The tour started off great! The guides arrived early and waited for the entire party to arrive. Unfortunately, we had to ride in two vehicles because they did not have transport large enough for the group of 11.
The guide in my vehicle was a younger, less experienced gentleman. He was kind but quiet. We were asking him questions about all the things we saw around us and he only had one word or very minimal answers. We called over to the other vehicle and asked if he would mind being on speaker phone so that both vehicles could hear same info. He agreed and we proceeded that way for a while. There was definitely a slight language barrier through the phone but we tried our best to be great listeners.
At the next stop the older guide pulled the younger guide to the side and talked to him about speaking up more and being more active with the group. The older gentleman then switched vehicles and was the guide for my car for the remainder of the trip. I felt bad for the other half of my party.
The older gentleman was very pleasant and full of knowledge about Dubai. He was funny and insightful as well. He made the trip worth it. We drove around for a few hours saw a lot that the city had to offer at night.
Our final stop was the marina and it was a completely different vibe from what we had seen two days prior on a yacht tour. The marina was absolutely beautiful and the lighting made it seem otherworldly.
The place was very busy with people on a Tuesday night. There were many shops and restaurants open at midnight. Photo spots were plenty and offered many different scenes or backdrops.
I really enjoyed my tour but it did not include the Burj Khalifa at night as the itinerary said it would. We all really wanted to go to the top at night and thought we would be able to do it on that tour.
All in all it was a wonderful experience and my guide was fantastic! I highly recommend it.
