Our guide Luat - Lawrence was terrific to both Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau. Very informative and knowledgeable. Great lunches
What an amazing experience in this truly lovey and vibrant city. Our guide Jason was the BEST! He took us to a wonderful coffee shop for Vietnamese egg coffee and it was life changing. Officially looking for a Vietnamese coffee house close to home now! Jason made sure we were able to experience this place like a local and for that we are grateful. Definitely recommend and hope everyone that gets the experience enjoys it!

The drive is a llloonnnggg way from the pier! Barney was so amazing, informative and made the day fly!! He was so knowledgeable but not pushy. I loved every minute. Even the drive from the pier. He let us pick what we wanted to do so I didn’t feel like a number, he was so invested. Will let all of our friends and family to use Barney on Viator. So pleased with the whole experience!

We had the most incredible day exploring Ho Chi Minh City with Bruno, and it was easily the highlight of our trip. He led us through a packed itinerary, including the Imperial Palace, the stunning Post Office, and Notre Dame Cathedral. We also spent time at the War Remnants Museum, where Bruno’s deep historical insights brought the exhibits to life. Beyond the landmarks, he took us for an authentic local lunch that was absolutely delicious—a true taste of Vietnam that we never would have found on our own.
What truly sets Bruno apart is how knowledgeable and informative he is, paired with perfect English that made every conversation effortless. He has a great sense of humor and kept us laughing throughout the day, making the tour feel like we were being shown around by a local friend. If you want a professional, witty, and deeply insightful guide to see the best of Saigon, we cannot recommend Bruno highly enough!
Tom took us on a Great food and city tour from the port!!! We hit all the major city highlights and. A few food/beer and egg coffee stops. 6 hr tour plus 1.5 hr transit time to/from port. Tom communicated with us the day before to confirm pickup up point via what ups app!!

Pham was very knowledgeable and her spoken English was excellent. She was able to answer all our questions and took us to all the sights as described in the tour. She also offered to go to locations we had specific interests in.
Our tour guide was Bao. He communicated with us through WhatsApp before the tour so that we would know exactly where and when to meet him. Bao is very pleasant and knowledgeable.
My husband has mobility issues and uses a rollator. Bao was extremely helpful with my husband's needs. By going on a private tour we were able to alter the tour to fit our needs. Twice we ran into my brother who went on a ship's tour.
I suspect we paid less than the ship's tour and received a much nicer tour. Even if this cost more than the ship's tour, it would still be worth it for the personalized service. It is nice to be able to make your own schedule. The vehicle was very nice. There was a separate driver who would drop us very close to where we needed to go and then pick us back up when Bao contacted him saying we were ready to move along. I highly recommend Bao and this tour!

Picked up right at cruise dock with personal name card! Be prepared for long drive to Ho Chi Minh City lots of traffic but very interesting cultural experience. Driver was experienced and very safe. Traffic is very interesting. Our guide Emmie was the best. Very professional and educated we learned so much history from her. She was patient and geared the tour toward our specifications. The lunch of pho was delicious, the flower market tour simply beautiful. The imperial palace tour with all its decadence and underground bunkers was awesome. We enjoyed every minute hated it to end. I got fabulous souvenirs at the BinThran market. Emmie negotiated everything for us. Can’t say enough about this tour worth every penny.

SUPERB experience taking this tour! Qui communicated before our arrival and was waiting upon our arrival at the port. He is very educated on the history of Vietnam explaining to us a lot during our hour and 45 minute drive to the city. We were impressed with everything. The War Remnants Museum was a good history lesson. The driver, Thuan, is a very experienced driver getting us around town and to every stop. Thanks for a GREAT experience!

Very organized, local guide contact me via Whatsapp the day before the tour. Pick us up at the spot promptly. Hani is our tour guide, her English is very fluent, she took us exactly where we want to be, pretty much all was our arrangement point.

Outstanding communication via the app and whats app too, excellent reception at the port, the drive and our tour guide where polite/knowledgeable/experienced and flexible with our requested amendments. Blake was an outstanding guide, knowledgeable, kind and amenable to the requested changes to the itinerary as we had a 7 year old in our party who needed food before our scheduled lunch break. He found a great Thai resturant which also catered for him as a vegetarian. Our Driver Tho was excellent and we felt safe at all times despite the craziness of the roads (in comparison to the UK). Overall an excellent private trip which ticked all the boxes and we met 2 really nice guys who looked after the three of us exceptionally well. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Bruno was an excellent guide - probably the best we’ve had over the years. The tour covered a nice sampling of Ho Chi Min City.
We booked this private tour expecting a fully customizable experience, and while the guide was knowledgeable and we managed to see a lot, the day ultimately felt rushed and not quite as advertised.
One key issue was that we did not get to visit the Secret Weapons Cellar, which was included in the tour description and paid for. Due to timing constraints, there was no opportunity to make this up or add any alternative activity, and we also had no extra time for flexibility or optional stops, despite being a private tour.
The tour did include bánh mì, local coffee, and local iced tea, which we appreciated in principle. However, this became a serious concern as we became quite sick afterward, most likely from the iced tea. We specifically asked whether the drinks were safe and made with filtered or purified water, and were told they were “definitely safe.” Unfortunately, that did not seem to be the case. Taking tourists to places where water safety is uncertain, especially after being asked directly, feels irresponsible.
Overall, the guide was friendly and informative, and the itinerary itself covers many highlights. However, missing a paid activity, the lack of real flexibility, and the food and drink safety issue significantly affected our experience. With better time management and more care around food and water safety, this could be a much stronger tour.

3. Lack of Flexibility:

Wi was an incredible tour operator. He had so much experience and showed us so much of Vietnam. It was nice to have lunch with Wi. He took us to his favorite resturant then went to his favorite coffee house, where we ate, laughed and I had two of my first a banh mi sandwich and egg coffee. Both were absolutely delish. But the talking and laughing with Wi was even better. Thank you for an excellent tour. My husband and I loved seeing your city through your eyes. That is what makes trips so special.
