We had a lovely day in Hangzhou with Kimi as our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and kept us busy. We had a boat trip on West Lake, followed by a trip to the Longjing tea farm then a fantastic lunch trying some freshly cooked Chinese dishes. The afternoon was spent at the Lingyin Temple. Would definitely recommend this trip

Today we do private tour to Hangzhou. Caroline is the tour leader. She is a very friendly, cheerful, and bright person. Going on this one day trip with her is very enjoyable. She shows us a lot of tips and is very helpful throught out the trip. She takes pictures for us, explain the history well, and she also help us order the best and most delicious food I've ever taste.

Great day on the water, visited the largest housed Buddha temple and had a delicious lunch. Caroline is very knowledgeable and kept us on time to each destination. Make sure to buy the grade A green tea from the local farmers. A wonderful gift and treat for yourself when you arrive home.

We had an excellent experience with our guide, Queena. She was very patient and attentive, and when plans needed to be adjusted, she always prioritised our welfare and best interests. Queena was also highly informative, sharing insightful knowledge about the sights and ensuring that we gained a deeper understanding of the local culture.
In addition, Aleena—our main point of contact from the start—was prompt, organised, and very supportive in arranging the tour. Her gentle reminders and the group chat helped us stay well-prepared and clearly informed about the day’s programme.

Wonderful day start to finish! We began at West Lake with a lovely boat ride and walk around the lake and then enjoyed a little hike up to sea the tea plantation. After enjoying some local green tea we had a delicious lunch and then went to the temple which was amazing. Caroline was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommend!

Our private day trip to Hangzhou was absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Caroline. From the moment she met us at our hotel and guided us seamlessly onto the bullet train, everything was smooth, stress-free, and well-organized.
The boat ride on West Lake was beautiful and peaceful, and Caroline brought the history and culture to life with her thoughtful stories. The visit to the Longjing Tea Village was a highlight — walking through the lush tea fields, learning about the famous Dragon Well tea, and enjoying an authentic local lunch made it such a unique experience. Caroline even made sure we tried the tea in the traditional way, which was a special touch.

From start to finish, our private tour to Hangzhou was absolutely incredible. The day began with a seamless hotel pick-up, and from that moment we knew we were in great hands with our guide, Caroline. She was warm, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make the experience memorable.
Our first stop was the beautiful West Lake, and Caroline brought the history and legends of the area to life in such a captivating way. The scenery was breathtaking, and she knew all the best spots for photos and quiet moments away from the crowds.
Next, we visited the Dragon Well tea farm, which was a highlight of the day. Walking among the lush tea terraces while learning about the history and traditions of Chinese tea was both relaxing and fascinating. We were able to taste some of the freshest tea imaginable, and it was unforgettable.
Lunch was another highlight—Caroline introduced us to a wonderful local restaurant where every dish was delicious and authentic. She made sure we tried specialties that we never would have discovered on our own.
Our final stop was the Lingyin Temple, one of the most spiritual and beautiful places we’ve ever visited. Caroline’s explanations of the temple’s history, artwork, and Buddhist traditions added so much depth to the experience, making it not just a sightseeing stop but a meaningful cultural journey.
Caroline truly made this day special with her kindness, professionalism, and deep knowledge of Hangzhou. We came away with wonderful memories, stunning photos, and a new appreciation for this beautiful part of China.

We just had a private tour from Shanghai to Hangzhou for a day trip for our family of 4. The tour operator, Alana, was fantastic, she was very informative, transparent and very organized. All fees and costs were discussed upfront with no hidden fees which I love
The upgrade to 1st class train ticket which was unexpected. It was a nice touch which were greatly appreciated
The whole team from the drivers to the tour guide, Xin, were super nice. I also love the fact that the cars that picked us up from and to the hotel and drove us around in Hangzhou were luxurious. Xin was amazing and spoke perfect English

It was another rainy day in Shanghai but our guide Caroline, made our day trip to HangZhou one of the most educational and enjoyable experience for my wife and I. She literally made Chinese history and culture come to life for us through her interesting stories and detailed explanations. The program she tailored for us also allowed us to fully exploit our limited time spent in HangZhou. We cruised around 西湖 and caught all the historical sites there. We climbed up a hill to 龙井村 nestled in a tea plantation. And we also visited the legendary 灵隐寺 to pray for good health and good fortune. Not to mention a very sumptuous lunch at 绿茶restaurant. We did all these within just a few hours. Caroline was bubbly, helpful and patient, taking very good care of us throughout. Notwithstanding the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would strongly recommend this tour and Caroline to anyone who wishes to explore HangZhou from Shanghai for a day. Cheers!

Our tour to Hangzhou turned out to be a fantastic experience. The city is in very scenic surroundings with a beautiful lake nestled in the midst of verdant hills and travelling between the various scenic spots was a very pleasant experience as the city is very green and well maintained. We had a wonderful time visiting Westlake and taking a boat trip which turned out to be very serene and relaxing. The visit to a tea estate was informative and interesting , and the green hillsides with charming homes was a beautiful sight. We also visited the famous Lingyin Temple.
The tour was made even more memorable by our wonderful guide, Caroline. She is very knowledgeable, informative and shared a lot of insights about the city, tea cultivation and Buddhism. She has a great sense of humor, making the tour thoroughly enjoyable. There’s never a dull moment with her around! She is a dedicated professional who takes her job seriously and looks after her guests with great care and consideration.
