Like some cruise ship passengers, I tried to cram what I thought we could do in the time possible being a first time visitor. Should have just told Mr. Minh what I like / wanted and let him do the rest, which, in the end we did. We went on a very hot March day and he accommodated us so that we enjoyed ourselves. In the end, we just went to see the War Remnants Museum, Saigon Post Office, lunch at an air conditioned and highly rated restaurant (great food), and enjoyed beverages at the Landmark 81 tower. Sounds short, but the experiences overwhelmed me and actually ended a little early at our request because we were emotionally tired and satisfied. Saigon is a great city to visit and a customized private excursion is a great way to see it efficiently. Mr. Minh was our guide who spoke English very well and knew the city inside and out. I don't remember the driver's name, but he was courteous and drove extremely safely. We felt we were in great hands at all times. Highly recommended.

Strongly recommend this tour and guide. Our guide, Ms. Nhu Y, was absolutely wonderful. When we booked the tour, we indicated that we didn’t want to go to one of the stops but we did want to do some shopping for some specialty items. The day before the tour Ms. Nhu Y contacted us to arrange the pickup, she also informed us she had three recommended places to shop for the items we were interested in and if those were not satisfactory, she could find more. She and her driver arrived early and the pickup at the cruise port was flawless. She was extremely knowledgeable, informative and professional. She made Vietnam and the city come to life. We saw all the sights we wanted to see. One of the high lights was when she took us to a local pho restaurant for lunch, absolutely delicious!!! We got back to the cruise port with time to spare.

It takes about an hour to an hour and a half to get from the port to Saigon but our guide Ryan and driver were both excellent in that they got us to all the important and interesting places to see ( and eat!) during the day. We visited the flower market and a Chinese temple, and the old original post office, plus the war remnants museum, a lacquer business where they should us the process of making lacquerware, we had time for coffee and were also taken to a typical Vietnamese restaurant for lunch and then a visit to Walking Street and a superb market and a visit to a lovely church on our way back to the ship. A really full day out with a lit of information given to us. I can really recommend this excursion .

This private tour with Y was amazing! She is Super Great!!! She is kind, knowledgeable and bent over backwards to accommodate our every request. She explained all the elements of the tour so well and made us feel at home in a country we were unfamiliar with. It was awesome to be catered to throughout the tour allowing us to be flexible with whatever we wanted to do such as shopping and stopping for coffee whenever we wanted. It was like being given a personal tour by a friend. Had the pho we’ve ever had!! Would 100% do it again!!

Our guide was very well informed. She knew her history and was very proud of her country. She also was very sensitive to our feelings as Americans and how the war affected our soldiers as well. Our driver was very skilled and had nerves of steel in the insane amount of traffic. The guide-was very accommodating to our request. I couldn’t have been sweeter.

Our tour with Castle was exceptional from start to finish. He is an outstanding guide with extensive historical knowledge, and he enhanced the experience by using photos on his iPad to help us better understand the sites and their significance. His pride in his country was evident throughout the day and made the tour even more meaningful.
We visited the most important landmarks, which were especially beautiful as they were decorated for Tet, the Vietnamese New Year. Despite the extremely hot weather, Castle ensured everything ran smoothly and kept us engaged and comfortable.

We had a fantastic Best of Ho Chi Minh private tour with Kai and an expert driver—and trust me, that driver deserves a medal 🏅. The two-hour drive from the port into the city is not for the faint of heart; traffic rules are more of a suggestion and it truly feels like every man (and scooter) for himself. Having a highly trained driver was not a luxury—it was survival.
Once we arrived, everything was smooth, comfortable, and wonderfully organized. We toured all the “must-see” sights in a brand-new luxury van that easily fit our party of four, giving us a front-row seat to the energy of Ho Chi Minh City—without actually having to dodge motorbikes ourselves (huge win).
Lunch was a highlight: delicious chicken pho at a Michelin Guide local eatery that proved simple food can be absolutely extraordinary. Kai was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the day both informative and fun, sharing insights while keeping the pace relaxed and enjoyable.
If you want to see Ho Chi Minh City in comfort, learn a lot, eat well, and live to tell the tale of the traffic—this is the tour. Highly recommend Kai and this unforgettable experience!

I book this tour because we wanted a little of everything in Ho Chi Minh City. Richie was spectacular! From the communications via WhatsApp to the personalized pick up from the port, it was well worth it. A few days before, Richie asked what we had in mind and what sights we wanted to visit. He gave his opinion and created an itinerary we would all enjoy. I messaged him about a local Koi Fish restaurant and he advised it might be packed due to tourist popularity but he found a similarly location and it was breathtaking. It was a restaurant where the seating area INSIDE was a Koi Pond! I hope to upload pictures later on this app because it was stunning! We were able to feed the fish while sipping on refreshments! After that, we headed to the museum but my mom wasn’t feeling well because of the heat, so we left a little early. We opt out of the other location and wanted to go straight to the market instead. I had also mentioned about trying the famous egg coffee, and Richie was able to find a coffee shop that sold it along the way. Richie was very flexible and willing to work navigating around our circumstances. His driver was funny and entertaining along the way! Richie spoke good English where we could understand each location as we went on throughout our day. He made sure we got back to our port right on time with no traffic issues. I highly recommend this tour! 10/10

Our guide “Vincent always happy” really made our day in the city memorable. He and our driver got us safely to every destination we wanted to see. They helped us feel safe both when driving and even when crossing streets. We saw twice as many sites as we would have on our ship’s excursion.
Vincent was very knowledgeable about Vietnamese culture and history. He really knew his way around the sites and the city. We had a wonderful authentic lunch at a local restaurant. He even catered to our whims such shopping for coffee and stopping at a Cirkle K,

There were six of us that booked this tour. With the guide and driver 8 total. very nice plush seat Van. The tour sketch is laid out well with time allotment for each site. My advice would be to adhere to the schedule so you don’t miss anything later in the tour. Our tour guide Anna, was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

We booked this trip as a shore excursion day trip. We couldn’t have asked for more. Great communication before and after booking, easy pick up from cruise ship peer and our licensed guide Vin was very king and knowledgeable. He toured us around to all the key areas while the dedicated driver managed the trip. Vin recommended a Pho restaurant that was great. We were very pleased with this private tour. We got back to the shop without issue.

Tap, our tour guide, along with our driver were amazing. We had a great day and saw all kinds of things around Saigon city. This is a great private tour to see Saigon. We came with Holland America Noordam. Picked up from gate and dropped to the same place.
We have seen palace, post office, bunker, tried vietnamese cofee, had a great lunch with local cousine in a hidden gem. Visited the Book street (my favorite place), art gallery and market. Bruno was excellent guide with perfect English, sense of humor and very knowledgeable.

Truly the most numbable part of the excretion was the group leader Hazel. Hazel is a young woman and so knowledgeable literally about everything Vietnam. We learned so much driving in the car in between each and every place. My favorite place was the Independence Palace. There were six of us in the band was beautiful which made the 90 minute drive each way from the ship port easy. We had a great day and really enjoyed learning so much about this beautiful country.
