We had a great Burgundy tour and wine tasting experience, despite the rainy weather. Marie, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable about the local wineries and wine, making the tour educational and enjoyable. We really appreciated the selections of wine, especially the pinot noir from Leclerc. We had a reasonable time in Beaune to have lunch and appreciate the museum at the Hospice de Beaune- L'Hotel Dieu. Highly recommended.

The group was small and the guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Our guide was local and answered all the group's questions. The smaller group size means you don't have to wait for 30 people to pile on a bus. The van was comfortable, despite it being unreasonably warm.

Highly recommend this tour! We enjoyed learning about the wines, process, and villages. The wines in the afternoon were curated for preferences too which was nice. Driving through the vineyards and countryside was just beautiful. Had couple of hours to explore charming Beaune and grab lunch. Borg the tour guide was very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Such a great time!

Stephane eared the 5 stars

Raymond_F, Jul 2026
Our guide, Stephanie was knowledgeable and entertaining. He made a trip variation decision to visit a different winery that proved to be the highlight of the trip. Very enjoyable and worthwhile excursion.

This is a great historical trip into the Burgundy wine country. Beautiful drive through all the small towns. The first wine tasting was at a small family owned vineyard and we loved it. Beaune is adorable, but we wished there had been a tasting there as well. The second tasting was at a larger company. Marie, our guide, was amazing. I think it would be nicer to only stop at small vineyards.

Ghosted by Host

James_H, Jul 2026
Host failed to show up, and the host failed to communicate about why through the app. Viator customer service helped me and they couldn’t communicate with the host either. Eventually Viator started a refund process. I only had one day available in my trip for the tour so it was pretty disappointing. I commend Viator for their customer service. The lack of communication by the host felt disrespectful and I wouldn’t recommend the service as a result.

Obtaining financial advantage by deception

David_W, Jun 2026
I booked and paid €266.68 for this tour. The tour operator cancelled the tour on the morning (22 May). With help from Dijon tourist office, the tour operator offered me a half day tour for €170 with a refund of €96.68. Despite my best efforts, Viator has failed, refused or neglected to pay the refund.

A fun day out!

Sunthoshan_G, May 2026
A really fun day out! Tom, our guide was super informative. A walking wine encyclopedia. But never too serious which made the day highly enjoyable. The starting location was easy to find. Tom was on time and the group was small (5 people). We drove through little villages and got a few opportunities to stop and take pictures. The wine tasting was very good ( and plentiful 😁) . Not too snobby or pretentious but with enough info to make the wine discussion enjoyable. The pace of the trip was also very nice because it is a full day out. Overall I would definitely reccomend this tour.

The wine tour was very enjoyable. The best part was the drive through the different vineyards and our guide sharing his knowledge of the local history.

Good tour with an opportunity to improve

Travis_A, Jan 2026
Great experience overall, though there is one point of improvement opportunity. This tour includes two tastings. The first tasting was at Domaine Darby and it was wonderful. The wine maker gave us the tour and he was very friendly. We ended up buying 6 bottles to ship back to the US. Lunch is spent in the cute town of Beaune. The opportunity for improvement is the second winery we attended, Phillipe Lerlec or something like that. It felt rushed; and that the owner/shop manager was annoyed by our visit. He gave no history of the wine or any kind of overview. Just a quick tasting followed up by “do you want to buy anything?” Our tour guide was Paul and he was friendly and knowledgeable of the region and its wine. Overall, we would do this tour again but thought I would share just one point of opportunity to improve this tour.

Amazing Wine Tour

Such a great wine tour! Great villages and wine farms with exquisite views! We loved every minute of it.

Excellent wine tour! Very informative!

Pamela_L, Nov 2025
We had a great day with Anne! She provided a wealth of knowledge on the Bourgogne wines and area. She recommended some regional dishes to try for lunch during our free time in Beaune. We stopped at two different type wineries in the area, which was nice to see the variety of wineries in the area. I would definitely recommend booking this tour!

Only did quick tastings...

Francesca_L, Oct 2025
Only did quick tastings at two vineyards- and time to wander the village. Felt more like a sales pitch than an actual tour. Didn’t help that our tour was an hour delayed due to another guest and rude comments from the tour operator. Would recommend exploring wine bars in Dijon and doing tastings there rather than booking this door.

