We recently went on a wine tasting tour with Wine Route Baja Tours as our offshore excursion during a cruise, and we were fortunate to have Luigi as our guide. From start to finish, Luigi was fantastic.
He arranged a private tasting for us with Lupe, the owner of Dubacano Winery. Lupe was incredible—so knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about her wines. She even led us in a fun aroma game where we practiced identifying scents, which made the experience even more engaging and memorable.
Luigi was also very mindful of our schedule, making sure we enjoyed our time without worrying about missing our ship. It was just my wife and I, and Luigi gave the tour such a personal touch that it felt like it was designed just for us.
We can’t recommend Luigi enough—if you’re looking for a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and personable guide who goes above and beyond, he’s the one to ask for!

Our wine guide was Eugenia!!!! She was so much fun and the perfect wine guide. FYI we were coming from a cruise docked in Ensenada. She catered the trip perfect with our time constraints. I’ve done plenty of wine tours on 4 different continents. This tour was just as fun, just as pretty, amazing wine and food. Highly recommend this whether this is your cruise port or in the area on land.

We started early so were able to make 4 stops and they were all great. From cheese and dip sampling to each of the wineries, they all had their own special flare. The scenery was best at the first winery and I would say the best wine was there too. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and he was a joy to hang out with.

Eugenia was a wonderful tour guide! Her directions on where to find her off the cruise ship was easy! She took very good care of us making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. She took us to the most amazing wineries that we would have not known about without her. Her expertise on the city, wines and the culture made this experience truly unique and memorable.

They were timely. They were knowledgeable and they were friendly. Not only did we have a fun time they were also very knowledgeable about the area and wines. Eugenia was amazing! She clearly communicated prior to our trip, selected a meeting spot, and sent a photo of herself to make the meetup easy. Taking the personal wine tour was an absolute delight! Eugenia was not only knowledgeable about the wines but also passionate about the Gaudalupe Valley, making the experience incredibly enjoyable. Each stop we visited offered unique flavors and stunning views. Eugenia made it a 5 star journey we won't forget. Can't wait to come back!

This is a great option whether it's your first time in the Valle, or you've been a few times like we have. We were able to customize our route to pick out some places we've never been (but their options are great if you've never done the Valle before). They helped us secure winery reservations at each location, build out a schedule and our guide Adrian was really helpful in identifying different places to try our next time around. I think I left with about 15 new places to try! We were very happy with our experience and we'll definitely use them again the next time we hit the Valle.

Our guide, Adrian, picked us up at the hotel at 10 am and we returned at 5:30 pm. At first, we were doubtful about a 7'5/hour wine tasting tour. After all, how much tasting can one do in a day? We went to two different wineries (Santo Tomas and Cruz) and took our time savoring wine and even meeting fun people who were on other winery tours. We then went to lunch at "Salvage," which was in a stunning setting in the valle. We had a seafood dish that came in a large pot with an incredible sauce, the order was for 4 people and we convinced Adrian to join us. The starter was cornbread in a luscious mole sauce. After lunch we proceeded to our final wine tasting at Casta. The winemaker there, Claudia, made a Grenache that is heavenly. She is donating the proceeds from the Grenache to breast cancer research so we bought this and another delicious blend. The tour says 4 wineries, but we were to full and content to do the fourth. This is an absolutely fantastic tour. Do it!

Having a driver was a positive but we thought we would have a shuttle bus, not a small private car. $76 for driver is too much money, no tastings were included and one of the wineries Las Misiones was not upscale experience.

If you would prefer to be in a bus full of people with all included, you should choose another kind of tour. I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide, Sam, was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She gave not only great information about the wineries and the area, but also made recommendations for places to eat near our boat. The wineries we visited had not only quality wine, but also such welcoming hosts for each tasting. We enjoyed the entire day including the delicious meal at the end. Thank you again to Sam!

We had a wonderful time in the Valle de Guadalupe. The Wine Route tour was very well organized and we were able to visit 8 wineries over two days. Eugenia and Sam (our guides) were so knowledgeable about the wine and wineries in the area. They even organized lunches and dinners for us and helped us find transportation in the evenings. I would highly recommend this tour.
