Surprisingly good!
A great tour, good value for money.
Our Guide knew her stuff and was extremely knowledgeable in all questions that were thrown at her. From the history of the business to the buildings, surroundings and intricate processes used in the making of beer plus the beer tasting at the end, this tour is a winner.

For my wife and myself this suited us. Excellent tour with an excellent guide. My wife is now a black beer drinker 😂. Thanks you

Tom was a fantastic tour guide! If you want to know the inside story of the oldest continuously running brewery in Oz, then this is a must. Don’t forget to sample 1st Harvest…it’s awesome!

Our guide was excellent and explained everything thoroughly
Disappointed as I thought the brewery would be working

Really worth the visit
Our tour leader was very informative
We did the tasting paddle and what we had left we took and enjoyed it at our leisure in the bar area
We had a beautiful dinner in the restaurant at the end of the tour

Atmospheric, historically significant to Hobart brewery. Great tour guide, not afraid of controversy making the tour conversations interesting, as well as informative. The after drinks paddle, relaxing gardens and chit chat w family helped make this experience a great memory for me.

Wear close toed shoes!

The tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and our group was kept under his watchful eye when walking the site making you feel safe. Recommend a session after lunch to make the most of the beer samples on a full stomach =]

Short trip by taxi from town, therefore cheap journey cost to and from. So no one has to drive. Great tour followed by fun testing of their beers. Worth the time, good fun. Recommendation!

Lots of steps but has railing. Where closed in shoes. Great value with a tasting for the price. And very informative tour. Bought a yummy lunch in restaurant next door after.

Our tour guide, Henry, was very accommodating & knowledgeable. He supplied a safety vest, safety glasses & a hard hat for the whole group. There are closed in shoes supplied if you show up in sandles etc. At the end of the tour you are given four different beers to sample.

JD - the tour guide- was really informative and entertaining. A great interesting tour that finished with a beer tasting! How can you find fault with that?

Great experience.
A very good guided tour trough the brewerie. Finished by a great tasting of 4 beers.
After the tour we've had a great lunch and spent Senegal hours in the garden tasting more lovely beers.

We really enjoyed the Cascade Brewery tour; we got to the tour from the Hobart Hop on and off from the Cruise Terminal; the tour includes a history of the brewery and a nice beer tasting at the end. Highly recommend - the tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly! We stayed after the tour for lunch at their restaurant, which was amazing!

It was interesting, learnt new things. It was well paced. The presenter was clear and fun. Although she did talk a little to fast at times. The tour was very informative and well presented.

Our guide was a wonderful presenter who found the perfect balance of facts, history and humour. We finished our day off by enjoying the tasting drinks from the tour, plus a few more, along with some side dishes in the gardens. Highly recommend this tour as true value.

Great tour. Hugo the tour guide and driver was brilliant. My hubby and I were a bit late at the meeting point, but he returned back to us. Thanks for your patience. Port Arthur is a memorable trip and would recommend it to everyone.

Viator says to meet at 140 Cascade Rd, STH Hobart. DO NOT GO THERE. It’s a basic pub. Put in Cascade Brewery and head there.

Had a blast today on the brewery tour. We all got our hi vis happening and off we set with Laura (from memory, but she’s a Scottish lass) & she was mighty informative & mightily funny (of course - she’s a Scot after all). Now, steps people.. There are quite a few stairs so be forewarned. But this fat old broad with a dickie knee managed it, so don’t hold back.
At the end of the tour we all received a paddle tasting board. Do yourself a massive favor and head on out to the garden restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.
The beer is amazing and so was the food!
Seriously people, even if you’re not a beer drinker they have cider (which I was told was pretty awesome). Look, even if you head there for a feed you won’t go wrong.
So pleased that we did this tour.

Great little 1hr tour with tasty beer tasting afterwards. Met some great people and Rob the guide was great.

Shakira was fantastic! Highly informative, easy to listen to and happy to answer questions. There are so many reviews that are negative due to not being able to enter the buildings but this doesn't deter from it being a great tour. So interesting, definitely not boring and so much to see. Do this tour - we'd do it again it was so good!
Simone_S, Aug 2025
The tour guide was very informative and the tour was not to long. You use to be able to pour a beer at the end. This was no longer available which was a bit sad.
Josephine_C, Jul 2025
Very interesting well run tour.
Our guide was well informed, very friendly and the process and history was very interesting.
Carol_B, Mar 2025
Very informative tour on the history of Cascade brewery and how Cascade beer is made, then to enjoy the finished product on a tasting paddle.
