Great private tour

We enjoyed this private tour. Our guide, Hillbilly Jack, was great. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the country and tailored the tour to match our likes. And the lunch was delicious!!

terrible time in Viet Nam

the lunch consisted of sandwich wrapped in paper placed on dirty table with bags of toppings no utensils everyone had to use their fingers terrible food also chicken pieces of chicken mostly bone. the only drinks provided were hot cans of coke, hot bottles of water and coffee. did I mention it was over 90 degrees. half way thru the tour the air conditioning did not work half way. thru the tour the vans air conditioning broke and 8 of us seated thru more than two hours driving. did I mention it was over 90 degrees. the experience was horrible. want a partial refund for Viator NOT providing the services that was paid for

Stunning Tour

Where to begin. A fantastic tour of Saigon by Jack and our driver. During the trip to and from the cruise port Jack "assaulted" us with the history and development of Vietnam. Its geography, religions, politics and of course the Vietnam war. His research and pragmatic approach to the presentation made it eye opening and a delight. The tour was on a particularly busy day in the city and Jack tailored our time to the most important venues and was only to helpful in utilising our time to fit in the most important areas of Saigon. A great tour, we would recommend to anyone. Step forward guys and in particular Jack and take a bow.

Not a Fun Day in Ho Chi Minh City.

While our guide was informative, it was clearly a one sided view. We had lunch in a back alley on a plastic stool. He said that is the lunch CNN and BBC recommended. Absolutely no way!! I’m fairly certain that is not what Viator expects for its patrons. Our guide was more interested in taking pictures with us to promote his tours than letting us do some things we wanted. We only were allowed 30 minutes in Chinatown and no time in Ben Thanh Market because he said it’s a tourist trap. Then he left our driver, who spoke no English, to take us back to the ship because he said he had to go to another city due to a death in the family.

What a great tour! Jack was super knowledgeable and informative of the country’s history and all the sites. He took us to a great lunch spot as well. The vehicle was very comfortable and the driver did an excellent job navigating the traffic. I’d highly recommend this tour company and especially Jack.

Fantastic - don’t do cruise shore tours - this tour is a MUST

From the onset the whole experience was amazing, communication from the onset as to pick up and guide was fantastic. We were collected at the port by our guide Vinh - we cannot rate Vinh high enough. Our tour was made more enjoyable, informative and cultural experience by Vinh. We were taken to all of the city highlights but more important explained the history of Vietnam during our drive, we learnt so much from this experience. Vinh took us to all of the amazing places, markets and included a traditional Vietnamese lunch by the banks of the river. Then returned to port in plenty of time. We throughly enjoyed this tour and throughly recommend this experience if you are coming into port. Don’t do the cruise ship tours, they had 20 in a bus and looked like sheep, do a personalised tour like us, it’s well worth it. Talking to many people on the ship they wished they had done what we had. Thank you Vinh and Troung our driver we will definitely be back

Wir hatten einen netten Guide, der uns viel über Land und Leute erklärte. Mit dem Kleinbus durch die Stadt zu fahren, war ein Erlebnis. Wir wurden vom Hafen Phu My abgeholt. Die Organisation lief bestens. Das landestypische Mittagessen mit Fischsuppe und gegrillten Hähnchen war ein Leckerbissen! Für uns war es die beste Entscheidung, Saigon auf diese Weise zu besuchen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder die se Art von Tour wählen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Tag!
