Great Views of several bays & the lighthouse. Plenty of stops for better viewing & taking pictures. Hector knows the area very well & he was very informative. We enjoyed the stops in the city as well.

Hualtulco Visit

Manuel did an awesome job. He was very knowledgeable about the facts and history of Hualtalco. The port is pretty. It was too far to go the other town we visited, with the church. The town was very 3rd world. We met a nice local couple there who demonstrated making tortillas. The mezcal shop we visited in Hualtulco gave us numerous samples. We bought two bottles.

Good tour

Good excursion. A little confusing at the beginning - some people were given red tags, others green, but we ended up on same van. Not sure what the different colors were meant to represent, and the rep said I’d didn’t matter. But once we started the tour, it was good. We covered a lot of areas, and guide was good.

We are not the only company that puts labels as recognition, some put them on clothing, thanks to this, it is difficult for you to get lost from the group on a day of cruising, we really do it to avoid any panic even if it is for 2 seconds.

A good tour of a so-so town

There's just not that much to see in Huatulco. It's a manufactured vacation destination. Our guide did take us to see a neighborhood woman who gets by by making tortillas and a weaving shop where old fashioned looms are still used, plus a church and drive through the countryside. Ok, just not all that.

Not too much to see in Huatulco and the surrounding area. Ricardo, the driver and Manuel the guide, did their best to make the tour enjoyable. Of course, too much time was allotted for shopping.

Enjoyable tour

Alberto was a good guide, very knowledgeable with excellent English. Initially he took to to several viewpoints along the coast, explaining about Huatulco's green credentials. He was happy to take photographs of us with the bright blue Pacific as the backdrop. Then he took us into the town centre and dropped us off for just under an hour to do our own thing (while he did a taxi run) picking us up in front of the church in the photo. We didn't get to visit a (weavers) looms shop, but had a quick stop to see them make tortillas and to taste one. We also didn't get to sample the different flavours of Oaxaca like: mole, chocolate, string cheese, salsas, grasshoppers and especially a huge range of mezcal flavours, as he seemed to be in a rush to take us back to our ship to pick up another tour party. Still the tour was much cheaper than the equivalent one our cruise ship was offering.
