A very full, satisfying day of Outlander sites with Nicky

This was a fantastic day! Two of the planned sites were not available for viewing due to filming, but the replacements were every bit as interesting, even more. The visit to Linlithgow Palace (a replacement in the lineup) was fascinating, and although devoid of furniture (and a ceiling), the information provided in each room was excellent and gave a vivid example of what life would have been like, I especially enjoyed visiting the interior of Culross Palace with its wealth of furnishings, textiles and needlework from the period and the detail of which Outlander scenes were shot there and in the village (a lot!) and of course, we all oohed and shed when Lallybroch came into view!! No number of times seeing it on a screen could match the richness of being there, and the clever “scan me” spots with videos and other info added immensely to the experience. Our guide, Nicky, was funny, warm and very caring throughout the day. She was of great assistance to me with some challenging stairs, and always was interested in our reactions to what we had just seen or heard. She knew a great deal about Outlander filming, Scottish history, geography, etc. and filled the driving time in between steps with information, personal stories or beautiful Scottish music. We never felt rushed, and were very pleased with the assortment of sites and scenery that we had enjoyed. Highly recommended. Thank you, Nicky, for a wonderful day!

Fantastic day! I loved the whole itinerary and the pace was just right. Our tour guide, Nicky, drove very safely in the rain and provided amazing stories during the trip. She toured us around to show some of the filming locations which I wouldn't have recognized if she hadn't pointed it out. She also takes great photos! 10/10 would recommend!

If You Loved the Outlander, You'll Love This Tour!

Great tour guide by Liz. The weather helped in the beginning of the day but then it rained when we went to Jamie's family house. The other person on tour with me didn't care either and we enjoyed a few pics in the rain. If you loved the Outlander, you'll love this tour...and the bonus is that you get a history of Scotland, beautiful views of the outlying areas of Glasgow, and the relevance to the Outlander series. Highly recommend!
