This was very interesting! The boat ride was my favorite! Definitely one to not skip! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable.
Tracy_H, Sep 2025
The boat ride to the caves was nice but the rest of the day was nothing but bus riding. The stop to see the view to Mouse Island was terrible. It seemed like it was an extra 45 minutes in the bus for a 5 minute stop and the view wasn’t any more special than anywhere else we drove by. Then when we got to the City Center area, I felt like I was being held hostage. There were so many neat things to see and so many little shops to explore but we had to follow the tour guide around and look at more statues, government buildings and churches. We only had about 45 minutes to explore the best part of town because we had been on the bus all day. I regret doing this tour except that I enjoyed the boat ride.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
We regret to hear that our tour did not fully meet your expectations. Let me address the concerns raised:
1. While tastes differ, the Mouse Island viewpoint is one of the most famous spots in Corfu. We did not dedicate a separate drive there, but we paused briefly for photos on the way to Corfu Town, in full accordance with the tour itinerary.
2. We provided 45 minutes of free time after the guided portion in Corfu Town. This is generally sufficient for shopping. However, if shopping is your priority over culture and history, we recommend booking a private shopping tour or exploring independently.
For future bookings through Viator, we strongly encourage basing expectations on the published tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than personal assumptions.
Safe travels!

Easy way to to get a taste of the island, and cheaper than what the cruise offers for the same locations. It was flexible, we stayed in old town for an extra hour and made our own way back to the cruise
Kim_M, Aug 2025
Today’s tour of Corfu was perfect - our tour guide was fantastic - the tour company gave me clear directions as to how to find them on the pier and even called at the meeting time to make sure I knew where I was going - the tour was complete and we saw all of the highlights of Corfu - highly recommend !

Not many options for tours on Corfu if you don't drink or want to layout on a beach. We decided this was our best option. The bus ride was okay, but when we got to the 'relaxing beach' it was crammed with people, very little shoreline to enjoy the water. We didn't stay long.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. As clearly outlined in the tour description, this is not intended as a relaxed beach day, but rather a shore excursion specifically designed for cruise passengers. Corfu—and especially its most beautiful beaches—tends to be very busy from May through October, as it is one of the most popular travel destinations worldwide. If you wish to experience Corfu with fewer crowds, we highly recommend visiting during the low season. Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels.

Very disappointing! Normally enjoy Viator excursions. Not this one…. If you are looking for a beautiful beach day, this is not it. The title of the tour is misleading… there was less than an hour at the “beach”. The beach was an overcrowded strip of sand maybe 10 yards wide and 100 yards long. The boat to the unimpressive caves were crowded, and despite the pictures…you couldn’t get off and explore the caves.
About 2 hours of the time was spent in the bus going to and from the port. Corfu is a beautiful town, but would highly suggest either going to the town alone, or the beach alone…. Not a rushed combo trip like this excursion .👎

We regret to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. Let us to address the concerns you raised:
1. As clearly stated in the tour description, this is not a beach day but a shore excursion specifically designed for cruise passengers visiting Corfu.
2. The time allocated at the beach is clearly mentioned as 1 hour.
3. Corfu, including its most beautiful beaches, is typically crowded from May through October.
4. The boat ride is an optional activity, as outlined in the tour itinerary. The caves in the area can only be explored by boat, not on foot.
When booking through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the official tour description and itinerary, rather than personal assumptions. Safe travels

So it was an Ok day but don't expect a lot. A heads up on the extra 15 euro per person for the pseudo "cave" tour would have been good.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for your feedback. Please note that the tour description and itinerary clearly mention the €15 fee, payable on the spot directly to the boat company for the optional ride. As for the Blue Caves, they are indeed real and widely recognized—you’re welcome to find more information about them online. For future bookings through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description and listed inclusions, rather than personal assumptions. Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels

The trip details are extremely well-worded to sound appealing, but when you read between the lines, it doesn’t actually promise much. Essentially, it’s a bus tour to the beach for 50 minutes. The boat tour is an extra €15 per person — which was a great experience — but taking it meant we weren’t allowed to swim.
After that, there was a 50-minute bus ride to a viewpoint of Mouse Island, where you take a quick photo and then spend 20 minutes getting a coffee or ice cream. There’s not much else to do there.
The “tour around Corfu” lasted about 5 minutes and basically just pointed out where the taxi and bus ranks are. The tour guide was really lovely, but overall, it was a lot of money for what was essentially a series of short bus stops. The photos used to promote the tour are extremely misleading and don’t reflect what you’ll actually see.
Also, the starting time you select during booking means nothing — it’s based on what suits the tour operator. We were only told at 8:30pm the night before that our tour would start an hour earlier — just over 12 hours’ notice. Again, they carefully word things in the fine print to allow for this, but it’s still very inconvenient.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for your kind words about our guide. Let me address the concerns you raised:
1. According to the guide you praised, the main source of your disappointment appeared to be your expectation of a private tour, when in fact you booked a standard shared tour. There is no need to "read between the lines" to determine this — tours labeled as private are clearly marked "PRIVATE" in the title and usually cost at least twice as much as shared experiences.
2. Regarding the boat trip, again, there is no ambiguity. The tour itinerary clearly states:
“Optional 45-minute boat trip, €10–15 per person, payable on the spot — subject to weather conditions and seasonal availability.”
3. The bus ride from Paleokastritsa to the Mouse Island viewpoint is approximately 30 minutes, which you are welcome to verify using Google Maps.
4. Based on our guide's notes and bus GPS records, the group spent 1 hour and 23 minutes in Corfu Town.
5. As clearly noted in the "Additional Info" section of the tour description, the actual pickup time may vary from the estimated time on your ticket. Pickup times are finalized and sent to your email and phone prior to the tour. This tour is designed for cruise passengers, and the timing is adjusted based on the ship’s arrival. Airline visitors are welcome to join from the cruise port, but should note that pickup time is optimized for cruise guests.
6. The detailed pickup information was sent to both your email and phone more than 24 hours prior to the tour. If you were unable to receive it due to lack of service, we recommend addressing the issue with your mobile or internet provider.
All of the above facts are verified, which is why your repeated refund request was respectfully declined.
When booking with Viator in the future, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description, detailed itinerary, and listed inclusions — not just on photos or personal assumptions.
Safe travels!

