This tour was a great view into life outside the big cities. Our guide Trang was fantastic! She easily answered all of our questions about life in the villages and details of life in general in Vietnam. Her English language skills were very good and she was easy to understand. The tour was a good mix of activities. We would highly recommend this tour. Our driver was also very competent and professional. Both our tour guide and driver were very friendly and engaging.

My friend and I did this excursion and it was arguably our favorite thing we did on our trip to Vietnam! Trang was the BEST and really went above and beyond for us. We had an amazing experience on this tour! Henry was an outstanding guide – extremely informative, kind, and engaging throughout the entire trip. He shared so many interesting facts and stories and made everything easy to understand and enjoyable.
Our driver, Dragon, was also excellent – very professional and made us feel completely safe and comfortable the whole time.
The tour took us to fantastic places, perfectly chosen, and everything was well organized. We truly felt we got the most out of the experience.

I loved this tour which visited some of the rural areas to see traditional crafts and activities. I am elderly and not very mobile but the guide, Quang, was great at adapting the tour to my needs and interests and at answering all my questions. I highly recommend this tour and this particular guide.

We had our tour with Thuan, who was a nice guide and shared with us his experience living in Hoi An and a good narrative for each of the stops we made. The tour took us to a rice paper factory, incense store, mat weaving factory, coffee shop, and a farm. Automation has taken over the way many of these are run today, so it was interesting that this tour helps fund these families to show the old ways of how things used to be done back in the countryside. The tour also included a banana boat ride in Coconut Village, and my friends who had gone on another boat ride the day before said that our ride was much quieter and less touristy than the one they had gone to. It was a nice way to see a part of Hoi An that isn't easy to visit as a tourist on your own.

Tour was fantastic for my friend. I started on the tour, but started feeling sick from previous days food. They were so sweet and offered medicine. They ended up being me back to the hotel while my friend stayed on the trip. It was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend!

Hoi An tour in US Jeep with Kha. It was really good and immersive experience ending with a big yummy lunch. Kha was a great tour guide, very friendly. It was a rainy day with flooding everywhere, but despite this, it was an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend.

Our tour guide Sunny was outstanding. He and our driver, Long, were warm, funny and informative. Each of the families we visited were equally as welcoming. We were given fabulous experiences of rice cake, weaving and incense making. As well as coconut boating and crab fishing. Driving through the villages and rice paddies amongst water and buffalo and farmers drying rice in a war jeep was a fabulous day out. We got off the beaten track and experienced the real Vietnam. I highly recommend doing this trip with Sunny.

My sister and I had such a wonderful experience! We were very impressed with the organisation of the tour which was made extra enjoyable by the authenticity and kindness of our amazing local tour guide, Trang. We felt safe and well-looked after by our skillful driver, Yen, who made sure we were always comfortable and stayed hydrated with chilled water bottles throughout the tour.
We thoroughly enjoyed visiting all the locations and meeting the local artisans who kindly shared their well refined skills and craftmanship, meticulously using traditional techniques. We acknowledge and appreciate that the company 'Local Buddy Tours' is actively supporting the local community and trying to help with conserving the local culture and traditions.
Our fabulous tour guide, Trang, exhibits passion, authenticity and dedication towards providing exceptional service. It made such a difference that Trang lives in the local area and she obviously feels a strong connection to her community which is evident in her genuine interactions with the artisans. Trang generously shared interesting facts and stories which provided us insights into what life is really like growing up in Hoi An. Also, being a chef previously certainly adds an extra element of expertise and knowledge when Trang explained the local ingredients and how they are used to cook local cuisine.

I must say, this tour was one of the best tours I’ve ever done, Trang was a simple amazing guide and everything felt very naturally and not forced at all. It was truly amazing to get such a inside view into different traditions and to learn more about the culture of Vietnam. I would truly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to support the local people more, as this tour supports them directly. I also really recommend Trang, she is one of my favorite tour guides I had so far. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

We had a very good day in the u s jeeps with our guide Kha we went to see insent sticks bed mats coffee and rice paper being made and got to have a go at making them. We also went fishing in a coconut boats saw mat. We had a brilliant time would highly recommended it Kha is a very good guide.

This is a great half day. Our tour guide, Kha was great. You see so much and he knew the exact amount of time to spend on each activity so you never get tired of any one thing. We did rice noddle making, mat weaving, incense making, coconut boat ride and vegetable village visit. Plus Kha told us all about the local people and their lives. Highly recommend if you want to get out of the Old Town and see more to Hoi An.

What a blast! We rode around the beautiful countryside in a refurbished old Vietnam era Army jeep. Our host Thanh gave us so much history of the area, he was able to show us examples of how people use the resources of the land to live and create.. We stopped at several locations to enjoy watching people perform their crafts ( we were even able to try our own hand badly) all in good fun! The coffee stop was just beautiful, with yummy drinks. WOW lunch- the garden was huge and all of the food was prepared right to the table.. we were given several courses of the freshest, most delicious Vietnamese dishes! We had such a fun day. Thanhs command of English is outstanding and he is delightful and fun.. We felt very safe driving with Sang at the wheel, he negotiates the traffic and navigates like a pro! Book this tour, you’ll be so glad you did!!

Our guide “Kha” was an amazing guide. He met us at our hotel on time and delivered us back. I chose a private tour. A great way to spend the day in Hoi An with kids. It was perfect from beginning to end.
