We had such an amazing time at the Turkish Mosaic Lamp Workshop! Ece was a fantastic workshop leader—she explained and demonstrated the entire mosaic-making process so clearly, making it easy and approachable even if you aren't naturally artistic.
Selecting the colorful glass pieces, designing the geometric patterns, and assembling our lamps was so creative, relaxing, and fun. Having such a unique, hand-crafted souvenir to bring home makes the experience even more special. I couldn't recommend this workshop (and Ece!) more!

I was met by the lovely Eren who welcomed us with orange tea and Turkish delight. He then showed us step by step how to make the lamps. I didn't think I would be able to do it but with his guidance I am so pleased with my unique lamp. The small lamp is included in the price and my husband did this lamp. I went for the medium lamp which was an extra 1000 turkish lira. There is also a large lamp that was 1200 turkish lira. You have a piece of paper with templates of tradition designs or you can do your own thing. Once you have done this its time to glue your pieces to the lamp. This was a lot easier than I thought. After that you made your mix of small beads and filled in all the gaps. Then Eren plugged in your lamp so it can be revealed in all its glory when it lit up. Both of our lamps came up great. It was a really fun morning and we now have a unique piece for our home. Thank you Eren for a lovely morning. I highly recommend this.

This experience was absolutely wonderful. We did it as a family. Just a great way to spend a few hours. Staff was kind and helpful. We’re all very happy with our lamps - much much better than buying one at a tourist shop!

Great activity. Eren was a great host definitely recommend it to any and everyone looking to do something traditional and creative

Our first mosaic lamp workshop and we absolutely loved it! Ece (AJ) was such a warm, bubbly instructor who made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. She patiently guided us through the templates, showed us how to apply the glue and helped us choose and mix our beads to create our designs.
We were the only couple booked for our chosen date and time so the session felt very relaxed and personal, with no sense of being rushed. The location was beautiful too, overlooking the fairy chimneys and offering stunning sunset views.
The free-flow Turkish tea and delicious Turkish delights were a lovely bonus! They also provided bubble wrap for our lamps, making it easy to bring them home safely.
Our Cappadocia trip was made even more memorable not only by the hot air balloon ride but by this wonderful experience as well. Thank you, Ece 💖

I went to the mosaic lamp workshop with my wife and it was a unique experience. Eren and Gigi were really helpful and provided clear instructions every step of the way and now we have a souvenir to take back home

AJ/ece the host was awesome, she was helpful and friendly, she guided those who were making the lamps allowing us to complete freely on our own, she gave ideas etc when needed. I would recommend the experience and her as a guide.

Today I joined a Turkish lamp workshop and absolutely loved it! ✨
The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and there was no time pressure at all — we could enjoy the whole creative process at our own pace.
A very special thank you to Ece 💖
She was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. She explained everything clearly, helped at every step, and made the experience easy and enjoyable even for beginners. She was so patient and supportive throughout the whole workshop.
This was much more than just a class — it became one of my favorite memories from Cappadocia 🩵

This was very fun and Ece was so helpful in getting the patterns figured out. I've always wanted to do a mosaic and so glad I was able to do it in Türkiye. Such a fun experience.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience making a mosaic lamp, and I can’t recommend it enough! From start to finish, the entire workshop was relaxing, creative, and so much fun. Watching all the tiny pieces of glass come together into a beautiful design was incredibly satisfying.
Our instructor, Eren, was truly amazing. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole process feel easy — even for beginners. He took the time to guide everyone individually, offered helpful tips, and created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that energy makes the experience even more special.
Not only did I leave with a stunning handmade lamp that I’m so proud of, but I also left with great memories. If you’re considering this workshop — do it! It’s the perfect mix of art, culture, and hands-on creativity. I would absolutely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful experience.