Highly recommend!

Scott_W, Oct 2025
Very knowledgeable guide. Great tour. Perfect balance of wine tasting and help in understanding the region.

A great day in the vineyard!

Karen_T, Oct 2025
Our guide was wonderful! Knowledgeable and efficient ! Such a fun day among the vines! She was timely and fun!

visit of two wineries...

Christian_G, Oct 2025
visit of two wineries with each a wine tasting - in this tour the selection of the wineries was excellent; visit of Beaune where participants have 2.5 hours on their own

A day exploring and learning about the Burgundy region.

Felicity_Y, Sep 2025
Highly recommend this day tour to provide a great overview of the wineries between Dijon and Beaune. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable, and happy to also share tips on places to eat and visit in Dijon, Beaune and the surrounding areas. We had a full packed car of 8 travellers and Alex made sure that we were comfortable, had plenty of water and toilet stops as needed. We visited a smaller winery in the morning and then a far larger one (very stylish) in the afternoon. We had an hour to ourselves in Beaune to visit the Hospice and to eat lunch. Alex provided a very helpful list of places to eat at. Well worth the day out.

We were a group of 3 couples so it was just us and our guide Marie. The small group made it very personal and easy to get around. Marie was a wonderful guide, very informative. She had a great relationship with the owner/staff at the wineries so we felt very well served. She drove us through the small villages and vineyards which we enjoyed seeing. It was a lovely day!

Most Authentic Wine Tour

Sarah_C, Sep 2025
One of the most authentic experiences for a wine tour. Our guide, Stefan, is an all-in-one provider who not only drove us around but also explained the vineyards, its history, and went through with us the wine tasting. Stefan is super knowledgeable as a former sommelier and he is a local in Beaune who is super well connected in the region. He not only provided us multiple samples across reds and whites and various appellations, he also helped us sample the best wines on the list. We had a really great experience not just sampling wines from bottles but was also lucky enough to watch how they pressed the wine and let us sample straight from the press, as well as from the barrel. Overall a great experience that is highly recommended!

Amazing tour!

Eli_P, Aug 2025
Our tour guide was Max! He made it a really fun experience and kept everything very laid back. He even gave us a number of places to visit after the tour. Can’t recommend it enough.

Very nice

Rong_W, Aug 2025
We had 2 tasting, one more local/family run, the other more modern and mainstream. Both were really good experiences! Red + whites, you get a bit of everything! So much drink! 6 tastings each ^^ come prepared ! Overall very good experience!!!

Enjoyable, excellent tour of Burgundy region

Sagar_A, Aug 2025
Excellent introduction tour to the Burgundy region. It was not rushed, our guide was very good, explained about the region and wines in detail. We tasted 12 wines. Also the Beaune city tour was relaxed and they gave great food recommendations

A wonderful way to experience Burgundy wine - would highly recommend!

AnnaMarie_S, Jul 2025
Max was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about wine and France in general - scenery was stunning, wines were delicious and we covered a great variety of locations and tastings throughout the day.

Fun Wine Experience

George_N, Jul 2025
Our guide Max was outstanding and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the two different vineyards we visited and enjoyed Max's detailed description of how important the different types of soil and the location on the slope affects the taste and character of the wine.

Stefan made our trip!

Susan_M, Jul 2025
We had a wonderful day! We started with a small family winery that ended up being our favorite. Our driver Stefan was so friendly and knowledgeable and actually ran the first wine tasting. The town of Beaune is beautiful. After our time in Beaune we went to one more winery. Stefan really made our trip fun.

A small tour and overall...

Jason_M, Jul 2025
A small tour and overall with 2 stops and the wineries were good. The only thing is I wish we learned more about the wine and history and area.

Amazing day!

Phil_D, Jul 2025
David was incredibly knowledgeable! He is a sommelier with many years of wine experience. The tour was exactly what we were looking for.

The tour was both educational and enjoyable. Our guide, Leonie, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing. As a local with a genuine passion for wine, she added a personal touch that made the experience even more special. I now understand why Burgundy wine commands such a high price.
