This tour was amazing! Shohaib, our driver, was very knowledgeable about the area - pointing out various landmarks or interesting sights along the way. We had 2 kids with us who were a little nervous and Shohaib made sure they were comfortable all throughout the day. Highly recommend!

Great morning in the desert

Had a 26 hour lay over in Dubai so thought I would book a morning desert safari and it didn't disappoint! Was picked up by Nasir (who communicated before hand) at 7am sharp in an air conditioned vehicle and after a couple of other pick ups we were on our way to the Lahbab desert. Once we arrived at the safari camp we where straight into the desert dune bashing... really good fun and Nasir handled the vehicle with ease. A few stops to take photos and a little go on sand boarding down the done. Be aware however that the winds can be pretty heafty at the top and the sand easily gets into your eyes (still trying to get it out over 24 hours later!). After the dune bashing was finished we headed back to the camp and had a go on a camel ride and quad biking... all in a mornings work. After we had finished, we drove back to Dubai and got dropped off where we wanted to be (for me it was the Burja Khalifa). Was a really fun morning and glad I did it. I would strongly recommend bringing a desert scarf (Shamagh) and something to protect your eyes (sun glasses didn't really help!).
