This tour was great but be warned it is a lot of time travelling.
Although advertised as two locations and lunch due to the traffic and timings we actually spent 8 hours in the road and only 1.5 hours at the Chi Chi Tunnels. However the guide we had was great and very knowledgable. It’s just a shame that the title of this tour is not what it is. We also had no time to stop for food so I’m glad I took snacks! Water was provided.

As much as we try to stay on schedule, the traffic between the city and the tunnels can sometimes be a major challenge.
We wish you had more time for this port, we totally can executive all the advertised itinerary.

The best day in SE Asia! Liam our guide was the best part of the experience. He took us to beautiful temples, a delicious lunch, the royal palace, he got us the most delicious coffee and of course the famous tik tok coffee houses, and can’t forget the best Bahn Mi in Ho Chi Minh City!! He was also the best photographer all day! He truly felt like a friend by lunch and family by the time the day ended. Our family traveled with my mother in law and my 10 year old and my husband and I. The van was perfect and clean and comfortable and it was the best excursion of our whole cruise but especially thanks to Liam. We can’t wait to go back to Vietnam and we will definitely be choosing Liam when we do!

Had an amazing time. Bruno was our guide. Highly recommend requesting him. My kids enjoyed him a lot. The tunnels were interesting to see and it’s great to learn about the conflict from each sides point of view.

Fab communication between myself and Guide before we met. We were collected from out side the port, Aimond was waiting with a name card. We were driven to Cu Chi Tunnels where our guide Aimond was very knowledgeable and showed us around the area. Really interesting and thought provoking. On the way to the tunnels we visited a local organisation who work with those effected by the Agent Orange Gas, then taken for traditional Vietnamese soup and noodles in a Michelin star restaurant (included within the price) on the way back and really got to experience the local culture in Ho Chi Min City off the tourist track. Aimond provided us with lots of information on the car journey and was more than happy to answer any questions we had about anything. We finished with a quick visit to the Central Post Office where we bought a couple of postcards and then taken back to the ship. Unfortunately did not have time for the market as traffic was so busy and it takes 3 hours to drive to the tunnels from the port, hence why I did not give 5 stars, but this is no reflection on the rest of the experience…Just be prepared for the long car journeys, but worth every minute to see the Tunnels. Thanks Aimond! And to the driver. Would highly recommend.

My husband and friends were picked up from the port for this visit. Sarah was lovely and had to cope with terrible traffic each way which made the double journey nearly 8 hrs in total. The driver was excellent. Once we arrived at the tunnels Sarah took us around the vast site and was very informative with the history. It really was an unmissable trip which explained many things of this part of history.
We were due to eat lunch but we didn’t have enough time due to the traffic, so Sarah arranged for the restaurant to have a takeaway meal which we collected and was delicious.
More time would have been good but the heavy traffic was no one’s fault and Sarah was great.

Confusion with the meeting time. We booked the meeting time for 10AM but got message grom the guide that we should meet at 7AM because of the traffic. We end up meeting at 8:30am. There should not be a choice of meeting time on the site to choose. We ended up rushing through the city.

Thank you for your kindly feedback and sorry for any confusion it may cause.
Because your ship planned to dock at Phu My port from 7am to 8pm on March 8th, you had enough time to visit both Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh city if you started earlier than 10am.
From Phu My port to Cu Chi Tunnels, it costs us nearly 3 hours, and starting later than 10am you may get the traffic on the highway as well. That's why your tour guide recommended you to do so.
We have plenty of the choices for meeting time because this is private tour so you can choose the time you want. Some cruise ships docking at Phu My port till 10pm, 11pm or overnight, so starting at 10am is fine.
We always try to give to our beloved customers a good suggestion/recommendation to get great experience with our tour.

Perhaps the most special experience in all of our tours throughout various countries in Asia. Our guide, Liam, was simply spectacular. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, enthusiastic, thoughtful and he always anticipated all of our needs (provided water, bathroom breaks, etc). Liam went above and beyond all of our expectations! He provided our group with memories for a lifetime. Liam is a special person with a heart of gold.

Ryan was an excellent guide who txt me the day before with instructions of how to exit the Port from our cruiseship & where we would find him .. very informative trip to the tunnels & I even went down them .. not bad for an 80 year old. Lunch in a Michelin star resturant in Saigon was a lovely surprise. I highly recommend this tour

Our cruise ship stopped at Phu My. My dad has always wanted to see the Cu Chi tunnels outside of HCMC so we booked this tour. We had an amazing tour guide named Bruno. We explained that we wanted the highlights of the tunnels and that we couldn’t walk for a long period of time because my dad is elderly and needs to take breaks. Bruno knocked it out of the ballpark. He was so knowledgeable and had a passion for explaining the tunnels. Every question that my dad asked, Bruno knew the answer to. This was by far, my dad’s favorite excursion during the entire cruise. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it but it left a lasting impact on me and that’s because of the way Bruno explained everything. I highly recommend Bruno and this tour.

Our tour guide, Mai, was amazing! She gave us history about Ho Chi Minh City and the tunnels on our way there because it is a long ride. At the tunnels we got a private tour (just me and my boyfriend) with Mai and all other groups I saw were in larger numbers. She provided us with history and facts about the tunnels and the war itself and we got to go at our own pace. We didn't get to see much of Ho Chi Minh City because of time on our part not hers but what we did see was great. She took us to this local lunch spot where we ate Pho and it was very good. The driver was also great! He got us back on time when we were running a bit late. All in all I would 100% recommend this tour with Mai, she was personable, engaging and knowledgeable.

Private tour for me and my travel companion. Our guide David was full of interesting information and happy to modify the tour a little bit to make sure we got some extras, like a stop for Vietnamese coffee. The tunnel complex is very interesting. Lunch stop was at a beautiful little restaurant. The only difficult part was that the tour company had not paid whatever administrative fee was necessary to get across the port entrance so we had to find a way out from the ship. The security guard did not want us to walk, so we had to pay 2 to a guide to drive us for two minutes to get through the gate. Coming back, it was no problem to walk.
