Met by Linh at port gate as planned and taken in a comfortable, air conditioned car to see the sights of Hanoi. Linh was very friendly and gave us lots of information about the places we visited and tweaked our timetable to allow us to take a rickshaw ride through the old quarter. Highlight of the day was seeing the train pass through Train Street just feet from where we were enjoying an egg and coconut coffee. It was a long drive back to port and a busy day but Linh and our driver, Tang, made sure we did everything we wanted to make the most of our visit and would highly recommend them.

We had an informative and interesting private tour of Hanoi due to our guide Bsoucmet us at HaLong Bay Port and our driver took us to Hanoi. We saw all of the highlights of the city while Bsoc provided background information and history. This was an excellent experience that was well worth the price!

We had an exceptional day with our tour guide Kimo. He took us to so many interesting sites. We saw the Ho Chi Minh Palace, had a great coffee on train street with the best view. We had some quiet time at turtle Bay. We had a great pho lunch, and visited the local market. He also helped us learn local customs including how to safely cross the street. He was so kind when we had some special needs to take care of. Thank you for a memorable and special day 💗

The tour began with an unexpected visit to a pearl outlet on the outskirts of Halong. This was ok, but we had been to a pearl farm in tahiti a couple of years ago, so nothing new and the time there could have been spent in hanoi. Our guide Linh was excellent and very passionate about the history of vietnam. The school of literature was very good as was lunch. The hanoi hilton was good, but it was having a fantastic coffee trackside as the train rumbled by close enough to touch that was a highlight. It was a long but enjoyable day that was well worth it.

Excellent experience. We saw everything we wanted to see and our guide, Nora, and driver, Tung, we're top-notch. They were professional, friendly, and Nora spoke very good English. I would have liked more commentary in the car as we passed things. We toured at our own pace, had a lovely lunch, and got to enjoy Hanoi and the Vietnamese people. Made us want to return and spend more time.

We had an excellent guide and experienced a delicious bahn mi lunch and visited the Hanoi prison, which was used by both the French and the North Vietnamese. we also visited the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum.

Our driver and guide were waiting for us at the port exit. Throughout the trip into Hanoi, our guide Dac, was interesting, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He provided us with lots of information about the city of Hanoi and the country in general. We had been to Vietnam before but first time in Hanoi. During the day we visited the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo prison, enjoyed a tasty bowl of bun cha for lunch, Hoan Kiem Lake, a local market, and Hanoi Train Street. Overall a long but interesting day with a great driver and our guide Dac.

We enjoyed our tour with Lin in Hanoi. She was very sweet and conscientious. The library of literature and education was a highlight as was seeing the horror of the Hanoi Hilton. We shared a pho lunch that was very good . The train street was also a highlight. Having tea or coffee and watching a train go by right in front of us was thrilling. Four stars instead of five was because we often had a hard time understanding our guide and felt that she should have given us more information instead of us asking her questions.

Our guide Ms. Linh was very courteous and sweet. My one negative comment was regarding the terrible experience on the drive/trip back to the cruise ship port after touring Hanoi. We should have been given a chance to use the bathroom/toilet before the long drive; we were stuck in traffic for one very very excruciating long hour before the bathroom break, not an enjoyable drive at all!!!

Unfortunately, on your way back to Ha Long Port that afternoon, there was an accident at the entrance to the highway, causing a traffic jam that lasted nearly two hours and doubled the expected travel time to the port. We understand that it was a frustrating experience beyond anyone's control, and certainly not something we wanted to happen. We was truly happy to know that you eventually made it back to the port safely and had such wonderful memories in Hanoi with Sondax Travel.
