Was cool as the guide followed you virtually and knew where you were standing. Simpler than a person as well
Great overview of the old city. The guide was easy to use and informative. There was flexibility to move quickly or take more time to stop and reflect.
While I do enjoy a guide-led tour and that is my first choice, if time is no object. For Heidelberg we simply needed a guided tour so that we could understand some of the history and the historical buildings. We took a chance on the self guided tour and I would SO do it again if I didn’t have time for a full tour. Technically the tour was great - kept up with us while walking and, since we used our own earbuds, very easy to hear. A fab experience!
We appreciated the recording stopping at the sights and directing us to where to go next!
The information shared was meaningful.
Very disappointed we abandoned using it because we couldn't start it from wherever you want it was limited to starting in the same place it needs to be flexible as the traffic through the castle is erratic. In addition too too much time to download. Basically a waste of money.

We understand that it isn't always possible to start the tour at exactly the starting point. This is why we have a Resume feature that allows you to pick up from your nearest location. Did you try using the Resume feature?

I had a little trouble when first using the app (Voicemap) but, once I figured that out, the rest of the tour was easy to follow. The tour was interesting and informative, without being too in depth.
The tour was pretty simple, but it was worth the small price. The narrator had obviously lived here, and had interesting tidbits and info to share. It also gets you through the Altstadt, which was what I wanted.
Easy self audioguide tour that enabled us to explore Heidelberg's highlights at our own pace. Inexpensive way to see the town area by the castle; recommend!
Interesting details that I would not have known otherwise. I did however pass by, on my own, many more squares, statues and historical sights that could have also been included since they were close by.
