      Senegal Fathala

      Chris_D, Jan 2025
We saw all the animals available. Zebra, Rhino, Giraffe, Water buffalo and water hogs. Pablo the guide got us through customs in speedy time andi was back in the hotel by 2pm.

Good that you were able to see a variety of animals. Yes Pablo is very experienced and able to negotiate the border very well. Thank you for taking the time to give a review.

Pablo rates 5 stars but the tour rates 4 overall

Pablo gets 5 stars. However, there is a lot of travel involved before you visit the park to see the animals and you spend time waiting in queues to leave Gambia, enter Senegal, leave Senegal and enter Gambia again. That said, the animals are amazing, and the guides really give you a great experience.

      Excellent Day!

An excellent day with Pablo, our guide. He took care of everything from ferry tickets to the details of crossing the boarder into Senegal. Highly recommend!

An experience you'll not forget... Great tour

A long trip but worth the effort and you get to see a small part of Senegal. The park is ok but you can spot some lovely animals and birds during the drive. The trip across the River is amazing, as I had to be carried to the small boats.. something you don't do everyday! Try the Lion Walk when you get there... great to get close to these beautiful beasts.

      An interesting experience

All very slow and long waits, but it's an interesting experience and worth the trip more than the park, but by the country's price standard it's a bit of an economic scam

Hi thank you for this review and 4 stars. We are glad you found the trip interesting. Africa can be a bit slow at times. You know on this trip 3 people need to be paid. A jeep and petrol needs to be paid for. The Dalasi rate to the Senegalese CFA is not great. The park and guide need to be paid in CFA. Viator take 25%. There is not a lot of profit when 1 person is taken on this trip. Thanks again for your custom best regards. Gambianexcursions.com.
