I can't say enough good things about the tour and about our guide. He was funny and really seems to enjoy sharing his knowledge. Plus really good care of the group. The stops were exactly what I was wanting from the tour.
You will see a lot of Central Scotland in one tour experience. Our tour guide and driver was a lot of fun. He was experienced on the Outlander tour.
Our guide was amazing! Graeme provided entertaining Scotland history while we toured film sites for Outlander.
For fans of outlander this is a great tour, with admission to several castles, which were amazing. A couple of stops in villages used in the series and lunch in the Stag pug which was exceptional. Our driver /guide James was amazing.
Great stops. In my opinion, the best was saved for last when we went to Lollybroch. It was exactly as it looked in the outlander series.
Perfect day trip. Our guide, Stephen, really nice and informative. Excursion was paced perfectly. I would take this excursion again.
James M (Jamie) lol. Was awesome. Funny, knowledgeable, accommodating. The outlander tour was amazing. And I met some life long friends during the tour too. Already recommended it to others. Thank you!
Excellent outlander tour. My wife really enjoyed it. Peter was great as a guide. A little hard for an American to understand! However I am in Scotland, so my problem!
A definite must-do for Outlander fans. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and helpful.
This was a great tour for any Outlander fan. Our guide, Young Steven, was awesome and informative. Seeing the filming locations was really fun. Unfortunately, Midhope Castle (Lallybroch) is a very missed opportunity. The owners could make it really amazing, but choose not to. It's still cool to see.
Young Steven took great care of us as we traveled the beautiful country side taking us to all the local Outlander stops. We had plenty of time to explore and enjoy them. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the stops and shared as we drove. The air is so fresh I wish we could bottle it up and bring home. As an added bonus there were Highland Coos to pet at Midhope Castle (Lollybroch)! So cute! Highly recommend this tour with Young Steven!
Peter was fantastic in sharing everything Outlander. If you are into the series, you do not want to miss this!
My wife and I had a wonderful day tour with Martin to some of the Outlander sites near to Glasgow. Day went by very quickly and even learned a little bit of Gaelic. Highly recommended and thank you very much.
Very fun and informative. History of the buildings is amazing. Bring a raincoat, not an umbrella. Light rain is the norm in Scotland and the wind will destroy your umbrella.
What a great teaching lesson about Scotland and its history. Our tour guy Graham was really great, informative, patient and professional. Our day was monumental. A great way to start our vacation
Tour guide Graham was very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave a lot of background information and seemed to love his job.
Good tour, the guide kept everything entertaining on the long rides between destinations. As a fan I'm glad we took this tour.
Our guide Cameron, had a great sense of humour, explained the history of what we were going to see, and also about Glasgow as well. A definite must do, as you seriously won’t be disappointed. Great scenery everywhere. Thank-you for an amazing day.
This was a fantastic tour! Seeing all the sights in the Outlander show just helped make it real! I loved it!
Fantastic. Excellent tour, safe and comfortable driving. The best part was James, the tour guide. A wonderful man with a great sense of humor, and he knows so much about the sites we visit (and drive by). His corny jokes had my kids constantly grinning.
James was knowledgeable, fun, and accommodating for the group.
He answered all our questions and gave us a lot of insightful information.
Highly recommend for Outlander fans and anyone interested in the rich history of the area.
Great tour of some interesting historical landmarks in the area north of Glasgow & Edinburgh. It was themed around the Outlander tv programne, but you didn't need to be a fan to appreciate the history.
One castle we visited was used for the filming of Monty Python & the Holy Grail and 'horses' were available to purchase from their gift shop!
The tour was hosted by Grant - a lovely local guy - with lots of interesting historical facts & fascinating snippets to bring the journey to life.
A fab day out!
The tour is approachable for Outlander and non-Outlander fans alike. The tour guide made the information relevant for all participants, and made it fun while sharing information on the sites. For this tour, there was a change in the itinerary; yet, the company communicated the information early and found a lovely substitute.
Tour was informative and the guide played around w his riders, cracking jokes and whatnot. Its was a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
We had the most enjoyable day. Our tour guide was wee James who was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He made the tour very interesting.
Fun day for Outlander fans! Many locations revealed and connected to the series. Katlyn, our guide/driver, was amazing, sharing lots of Scottish fun facts. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
We throughly enjoyed the Outlander tour with our guide Old Cameron. It is far more than Outlander, we learned so much about Scotland and Scottish history. It was fun to. Is it many of the sights from the tv series and we received much advice about our safety and comfort too. Highly recommend.
Our guide Peter was so fun! He was knowledgeable about so many things! He was very caring and helped guide us through each attraction
This tour was great. Our tour guide/driver was a young lady named Caitlin and her companion Ghost. She was nothing less of exceptional. Caitlin was knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating. Moved us around from location to location, with timely snippet’s of knowledge, folklore and entertaining music. Maintained a great schedule which provided ample time to explore locations enjoy the atmosphere and take in the scenic locations. She was fantastic and if you can request a specific tour guide, she is the one.
The stops are a bit too quick. Ex: Culross place takes 45 min to tour, but u only have 30 min at the stop. I know there are alot of great stops...and Viator is only the travel agent. Rabbie is the actual tour company. Our driver, Steven, was great...he tried to give as much time as possible. All and all, very nice experience.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Hi Linda,
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I'm thrilled that you had a nice experience overall and that you enjoyed your time with your driver guide Steven. But I'm sorry that the tour felt a little rushed in places.
As you noted we try our absolute best to squeeze in as much time as possible at each location and while we would typically expect you to stop a little longer at Culross, 30 minutes is the absolute minimum. It's possible that you could have been a little delayed earlier in the day whether from traffic or leaving late from earlier destinations, so I apologise that left you with a slightly shorter visit to Culross.
Despite this I do still hope you were able to immerse yourself in the beautiful and vibrant cobbled streets in Culross and that you enjoyed walking in the footsteps of Claire and Jamie throughout the day.
Thanks,
Jo
