Poor, cannot recommend

I seem to disagree with many reviews about this experience but I cannot rate it any higher. We had hoped to see some culture and learn a little about the desert so perhaps I just booked the wrong tour. We started with a 45 minute drive during which the guide did not say a word. We have ridden camels many times and due to concerns about animal welfare we now prefer to avoid this and the various options to have photos taken with birds and animals. After the drive we stopped for refreshments and the option to ride quad bikes which no-one wanted. Camel rides were also on offer and strongly recommended, something we had expected only at the camp and therefore avoidable. So we waited 35 minutes as no-one wanted anything on offer. We then set off across the desert in a convoy of at least 30 Land Cruisers, all sand bashing and weaving al over the dunes, it was more like rush hour than any desert experience. Sand bashing is little more than a bumpy ride and we have since read that it damages the ecology of the desert and is to be avoided. The trash left by previous tours was dreadful, there were empty water bottles, crisp packets etc all along the route. Our driver suggested that we might like to see a lizard, he found some tracks and rather than waiting to see if it might appear (probably doubtful with 30 plus Land Cruisers around) he decided to try and dig it out! Then a stop for sand boarding and photos and on to the camp. This was pretty jaded, an enclosure set up purely for these events with a bar, various sellers touring round, an area for henna painting and another for having pictures taken in Arab dress (now apparently back on offer post covid). It all felt incredibly fake and touristy. Belly dancing was cancelled due to Ramadan, the other two entertainers were a fire eater and a spinning dancer. They were quite good but were probably only on stage for a total of 20 minutes, we were there over 2 1/2 hours. The food was fine with plenty of salad and vegetarian options but items like pasta in sauce did not seem particularly 'authentic' but I guess the buffet was described as 'international'. The welcome cup of tea did not happen as the greeter had disappeared for a cigarette. In the end we spent a lot of time in the car, had a bumpy ride across the desert, wasted a lot of time sitting around and ate some average food watching brief entertainment. The environmental impact is very concerning. Personally I could never recommend this.

Good, glad I did it, but I wouldn't do it again

The dune bashing was good, though I expected a little more off road experience and not to be in a convoy. The food at the camp was good and so was the entertainment. It was a long day though from pick up at 14.00 till being dropped off at 22.00. Our driver Faisal was excellent though.

Our guide Shahid made the whole experience very enjoyable by ensuring we were very comfortable from the outset and throughout the trip. The experience exceeded our expectations massively, from the enthusiasm of our guide to the safari & BBQ dinner. The safari includes dune bashing in the beautiful red dune desert which I would absolutely recommend as the desert has no visual obstacles and perfect for capturing that instagramable photo. Just before the dune bashing, there is an opportunity to do quad bikes at an extra charge for the thrill-seekers of you. Once the dune bashing is finished (lasts 30-40mins but dependant on personal preference) you can do sandboarding down the dunes. This is so much fun no matter what age you are! again the guide ensures you are comfortable and happy and does not push you to do any of the activities if you don't want to. After you've captured the moment and got them hilarious jumping pics the guide helps you take, you are then brought to the camp to do a short camel ride and then enter the campsite for the BBQ. This is where the experience really goes over and above! You feel fully immersed in the Bedouin lifestyle with modern touches. you are seated at your table and are informed when each course of your meal is ready. It begins with a lovely mixed starter platter consisting of samosas etc. then the first show begins, Belly dancers! very professional and entertaining. Then when your main course is ready you go up for self-service. You can really fill up your plate and there are veggie or meat options. then the next show starts which is an incredible fire dancer! then the third show was a lunar spinning dancer which was very traditional and entertaining. Throughout the trip, you are offered bottled water and a variety of teas/coffees and shisha at the campsite. You can purchase alcohol at the campsite if needed as well. Then you are driven back to your apartment/hotel with the total trip lasting about 6 hours.

Noor j'ai lu que c'était le Best du safari et bien je confirme au top,il est très attentif et serviable très bon conducteur sur les dunes. Arrêt quad de 30min pour ceux qui le veulent, puis 30minutes dans les dunes,stop photos,et on reprend la route pour aller au camp. Là déception par rapport au dromadaire car le tour dure 30s ils sont 3 attachés les uns derrière les autres et vous montez dessus honnêtement juste pour la photo car pour moi ce n'est pas un tour... Seul bémol de cet après-midi. Départ 14h30 retour 21h30. Merci ☺

Noor fut notre guide, prise en charge à l hotel à 14h45, retour 21h15. Il nous explique le déroulé du safari en détail avec les prix pour les quads, buggy... Nous offre des bouteilles d eau fraîches à l arrivee des activités (après 40mn de trajet au depart de dubai mall). Pause quad pour les enfants, puis safari dans les dunes 30mn, fortes secousses, virages impressionnants, vue magnifique, Noor a très bien conduit, nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce moment. Arrêt assez rapide pour les photos avec le sunset (20mn). Direction le camp pour le diner avec plus de 3 spectacles assez distrayants. Buffet correct pour le rapport qualité prix ' sodas à volonté. Café. Eau. Belle expérience à faire au moins une fois sur Dubai
