Such a great activity to do with your time in Corfu! Loved learning a bit about the history of the town and going shopping before preparing our meal. Great group of people who are friendly and fun to be around. If you’re on the fence, do it!

I was a little nervous going alone but as soon as I met George he made me feel right at ease . The group was lovely, we started out at the market shopping for our food along with a small tour of the city which was really nice. We then went to Georges villa which was unbelievable. We were greeted by his family and made feel very welcome. We started to prepare our meals and they all came out great and everything was done super old school. While the food was cooking, George gave us a small olive oil tour which was really nice along with a tasting. This was such a wonderful way to experience an authentic Greek cooking class . Highly recommend this visit even solo.

We had the most amazing day. We were a family of 12 and 3 generations. Georgios was a fantastic host. He organised the outing to the market to buy all the fresh food for the cooking. Lola was an excellent chef. Both involved each one in the preparation. They prepared a menu which met our dietary requirements. The setting for the lunch was picturesque. Georgios also arranged our pick up from the hotel with a lovely driver Theodore. There were lots of other extras. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Georgios for a memorable day.

It was such a fun and memorable experience! We started by learning a bit about the history of Corfu, which really helped us appreciate the local culture. Then we explored the local markets to pick out fresh ingredients, which was such a unique touch. After that, we drove up to our host’s home where we were welcomed so warmly and got to learn the art of Greek cooking firsthand. The host was absolutely delightful—so kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing his culture. Highly recommend!

Truly wonderful experience with Yorgos and his wife. Kind, gracious and very knowledgeable, had such fun, met great people and cooked wonderful food. Our host was very friendly and knowledgable of the area and its history.
His tour through the market was very enlightening helping to share with us how the locals prefer to shop for their food, helping us with translations for Market owners that did not speak English.
My mother and I were able to sample some local fruit at the fresh market and we were able to sample some Soft and Creamy Feta cheese at Paramythia Traditional Cheeses. The feta was out of this world , I have been to a local butcher recommended to me by another local guide and to the supermarkets to try their soft (like butter) feta cheese and they are not the same as Paramythia.
Not only was the market experiance stunning with the quality of veggies, fruits, fish, and cheeses, but the Estate that hosted us for our class and meal were beyond breathtaking.
Stunning views of cliffside towns, and open valleys. Very welcoming family, and Sylvia our cook was also very outgoing and friendly.
Not only did we learn how to make the best cheese pie ive ever had , we learned more about Corfu and its history from a Family thats lived on the island for many generations.
We learned about how locals prefer to cook, slow and steady is best , and we learned a lot about the Olive Trees found all around Corfu and how families have produced Olive oil on the island over many years.
We got a tour even of the familys old olive press and how they used donkeys before modern technology.
Our host was very gracious and even had videos and photos of olive oil production.
And the outdoor kitchen area was Out Of This World 🤯, our cook Sylvia was able to walk us through step by step for all the food we prepared , even making suggestions for alternatives uses of ingredients or substituing an ingrediant for another to get a similar result. I was also a fan of the No Waste mindset of our cook.
Not only was all the food beyond delicious but our hosts even offered a vegan alternative to the pork knuckle main dish for one of our fellow tourists. And our host was able to provide each of us the recipes for every dish we prepared, which was pretty huge for me as a cook.
Our group was small of 6 people not including our hosts, and that was the perfect size for this class. It kept me engaged in everything we did throughout the day and really helped make the connection feel more personal.
I had rented a car and did not need transportation, but our host provided transportation to the other guests and we both arrived at the destination same time. Not confusing on where we needed to go , GPS providing directions to the Estate. It was a beautiful drive up into the mountains about 20 mins.
Overall I would give this experiance a 15/10
I Learned so much more than just how to cook some traditional greek food, and I felt very welcomed. I would highly recommend this to anybody that might think about visiting corfu and enjoys food.

Such a fantastic thing to do / from picking the groceries in Corfu town, leaning some really interesting facts about the history of Corfu and the town, then back to George’s place to cook a delicious Corfiot feast, then learn about olive oil production and how to taste it. Proper 10/10. Lovely other guests too.

After a walking tour of the town, we went to our hosts’ beautiful villa to help prepare a wonderful meal. This was a small group of 5 people. We all participated in the preparation of our meal of Greek Salad, Tzatziki sauce, Greek Potatoes and Walnut/brown sugar stuffed apples. Our host had already marinated and placed in his wood oven the Pork Knuckles as the main course of the meal. After lunch we had a relaxing walk in the olive grove, learned how olives are cultivated into olive oil and saw a 100’s year old olive press. The setting is absolutely pastoral and the wine was flowing.

George picked us up right from the cruise terminal and took us shopping in a local market to pick ingredients for a meal. We drove about 30 minutes to his gorgeous house overlooking the mountains and countryside. We cooked a lovely meal in his outdoor kitchen and shared lots of smiles and laughs. Highly recommend, everyone should book this excursion!

This is a fabulous outing in Corfu.Super informative about Corfu Town’s history.We loved shopping for our ingredients at the market,the bakery and the deli that has the very best feta!!

This tour was truly special! From shopping in the open market in Corfu Town to spending time in his beautiful al fresco kitchen preparing the dishes, the entire experience was lovely. He gave a tour of the grounds as well, showing us his garden and the ruins of his family’s old olive press.
