Lights, Camera and NOT Family Friendly

The lights were fabulous, but to call this a family friendly tour was not accurate. Before entering the van that would take us as well as during the tour the guide, Keith, thought it was appropriate with my parents, my husband and myself to reference sexual comments about Houstonian residents on the tour as well as houses that murders occurred. Increased references to the lights, Christmas spirit, and not alluding to gore or sexual references would have put us more into the Christmas spirit.

I am sorry that Heather and or her husband and parents were offended. They had no children on this tour and everyone was at least 49 years of age so I thought that they were mature enough to learn about famous people and murders that have taken place in River Oaks. Many people request me to share stories about the past and present residences of River Oaks and murders crimes committed by these people. They ask me in advance are we going by the site of the murder of one person and another as well as are we going to see where various famous and infamous people have lived. These are among the highlights to learn more about Houston history and they request more information. However, I will ask clients in the future at the outset about their preferences so I can be more sensitive. Thank you for your feedback.
