The price was right, but the pick up location is definitely off the beaten path! You have to go out the main gate and past all of the other golf cart companies and down a dirt road to find them. At first, it felt a bit sketchy, but we got the cart and it was very reliable. Overall a good day!!

Im not sure how the experience was because we couldnt go. So i gave 1 star..Our stop to grand turk was canceled due to weather. But I would rate the quickness of customer service in refunding my payment to 5 stars.

When you book, there should be information that you are responsible to fill the gas tank before returning the cart.

Hello, majority of the carts on the island are slow due to conservation of the engine. If it’s too fast might blow the engine because it’s just a golf cart, if you wanted something faster you could rent a car which is faster. Appreciate the feedback but it’s not appropriate to say do not rent from us because the cart is slow. Thank you!

The golf cart pick up area is the farthest one from the port and made for a long walk which was fine for us physically but for those that aren’t able to walk that distance it may be difficult. It was a rainy and windy day and the golf cart didn’t have a windshield, we were very envious of the tourists that did have a windshield. And last and definitely not least, the golf cart was very difficult to get started, we had to very lightly press on/feather the throttle to get it started and if you let off too quickly it would stall - many times we were in a stressful situation when it stalled in the middle of the road then we couldn’t get it restarted and traffic had to either go around us, stop for us or when traffic was clear for us to go at an intersection we couldn’t get it started in time and had to wait again until traffic cleared and we could try again to get it started. Keep in mind it was not due to lack of experience - my husband and I have years of experience with dirt bikes, ATV’s, snowmobiles and yes even golf carts.

The instructions to find MaxCart were pathetic. No signs anywhere. Other golf cart tours had signs. We ended up asking another tour company where we could kind MaxCart. He pointed to 3 golf carts lined up on a corner with no sign. The person checking us in seemed irritated to have to do her job. The golf cart was rather run down and janky compared to all the others we saw on the island. We do recommend renting a golf cart while on Grand Turk though because it was a fabulous way to see the island! When we attempted to return our golf cart, there was no one around. Someone from another company pointed to the side of the road and told us to "leave it there". We had no choice but to do so, hoping it made it's way back. Again, I highly recommend renting a golf cart while on Grand Turk, but save the hassle and just get one at the cruise port terminal. These guys are everywhere and not difficult to find. Plenty of carts available and no need to reserve ahead of time.

The quality and condition of the golf carts was fair at best. Seem to not work too well. I will say the lady who met us was very very nice. Overall, though I’m not sure I would do it again because frankly, the island is not that interesting.

The golf cart was very old and noisy. The roads were poorly marked and the map was lacking important details. The cost was excessive.

These carts are not allowed inside the cruise parking lot. My wife had to walk a lot to get to the cart. People who can’t walk should rent from the cruise company.

Mechanically the golf cart was crap! Picking up and returning is very confusing, and NOT in the gated area of the port. You get what you pay for.

Finding our cart was easy but they gave us the oldest, crappiest looking cart available. The vehicle should’ve been retired long ago. Very hard starting and was dangerous when stopping and then trying to merge into traffic. We returned to the site to exchange after only an hour and thirty minutes but no one was there to help us. We gave up and went back to our ship. Not a good experience, there are plenty of providers available right at the cruise port so no need to reserve in advance. Viator needs to screen providers more thoroughly.

We had to walk quite a long way to get the cart... I thought I read they were meeting us at the port. There were golf carts there from same company, but they made us walk outside cruise port. There were also other golf carts companies that were closer. The map we were was hard to figure out as no highway or street name or numbers. We got lost and had to ask several locals how to get around. Didn't need it all day.. br back early. Also they told us to fill with gas before we brought back .. went to closet stay to golf cart returns.. and he ripped us off. He started at $12 and it stopped at $17. I told the guy that I noticed that and he got mad. We just paid it as we didn't want to cause a scene, but really doubt we used that much, plus the golf carts lady said it sho cost more than $12.

Horrible cart! No windshield, got sand blown in my eye. Couldn’t see, had to stop and do emergency eye wash! No seatbelt, no horn, no side mirrors, steering was horribly loose, brake had to go to the floor and hoped to stop. Worse excursion ever. It was a maxcart. When we returned and told them about how dangerous this was, the response was not my fault. I feel like I deserve a refund! I have done plenty of viator tours, and never have I had an experience like this! Do better!

Don't use MaxKart Rentals. Reserved 2 4 seater golf carts and got an 8 seater and 6 seater. The 8 seater was terrible to drive and make turns. It was like driving a semi truck. The gas tank on both carts did not work- very stressful not knowing if you had any gas. The directions to the company was terrible and they are down a dirt road about 2 blocks from the rest of the companies. Had to ask several other companies how to find MaxKart. I would not recommend using this company.

Terrible--don't recommend using this company-MaxKart. The directions to the golf cart were not accurate and when we finally got there, they gave us an 8 person and a 6 person golf cart, even though we asked for 4 seaters. The 8 seater was very hard to drive and make turns. The company refused to give us smaller carts--Terrible Service! Also the gas guage on bith carts did not work and they said just put $15 in it when you return. Very stressful not knowing how much gas you have in the cart. I would recommend using any of the other golf cart companies right outside the port gates. Therecare a bunch of them. DON'T USE MAXKART.

This place has the absolute worst golf carts! We were told it was directly off the port...nope. It was the FARTHEST place from port. The cart was filthy, had broken mirrors, it kept stalling out on us, very rough, was'nt good at all. Upon return (which was early), was told we had to put gas in it! This information is not on the site at all and was told it was included in price, so beware! DONT GO THERE!

Hello, if you were having issues with the cart you can simply return it if your having issues and we can issue a full refund. Also if you read our description on Viator it clearly says gas not included.

The experience was so much fun! The golf cart was clean and well-maintained. I truly believe this is one of the best things to do during your trip to Turks and Caicos. Keep in mind there is a $12 gas fee, which is totally reasonable if you plan on driving around the island. I highly recommend it!

We had a great experience short of the fact that there was no signage outside of the port so I walked almost 2 miles back and forth trying to find the company or a representative and I had 2 senior citizens with me standing in the hot sun.

Hard to find. Walk past a dozen cart providers and stand around looking confused. Then someone rolls up with your older cart. Not well done. You don't need a reservation here. We got off ship late and 2 ships were docked but there were still many carts available from several providers.

This vendor is not in the port, their carts have mechanical difficulties and they rented with less than 1/4 tank of gas and insist you fill it upon return.

The walk from the cruise port is longer than 5 minutes and not easy to find. Nor is the place marked or signed. We had to keep asking everyone where it was and then it’s a bit sketchy when you do find it.

Not easy to find. Jackson was awesome. But engine on cart struggled and had no mirrors. Created safety issue.

MaxKart was awesome to work with! Our golf cart had a flat tire at the lighthouse - we called the emergency number they provided. Someone came to fix the tire within 30 minutes, and we were also given a different cart for the rest of the day. This could have been a stressful experience, but the way MaxKart handled it, it was not at all. We had a wonderful time and would rent from them again!
