We had a wonderful experience with our guide Bruce. He was knowledgable, helpful and informative. We walked around Glasgow and learned about the architecture, the sights, history and street art by artist Smug. His art was fabulous to view and experience from Close and afar. I highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing 3 hour tour of Glasgow with Graeme who was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Scotland and the city. He showed us all of the key highlights such as the Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow University, and even must-see murals and other hidden gems. We can’t recommend him enough.

    Walking city tour

    Alan_S, Aug 2026
Good, not great. 3 hours is a long time. Lots of walking. Inner city is noisy and hard to hear the guide.

Great afternoon diving deep into central Glasgow

    John_S, Aug 2026
Christie gave us a great and varied tour of Glasgow. It was a great afternoon with someone who seems like he himself is embedded in Glasgow. There were surely parts of this tour that you don’t get on most tours. It was great.

    Fantastic Glasgow

    Bjacob01, Aug 2026
Absolutely fantastic. Our guide, Bruce, was fabulous. Great personal insights and stories. He know so Much about the wall murals.

Authentic & Local Perspective in Glasgow

    George_M, Aug 2026
A private two person tour with Christy who provided good local stories and insightful historical & current information. As Christy was born & raised in Glasgow, he gave us behind-the-scenes info and access to places most folks don’t get a chance to see - plus he was not doing a ‘canned speech’, he was flexible with our routing and our walking speed and answered questions thoughtfully. He is the ‘real deal’ in Glasgow!

Good way to see the city

    Steve_K, Jul 2026
Very nice your seeing the sights of Glasgow. The Glasgow cathedral and necropolis were spectacular!!

A great way to learn about the city!

    Bob_S, Jul 2026
Our tour guide, Bruce, loves his city, loves talking to people, and loves sharing information about his city. He was interesting, informative, and went out of his way to keep things at a comfortable pace for us. He has a great deal of knowledge that only a Glaswegian would possess, and imparts it in extremely entertaining ways. His recommendation of a local pub for us to visit prior to getting on our train was spot on. We weren’t there a minute before engaging in friendly conversation with some local patrons. We loved Glasgow and can’t think of a better introduction than this tour. Thanks Bruce!!

    Glasgow in a few hours

    Horacio_D, Jun 2026
This is an introductory walking tour to the vibrant city of Glasgow. Bruce, our tour guide, was very informational and knowledgeable about the city and showed us every nook and cranny withing a walkable distance to Queens Street Station, a very central location. We were able to get a good taste of the city and left us with the desire to come back and spend more time!

    Premachandran_K, May 2026
Very good experience to know the important landmarks and the history of Glasgow. Sophie, our guide was very courteous and knowledgeable and was caring.

Wished we had a true Scottish guide

    josee_p, May 2026
We walked for 3 hours and very little was explained to us on what we were seeing. Poor knowledge from our guide. His French accent was too strong for any of us to understand him. Very disappointed on the quality of this tour.

    Excellent tour with a lot...

    Robert_W, May 2026
Excellent tour with a lot of good historical info and local color. Nice selection of sites in the city centre.

    No show tour guide!

    Gary_D, May 2026
We had an amazing tour....but not with Michael, who was the tourguide who was assigned by viatour to show us Glasgow. You see, Michael the assigned tour guide didnt show up for our tour. He confirmed with us via whats app the day before, and advised specifically where we should meet (all good). But then, shortly after that exchange, he tried to change the time to 3.5 hrs later because he had just received (i kid you not) an "emergency tour request". I didnt see his request to change the time until later the evening before the tour, and suggested combining the tours. His response was "sadly they booked a private tour". He didn't actually confirm that he was canceling, so we texted him that we still planned to meet as scheduled. He never showed up, never responded to our "where are you?" pleas. Nothing. Incredibly unprofessional. We met another tour guide at the site from another organization and she took us with her group on a great tour! Viatour responded to us immediately when we contacted them to tell them we were abandoned, and immediately researched, attempted to set up another tour (timing would not work unfortunately) and then refunded our prepayment. We have had several good experiences with Viatours throughout the world. For this particular tour they apparently were working with a third party agency. I will watch and try to avoid tours where they are using these intermediary companies on future trips. This was truly disappointing. Watch out for Michael in Glasgow.

    Day Trip

City Experience w/off the beaten paths sites with nuggets of history. Bruce was delightful, funny & inherently interested in Glasgows community. It was a great way to cover the city in a day and learn the city’s history.

    Great Tour

    Andrea_G, May 2026
Great tour! Bruce was very knowledgeable and showed us a great time. We highly recommend this walking tour. Even followed up to a question I had about the clocks.

Very interesting and informative The guide was knowledgeable about life in Glasgow for locals and very accommodating

    Interesting and tailored

    Courtney_L, Oct 2025
Very informative, and interesting. Guide tailored the tour with what our interests were. Only wished the stories told were done more as we continued to walk vs stand. Historial stories took a good amount of time and we may have been able to see more. Overall a very good tour.

    Unexpected and enlightening.

    CYNTHIA_Z, Oct 2025
Keith was info contact with us several week before our tour with him making sure we knew exactly where to meet him. He dedicated way more than 3 hours to us. He is a knowledgeable and pure blooded Glasgownian( hope I wrote that correctly). He shared the history, the architecture, the fortunate and unfortunate events that shaped Glasgow to what it is today. He spoke not only of the past but of the actual life in Glasgow. Very interesting and enlightening, we are so grateful to him for the xtra time he gave us and that his Spanish is impeccable making it thoroughly enjoyable.

    Fabulous guide; fabulous tour

    Suzanne_S, Sep 2025
This was a fabulous tour! I think a lot of this tour depends on your guide. Ours was a PhD student in architecture so we got a lot of great insight into the buildings and structures in Glasgow. Noor was absolutely delightful and gave us a fabulous tour. We've been recommending it to everyone!

An Amazing Tour and History Lesson of Glasgow

    Peter_B, Sep 2025
Our tour guide was Kieth M.. This gentlemen gave us such a deep insight into Glasgows history. He was literally a walking encyclopedia of history - simply a pleasure to listen to. My wife & myself thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour - and certainly with Kieth M if he is available.