We decided to take this lamp making class because our hot air balloon was canceled due to bad weather. We arrived 15 minutes early but there was no one to greet us at the hotel lobby so we had to find the workshop location ourselves. To our surprise the class was held in a restaurant and bar area where customers kept coming in to dine. It didn't feel like a private or organized workshop space at all as I saw in the pictures.
Our class was somewhat chaotic because our class tutor, Zehra was running a turkish coffee class next to us at the same time. We had to wait for the next step because the instructor was too busy. She was not attentive.
Our class was somewhat chaotic because our instructor Zehra was running a Turkish coffee class right next to us at the same time. We constantly had to wait for the next step because she was far too busy multitasking with others. She was not attentive at all and it felt like she was just trying to get through the session as quickly as possible.
They only displayed large lamps at first but then told us that making a large lamp costs an extra 800 TRY and they only accept cash. We just sticked to the small one because we had to travel another cities as well. During the class, Zehra said we can take our time but she wanted to connect everyone's lamps to the power at once so we felt rushed. She was also eager to clear the table for the next group which made me hurry even more because I didn't want to take up other people's time. On top of that no tea Turkish delight or water was provided at all. The packaging was just a paper bag with a bit of bubble wrap. It was a very distracting and disappointing environment for a creative workshop.

Hello, thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback.
First of all, we sincerely apologize for the experience you had. The issues you mentioned unfortunately occurred during a transition and relocation period for our workshop space. During this moving process, some operational arrangements were not yet fully settled, and we understand that this affected your overall experience.
We would like to kindly inform you that all of our workshops are now held in fully organized and dedicated workshop areas, with improved welcoming procedures, instructor attention, service flow, and overall organization. The problems you experienced are no longer present.
Guest experience is always our top priority, and your feedback has helped us further improve our operations. We truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide you with the high-quality experience we aim to deliver.
Warm regards,

Nice experience! Relaxing and fun. There were many pattern options and examples. Easy something to do in cappadocia.

I had a wonderful experience here. The class was very hands-on and creative as we were able to choose our own designs, sketch them out on paper, and then bring them to life on the lamp by gluing the pieces and filling them in with colorful beads. It was really enjoyable to see the lamp come together step by step.
The instructor was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the entire class. She took her time with everyone and made sure we felt comfortable, which made the experience even better. The class never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. We were able to relax, chat with other tourists, and truly enjoy the process.
Overall, it was a fun, calming, and memorable experience. I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone visiting Cappadocia and looking for a creative and enjoyable activity.

Zehra, our instructor, was great! She explained everything very well and we had all the freedom to do whatever we wanted. We are so happy with how it turned out! Her tips and tricks were very helpful.
DOREANNE_C, Oct 2025
Very relaxing to do your own lamp, creating a pattern and learning how to put it on the lamp. Fun and good to wind down
Dts_S, Oct 2025
Once I arrived, I was welcomes, seated and explained how it works.
After that we were completely free to make our own design. Unfortunately, the instructor also gave another coffee making workshop and wasn't focused on us. Which was not always necessary, but would have been appreciated.

Ahmet was wonderful! Great experience to learn technique but also get creative. So many colors and opportunities to upgrade
Dhelia_W, Jul 2025
What a great experience! Instruction was easy, deciding on a pattern and colors was difficult (they were all so beautiful!). The finished product was amazing. If my husband and I can do it, anyone can! What a great souvenir from Turkey.
patrick_l, Jul 2025
We stopped in to make some mosaic lamps! It was an awesome experience learning about the history of glass arts and making lamps of our own. Ahmet was a wonderful host and had some treats for us while making the lamps!
HanWah_C, Jun 2025
Went with my wife and we both love the experience. Our instructor Zahkra was very helpful. The final products look really good.

We picked this experience as we enjoy doing crafty things as a family and it was my daughter’s birthday so we wanted to do something we knew she would enjoy. The store was very clean and organised, ready for us to begin the mosaic lantern making. Our master was Ahmet, who was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of interesting facts along the way, he offered us different types of teas and water, as well as Turkish delight, during the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed designing and making our lamps and can’t wait to see them in our house.
I would definitely recommend this experience if you have some time when in Goreme.

Amazing workshop. Really worth the money. Amet was our guide and he was just brilliant.
Friendly, provided beautiful Turkish apple tea and Turkish delight. Had a lot of patience and was just a lovely man.
Me and my partner are return tomorrow to do his other work shops as he does lots!

We loved how our lamp turned out! There were many colors and shapes available, and the whole process was very fun and creative to learn and experience :) 2 hours felt a bit short to make the lamp though - we kind of wish we had more time to explore different patterns, especially with the beads. Our instructor was very nice and taught us well. However, we felt we didn’t get enough attention since she was running another class at the same time, so we had to wait a bit between each step.
