us off to go inside one of the most famous Jaipur monuments! (Except after we got fed up and sent the guide away on the second day, refusing to visit more shops and the driver took us here and the Isarlet to finish the day) Jantar Mantar - Yes. Isarlat (Tower) - Nope. (Except after we got fed up and sent the guide away on the second day, refusing to visit more shops and the driver took us here and Hawa Mahal to finish the day) Albert Hall Museum - Nope. We were taken to see it from afar: 200m away at the end of the last day but that was it. Birla Mandir Temple - Nope Patrika Gate - Nope. We asked because it was on the itinerary but were told it’s too far out of town. Amer Fort - Yes, with a nice stop at the Stepwell on the way. Jaigarh Fort -Nope. We saw it high above us from Amber Fort but were driven back to town and not offered it. Another major tourist attraction simply omitted due to lack of time. Nahargarh Fort - Nope. We had already driven back to town at this point so it was 30+ minute journey when I asked so we were told it was to be a walking street tour (cue more overpriced shops). Again. A major tourist attraction just omitted. Royal Gaitor Tumbas - Nope, not included. Jal Mahal, "Water Palace," - Yes. A car stop so we could see it from a good viewpoint on the lakeside.

Really respectful and knowledgeable guide for Jaipur

He's a really respectful driver who will also tell you great facts about the Jaipur city. Is punctual and will warn you from all the things for tourists to be aware about like overpriced places, tour guides who will misguide you, etc. Overall, a great and safe driver!

We had the 2 day tour in Jaipur with Jamil and Jai. They were incredible, Jamil is an excellent driver and Jai an amazing tour guide, knowing a lot about history and answering all our questions. We felt very comfortable with them. Would definitely recommend.

Well the travel agency that viator has assigned to me when I made my reservation the person who got in touch with me me month before the trip disappeared when I tried to reach him the night of tour he was shopping for a driver and a tour guide one the guides finally called at 10 pm the he didn’t like it seems so he assigned another one that showed up next day told me he was contacted the late at night for this tour and the driver who is a taxi driver also showed up pretending he is the bother of the travel agent what a miss, these 2 people tried their best with their limited ability and bad shaped vehicle taking all pumby roads did the tour with me the guides finally called smokes so he gets irritated and restless if he didn’t get his smoking break I was so patient with his limitations of taking photos with I phone he and the driver did their best to the best of their ability to make me happy

Our tour experience was great. The communication before the start was helpful to know who the driver and guide were going to be. Across both days the team of Mahender, Jai Singh and Hitesh were great at getting us around the city and seeing everything in an efficient way, as well as providing good insight into jaipur and answering any questions that we had. I would recommend this experience!
