Is this experience worth the cost and the answer is simple… if you love a thrilling experience, beautiful views, and excitement, all in one then the answer is absolutely yes!!! This is not the typical sledding you think of in your backyard, this is fast speed down the mountains with lots of curves and beautiful views. I would absolutely do this again.

Poor organisation - emailed 3 days before about a change in location, then 1 day before to be told our original date was being cancelled. Rebooked for a different evening. Had to chase the refund for the first night being cancelled.
Activity stated maximum guests would be 22 but there was 31 on the tour. One group of very loud lads on the tour impacting on the experience of others - nothing done to try and control this by the team.
Had to collect sleds from a very dark room with building materials all over the place and no lighting - health and safety hazard.
No consideration for those of us that were less confident on the sledding slopes. One of the guides came whizzing up behind us towards the end making me have to jump out of the way and just carried on past whilst laughing. Overall just a very negative experience for those who are not confident or used to being on these kinds of slopes - would not recommend unless you are confident in what you’re doing.
I contacted the company to express my concerns and ask whether we could receive any money back given all of the above and was told no. Very poor customer service and little care shown towards their customers both during the tour and following detailed feedback.

This was a great outdoor adventure, both terrifying and exhilarating… sledding down the mountain paths at night. Our original venue was canceled due to lack of snow; Outdoor + organized a similar excursion to an even taller slope, and it was enjoyable for all the family!

The guides are excellent — very attentive, patient, and supportive. There is an initial explanation on how to use the sled, and guides accompany and assist throughout the route. In my case, I even twisted my knee, and a guide supported me the entire time. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about the guides or their assistance.
The concern is about the activity itself.
Even with the basic training provided, the sled has no mechanical brake, control depends entirely on technique and coordination, and once the descent starts, it is not possible to stop or turn back — you must continue until the end.
In addition, almost the entire route runs alongside a precipice, without continuous safety nets or side protection. This level of risk is not clearly explained before the descent begins.
For me, falling, getting a bruise, or minor injuries can be part of a fun activity. This situation is different: it involves a serious risk that requires prior experience.
For locals, who are familiar with the activity and have the necessary skills, this may not be an issue.
For tourists without prior experience, I would not recommend this activity, despite the excellent guidance provided. This information is essential so visitors can make an informed and safe decision.

If you like speed and don't mind the snow this is a great experience!
Some of the runs got fast, but the instructors are great at assisting where needed.

This is one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I am a 60 year old woman and did this with my 23 and 28 year old kids and husband and other 60+ year old family members. It is somewhat physically challenging but so worth it. Beautiful views and we were fortunate to have an amazing snowfall before going. Our guide Poca was very nice. The drive up the mountain was a little scary at times because we had some problems with the chains on the tires but once we got up to the top it was amazing. It was very nice to have access to snowpants, boots etc so we didn’t have to pack them. I highly recommend this trip.

We really enjoyed the experience of interacting with the ski gondolas after dark and then making our way down the hill on our sleds. The company runs the event well and we enjoyed our guide.

Learning to toboggan was fun but I was under the impression it was a maintained trail with lights along the side and a groomed path. It’s truly an unlit path in the woods. We didn’t have a clear night so it was hard to see where you were going and we had to walk a lot because the fresh snow slowed down the trail. It’s a coin toss: if you have a clear night I bet it’s more fun. The lights in the photos are what the guides have you wear so they can find you. You wear them on your back so it doesn’t help you see. One guide was great, the other clearly didn’t want to be there.

Cancelled it at short notice leaving me no time to find suitable alternative. Still not been refunded despite them saying they will do it straight away. But clearly have not and not been honest with viator about them cancelling it!! Some sort of scam here or what?

Hi GoPlaces, I'm sorry to hear about your cancellation, I know it can be frustrating when the weather conditions don't cooperate and we're forced to cancel trips. It's the last thing we want to do but unfortunately these things are unpredictable.
All our cancellations in this case receive 100% refund so you don't need to worry about getting your money back. Sometimes banks take a while to process the refund and you need to be a bit patient, especially over the holiday period, but we haven't had any communication from anyone still waiting for or missing a refund from a cancelled trip.
For this reason it would be great if you could reach out to us directly with some more details about your booking so we can look into it for you. Please email us with your name and trip date and we'll get back to you ASAP :-)

We were lucky to get a clear night and s full moon. Picked up from hotel and taken to shop for cloth UK NGOs rental, (recommend ski trousers if you don't have them) then taken up to the gondola, picked up sled and rode to the top, (freaky at night). The sled run down is able to be done at whatever speed you are comfortable at and only a minimum level of fitness is required. Awesome views and quietness.

We didn't know what to expect, as we had only gone sledding down basic smaller hills in our town. It was exceptionally fun! Truly the longest sledding ride, with the thrill of going down the hill (sometimes very fast), and the extra added bonus of it being at night.

This was such a blast! The sledding was amazing and beautiful- I wish they offered it during the day too! I liked how you could choose to go slow or fast. It was so fun and safe to go fast, but I loved slowing down to look at the stars and scenery too. The fondue was delicious as well. Amazing experience all around!
