Dune bashing is not permitted for pregnant women, people with heart conditions and infants (under 3 years old)

Casual, loose-fitting clothing is recommended in the summer, along with a jacket in the winter
It is not recommended that you eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid sickness during the dune bashing
Sports shoes are recommended for sandboarding
For Doha Cruise Terminal pickup, meet at the Terminal 2 taxi stand. Keep your mobile on; your guide will contact you before pickup.
Camel Ride: Children below 12 years of age cannot ride alone and must be accompanied by an adult.
Quad Bike: Children below 16 years cannot ride on their own and must be accompanied.

Recommended Age for Self-Driving Activities: Sandboarding: 12-50 years, Quad Biking: 16–50 years. Great novel experience with camel ride and the desert dune safari. Made specially fun with Anwar as our driver and guide. He drove the 4x4 very skillfully and assured us a thrilling and safe ride. He was our photographer, always offering to take pictures. He even poses us for more memorable and scenic photos. A must todo in Doha.

I wanted to see and experience more of Qatar than simply Doha city and this was a great intro! Naufal our tour guide was timely, respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful. I enjoyed the drive to Mesaeeid and loved the camel ride (albeit super short). The dune bashing was really fun! And sand boarding is a must-try. Even though the daily temps were starting to be 40* and above, this was a wonderful experience!

Did not meet my expectations

I was not happy with the camel ride portion of this tour. We literally were placed on a couple, walked across the parking lot, and then came back. That’s it. Some of us travelled across the world to experience something we don’t get to do back home and this was super disappointing.

Very bad experience. We didn’t get what we paid for. The tour started very late on the day, knowing that the sunset would be at 16:42. No planning at all, very crowded and that caused that we started our 4x4 ride very late and we couldn’t watch the sunset where the original plan was (inland sea). Because of the very crowded place, we couldn’t ride the camel with sunlight and the people there told us that we could ride it in the dark, which to us doesn’t make sense.

Smooth pickup. The dune bashing was amazing even if a little frightening at first. Our driver was very skilled and friendly, it was a pleasure to be driven by Hmoud. The camel ride is very short, for the price paid I wish we could have done at least a 10 minutes ride. Time dedicated for sandboarding is also a bit short. Overall, I really enjoyed this safari.

We joined 3 others for an evening tour which included a camel ride, dune bashing, sand boarding and a visit to the inland sea. We had a great time and our guide Ash was fantastic. Firstly, he handled the 4x4 superbly- the dune bashing was more volatile than I’d anticipated but great fun. Secondly, Ash was happy to answer any questions we had and lastly, he took some amazing photos of us in the desert that we will cherish forever. The tour itself was varied and fun - plenty to keep us occupied.

We were a party of 14, with ages ranging from 70 to15, and everyone of us had an absolutely wonderful time. We had 3 drivers and all were great. I don’t know everyone’s name, but our driver was Ash and he was entertaining and informative and the perfect tour guide! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!! A highlight of our trip, for sure!