Beautiful place , excellent tour guide. The beach was nice but crowded. The take boat instead. Found some great local food and things in town!
Christina_M, Jun 2025
This tour includes traveling on a coach bus. While we enjoyed the tour, we wished we had more than the 20 minutes of free time in the Old Town and the hour at the beach. We sat for lunch at a restaurant that was beach front but since we were limited in time we almost didn't get the food in time. The food was good and we were Able to rent a towel for 4 Euros so that our son could swim while we waited on the food. Bring a towel if you want to swim but we were glad they offered the rental (to the restaurant guests only). Water and beach were beautiful.
Sarah_J, Jun 2025
First, we waited an hour on the bus after the start time and then tour didn’t go in the order that was advertised…..by the time we got the monastery, they said it was closed, but after checking operation hours it would have been open if they went in the original order. They said we could go to the aquarium instead of the monastery but it was an additional charge. I thought we were going to see the monastery??? The whole tour felt rushed!! It said it was a small tour and there’s about 50 people! We had to hurry back because two people on the entire bus was on a different cruise ship that left two hours earlier! It doesn’t make sense that they would put two people on the bus that was on a different ship!! Lots of waisted time for a lot of money!!!!
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Are you sure your review was posted to the correct business? It’s possible that there may have been a mix-up with your experiences across different islands — we do not have any monastery listed in the tour description or itinerary — nor is there any mention of an aquarium or the other details referenced in your feedback. Safe travels!

Corfu is a wonderful island - lots of history and interesting facts. Tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Beena_M, May 2025
This is a good tour to see some highlights of Corfu. We took a boat ride to see caves which was beautiful.
David_L, May 2025
We were on the bus for about 3 hours. The stops were quick and not worth it in my opinion. The cave boat ride was also quick(about 20 min), cost extra and we only saw one cave(barley went inside, just the edge). Our tour guide was very nice but put me asleep with her talking. The bus was VERY hot and we were told the ac was as high as it would go. We have gone on lots of other tours that were much better and cheaper.
Response from Host, May 2025
We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns you raised:
1. The total duration of the tour is 4 hours and 30 minutes, which includes: 90 minutes of round-trip transfer to Paleokastritsa, 1 hour at the beach, with an optional 45-minute boat ride, 20 minutes at the Mouse Island viewpoint and approximately 1.5 hours in Corfu Old Town — your timing calculation appears to be inaccurate, and we hope this breakdown provides clarity.
2. From over 20 years of experience in shore excursion, it’s common for travelers arriving from the U.S. to feel the effects of jet lag and time zone differences—especially with early morning starts. At 4 a.m. U.S. time, many guests understandably feel drowsy on the coach, and we don’t take this personally.
3. We use modern, air-conditioned German coaches, maintained to a high standard. However, it’s important to note that in Greek summer heat, especially with outside temperatures exceeding 100°F and short-distance drives, the cooling system may not feel as strong as it does during highway rides back at home is Louisiana.
4. While we understand pricing perceptions can vary, we’d like to point out that in Europe, a €100 guided tour that includes pickup and drop-off at the cruise terminal, transportation, a fully licensed English-speaking guide, and a professional driver is considered a very competitive and fair rate.
We wish you safe and happy travels ahead
Tamara_C, May 2025
Our tour guide, Mary, was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area, and our bus driver expertly handled the narrow roads and sharp turns. The sites were beautiful. Be aware that the boat tour of the caves costs an extra 15 euros per person in cash.
Byron_C, Apr 2025
Magda is very good guide. Patient and informative and pleasant. Paleokastritsa monastery has gorgeous view of the bays and beaches below. I was still disappointed that boat ride to caves was not operating. How is a tourist to know what seasonal availability is?
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you for your positive feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed both our guide’s services and the island.
Regarding seasonal availability, the high season in Greece runs from May through October. During this period, the weather is favorable for boat trips about 99% of the time. Outside of these months, the weather becomes unpredictable, with storms and strong winds frequently visiting Corfu during the low tourist season.
To keep it short, we highly recommend that anyone looking to get the most out of their Mediterranean cruise plans their trip during the high season.
