We had a great time on this tour with Bart. Bart is very knowledgeable about the history of the island and he answered all our questions. He is also very friendly and engages the tour guests. The food was also delicious. Definitely one of the best food tours we have done in our travels!

Bart is a great tour guide! He is a native so is knowledgeable about the island and its history, culture and food. His food recommendations were excellent giving us a true sense of local cuisine from multiple places around the island. By chance, we got to meet his two young, remarkable boys and their grandfather while they were fishing. It was a pleasant difference from taking a large group cruise tour. We highly recommend.

Bart was awesome! So much more than a food tour. It was a culture tour as well. I went on several tours during my vacation and this one was the best! Don't settle for any other food tour.

Our experience in Curacao was taken to a whole new level thanks to Bart. He is very well informed and knowledgeable on the culture and history, very well connected to the local shops and restaurants, and above all else just a genuinely good guide. We went on this tour expecting to try new foods, which we did, but the tour was much more than just trying food thanks to the visible love Bart has for Curacao!
We went to five food stops trying something new at each place. In between and during the stops is when we learned about not only the food culture and history but also the country. Which continued at the blue Curacao distillery. We were also able to stop and get some touristy photos!
Long story short, I would book this tour all over again just to relive the experience

This fantastic food tour with Bart was one of the best things you can do for yourself, when in Curacao. Bart is born and raised in Curacao and was great at introducing us to the culture, history and flavor of his island. He takes you where the locals go, which in my opinion, is always the best. We give this tour 5 stars, but, I would give more if I could.

This was a FANTASTIC way to take in not only amazing local food, but also local history! Bart was an outstanding guide. As a native to island he had many nuggets of information to share along our trip in addition to great relationships with local vendors to provide you with an authentic Curacao experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We have done food tour in multiple cities/countries… this one was TOP NOTCH and because it is private ( up to 4 ppl in a group) you are assured white glove treatment!

The private food tour by Bart was amazing and exceeded any expectation. Thanks to him we did feel the culture of the island , tried the local tastes but also learned so much. I would have to say that this experience was a different one. Yes we had a good time but it rained on our parade which is extremely rare out here but we made the best of it. The food was great and the pastechi was delicious along with mom’s kitchen and a sweet lady by the way. Learned a lot about the history of curaçao and had a taste of the blue. Won’t disappoint trust……

This is a great local food experience and tour with Bart, a 4th generation Curaçaoan. Picked us up right on time and we had lots of food to choose from plus a distillery tour. Bart took his time to explain some of the culture and origins of the areas and foods. Loved it and would definitely recommend.

The tour was amazing and way more than we expected. Being born & raised on Curacao, Bart truly loves sharing this amazing island with his guests. Along with an exposer to the locals food and food joints, we we got an amazing personalized tour of both sides of the island. Bart's vast knowledge and love is real and personal as he talks about island history and development, the local residents giving back through the carnivals, the art and working to preserve the beauty of the island. Everywhere we went it was obviously that Bart was part of the community, including his Dad's favorite Sate ku Batata (Satay and Potatoes) place.
We highly recommend Bart and encourage anyone who want to see the real Curacao book this tour early, he has the kids in the afternoon so he only does one tour a day.

Happy that we did this experience, especially at the beginning of our vacation here.
The food is amazing, Bart told us no one has been able to finish everything, we had breakfast at 7am, the tour started at 9 30, we ate everything and did not feel like we could not eat anymore ;)
Smoothies at the first stop are fantastic, we had guava and mix.
Ox tail at the end is what we came for.
Highly recommend!

This tour was incredibly informative and a great way to experience the real Curaçao. Bart shared so much fascinating history about the island — from its culture and architecture to its local traditions — in a fun, engaging way. We loved trying authentic local foods and visiting spots we might have never found on our own. Bart made the experience personal, relaxed, and full of great conversation.

Bart was not just a tour guide, he was a host. He gave us an unprecedented tour of the unique cuisine that Curaçao has to offer. He told us the history of the foods we ate and also the community ways that the food is eaten. It was like a tour through his own home and kitchen. It is a wonderful way to experience Curaçao food culture through some delicious food choices and take in the Willemstad area at the same time. We had such an amazing time on our private food tour in Curaçao! There were four of us, and every stop was delicious—we definitely left full and ready for a nap. 😋 While I was a little disappointed the distillery wasn’t open that day, that was completely out of their control and didn’t take away from the overall experience.
Bart was absolutely awesome—attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we felt taken care of the whole time. His passion for the island and its food really showed, and I would recommend him for any occasion. If you’re looking for a fun, flavorful way to explore Curaçao, this tour is a must!

Bart was exceptionally nice. His knowledge of the island is amazing. The food at the local establishments were great and plentiful. Do not eat anything before you go on the tour as you will not have an appetite for all the amazing food Bart will provide.

We had such an amazing time on this tour. We booked it for the first full day of our trip, which was perfect timing. Our guide gave us a great tour of the city and told us a ton about the history, which helped us orient ourselves for our future adventures. Additionally, we got to eat tasty local treats from some of the most delicious mom and pop shops, which we never would have found on our own. Our guide had personal stories about growing up on the island and eating regularly at every one of the places he took us ... Basically, these are the places he and his family eat routinely. It doesn't get more local than that.
We had a blast! Definitely do this!

Absolutely loved this tour. We learned so much about Curacao food, culture, and history. Come hungry!! It will be nearly impossible to finish everything but it will certainly be worth every bite. My mom and I had a blast and felt like we came away with much more than just an understanding of the food culture of the island, we really got a feel for local life here. 10/10 — book this ASAP!
