An intimate, educational hands-on session 😊

I had a very enjoyable time learning about how a bonsai plant is created and found it very calming to be in touch with nature. My guide Ryousuke was congenial, punctual and engaging. He always responded promptly to my online messages regarding questions about my booking. I was allowed to select a young pine and was personally taught by this 2nd generation bonsai farm owner, steps to create a bonsai plant, from pruning, to wiring (for shaping), to repotting and caring. If you're interested in this aspect of Japanese culture, it's a nice experience for a beginners hands-on lesson, as they are open to all questions related to bonsai. Overall, it was an educational and enjoyable time that also included a brief break to enjoy some Japanese chilled tea and red bean paste pastry, along with some friendly conversation.
