We were upgraded to a luxury mini van with hotel pick up and an awesome tour guide. Cesar was delightful with so much local knowledge and explained the culture and history of Helsinki and Finland. Our group of 12 were enjoying Suomenlinna so much our island tour guided extended the tour for another hour. It was a fantastic tour and we highly recommend . There were young children and teenagers in our group and they were well catered for.

This tour was supposed to be a walking tour, but was upgraded with hotel pick-up and drive to the various attractions which made me happy considering it was a very cold day in Helsinki. Our first guide Henry, was a cautious driver and provided us with adequate information about the sites and enough time for us to walk around on our own. Our other guide at the Suomenlinna was Christina who was a wealth on information. She pointed out important areas of the fortress and history of the attraction. My husband & I enjoyed the tour including the ferry going to Suomenlinna.

Very nice day viewing sights of Helsinki. It would have been difficult to see all these sights in a day without the tour. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and personable.

It was pouring snow in Helsinki but Harry made sure we still saw the city. We had a driver for the first part of our trip around Sibelius park, the churches and Old Market Hall, then we walked briefly to the ferry terminal and went over to Suomenlinna where we had an additional second guide who is specific to the island. Even in the cold and snow it was a beautiful day!

We only had two days to spend in Helsinki so this was a wonderful way to soak up the highlights of this city. We never felt rushed. We had a spectacular autumn day and our wonderful guide, Francisco was very knowledgeable.

The rain did dampen the time on the island but Sanna was a mine of information and did lovely additional thinks like tasting tar sweets and Finnish chocolate to help illustrate elements of Finnish culture and social behavior that might seem strange to visitors.

Everything was very nice. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We can’t understand why it was so expensive, since there was no bus, and it did rain intermittently.

Harry was very knowledgeable and personable. He gave a wonderful understanding of the Finnish people and culture. (It would have been nice to know where other tour attendees were from.) We really enjoyed Harry’s knowledge of the history of Finland from Sweden to Russian to their independence and current affairs.
The tour on Soumenlinna was ok, and we didn’t get to visit everything or walk around on our own.
We recommend spending another full day to walk by the colorful houses and beautiful parks and explore the waterside of Helsinki.

Was a great tour! Our tour was up graded to half a vehicle tour and half of a walking tour. Our guide provided an excellent tour of the city highlights and many out of the way, points of interest. Could never have seen so much on our own. This tour is one I can highly recommend.

Our guide Harry was very good - friendly, knowledgeable, multilingual. We really enjoyed learning about the history and people of Helsinki. Cathedrals and markets pretty and interesting. Suomenlinna also very good. Our only negative was the amount of ice on the trails there with no hand rails - sticks or ice treads recommended. Sköl!

Our guide was Leticia and she was delightful. We had a lovely time roaming the city, first by bus, then by foot. We took a ferry to Suomenlinna which was a highlight. Highly recommend this as an excursion on your first day in Helsinki, to help inform the remainder of your trip.

I booked this tour several months ahead of our visit, and as the day drew closer, the tour operator contacted us to say we’d been upgraded to a bus tour with all the same stops. This was certainly fine with us and we did see all the wonderful sights in the city (except the rock church, which had sadly been taken off the itinerary without informing me in advance) as well as some free time in the market. The trip over to Suomenlinna, however, was quite rushed - it was not at all a leisurely stroll to learn about and appreciate the place, our guide was quite set on staying on schedule. Again, staying on schedule is understandable, but for us it was too rushed to feel comfortable. This, plus the change of itinerary without informing us, is the reason for 4 stars. Otherwise though, the guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed our day - for first time visitors, I might suggest skipping Suomenlinna unless you have at least 3 hours dedicated to that part of the day, plus more time for the city sights.

Dear customer,
Thank you for your review. Before summer, we changed the tour product that does not include the rock church visiting since there is a really long waiting time (30mins to 1 hour) to get in the church, many customers have given feedback they do not like it since during the waiting time they could visit other places, so we took the rock church visiting away from this product.
We are very sorry that we missed double-checking that your booking date is in January which is before the changes we made to the product, so we forgot to update this information to you before the tour.
After discussing with the guide we understand that the guide wanted to show you one attraction that is not in the program and is a bit far from the route, which makes the schedule a bit tight. The guide has to keep the timetable since there are cruise guests who have the scheduled departure time, we do not want any delay and put our guests a risk of missing their ship:)

We had a wonderful tour guide, Georg. He was a walking encyclopedia about Finland. We learned so much. If you want to learn the history and cultural significance of the various point of interest, Georg is the right person for it.
