Wonderful excursion to experience a true Tuscan family farm. We did the truffle hunting and pasta making. Gian Marco was a professional truffle hunter and very knowledgeable. He and one of his truffle hunting dogs, Taboo, lead us and it was fun and interesting. Afterwards, we made fresh pasta with our gracious host, Nico. During our stay on their farm where they have a vineyard, olive groves, and also produce saffron, we were treated to home made wines, a charcuterie board featuring local products, and our delicious pasta with the fresh truffles! Ended the meal with a lemon yogurt and home made olive leaf digestivo. I would highly recommend this for couples and families visiting Tuscany! Thank you to Nico for being so welcoming to his family farm and Gian Marco (and Taboo) for the truffle hunting experience!

100% recommended this experience if you are in Tuscany! We enjoyed the truffle hunting together with Marco and Taboo, we were lucky to find 5 truffles in the morning and the pasta making session was very fun too! Lunch is amazing!

      Exceptional experience in Chianti

We have been to Italy many, many times for work in the food industry and have been on quite a few food related tours. This experience was warm, personal, interesting, and detailed. Leaning more about the truffle business was enlightening, walking through the forest with Luca and his dog Taboo was uniquely fun. We also had a nice Conversation about the economic forces in Tuscany and impacts on family farming. All around Bravo!

Exploring the backyard forest, and eating antipasto and home made pasta with truffle was simply amazing (followed by a delicious desert) - Nothing to fault, great experience, great family and great scenery.

Our favorite tour of our trip to Italy! The truffle hunting experience and pasta making were so fun. Definitely worth the drive or cab ride from Florence.

Exactly what we expected and more

Exactly what we expected and more. The hosts, Nico taking us on an adventurous hike through the gorgeous forests in Tuscany with the truffle hunting licenced expert, Luca, with his beautful truffel hunting dog, Tabu. It had rained a few days before, which made smelling the truffel a bit harder than usual, but Tabu found quite a few and in particular one big one that we later had grated over our freshly made pasta. Nico explained the different truffels, seasons and rules of hunting. After the truffle hunting, Nico's lovely father guided us through making fresh tagliatelle from scratch. Meanwhile Nico and the family had prepared us a mouthwatering cheese board that we enjoyed with their home made truffle products and self-produced white and red wines. We ended off with our delicious tagliatelle with pepper sauce and more red wine. It is rare to have such a well organised and knowledgable immersive experience and would recommend it to anyone who would like to experience the raw Tuscan life.

      An unforgettable experience!

Gian Marco, our expert truffle hunter, was an absolute delight. Alongside him was his adorable dog, Tabu, the star of the show! Even though it was the end of the bianchetto season, Tabu found many truffles for us. After a successful hunt, we were treated to a fantastic pasta making session with Camila. The best part? We got to enjoy the fruits of our labor - a delicious lunch featuring homemade focaccia, a charcuterie board, and the pasta we made with freshly shaved truffles. This tour is a must do for anyone visiting the area. The family's hospitality, truffle hunting, and hands-on pasta making experience made it a day to remember. Highly recommend!!

      A Magical Day!

This experience was a dream come true, and was amazing from the moment we arrived! It took place at Cofferi 1242, which is a family run farm that produces many products including wine, olive oil, and truffle products. We were introduced to everyone and started on our truffle hunt with the adorable dog Taboo! The weather was perfect and we went on a great walk and found 9 truffles!! Then we came back and started with pasta making. While the dough was eating we had freshly baked focaccia on the patio with a glass of wine with a heavenly view! After we finished pasta making, we had the most delicious lunch featuring charcuterie and samples of their truffle products, the pasta we made topped with freshly shaved truffles from our hunt, and dessert-all homemade! We didn’t want the experience to end. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this if you want to experience the MAGIC OF TUSCANY.

      Exceeded expectations

The entire experience was amazing! The hosts made us feel at home at their lovely Tuscan manor with breathtaking views. We were never rushed and Fabrizio took his time to accommodate every guest. Gon Marco and Tabu, our truffle hunting dog, were an incredible team, not stopping until we had more than enough truffles for our delicious lunch.

      Highly recommend this excursion!

This experience exceeded my expectations! I was thinking we'd just go into the forest to look for truffles and then make pasta. But they fed us a ton, chatted with us a bit and made us feel at home. Every staff member was so knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

      Highlight of our trip!

We had the most amazing experience - a real highlight of our honeymoon! The hunt itself was very informative and we learnt so much about truffles and hunting dogs. The cooking class we did after was an equally enjoyable experience, and all of the food was delicious - make sure you're hungry when you go! Give yourself a good 4-5 hours for this experience to soak it all in and enjoy the beautiful property.

An Unforgettable Experience Truffle Hunting in Tuscany

      Generic_U, Jul 2024
Although it happened to be raining when we visited, this experience was truly unforgettable. The team at Cofferi 1242, Gianmarco and his remarkable dog found so many truffles with minimal walking into the wooded area. Watching the dog work was a joy and then getting to eat some truffles with our lunch was extra special. Be sure to ask the family there about their remarkable story, all of the amazing things they grow, and animals they have at their beautiful farm.

The highlight of our time in Tuscany!

We recently spent part of our honeymoon in Tuscany at the end of May and the truffle hunting and pasta cooking class experience was one of the highlights of our honeymoon, we cannot say enough positive things about our experience! Gian Marco (& Tabu!!) provided the best truffle hunting experience - we learned so much! The pasta making class with Fabrizzio was excellent. We learned to make our own tagliatelle and were served a ton of delicious food and wine to accompany it, you will not leave hungry! The tour says 3 hours but would plan on at least 4-5 to accommodate enjoying lunch, the views, etc. In addition to Fabrizzio & Camilla being the most wonderful people, the property itself is stunning. Would definitely recommend adding as something to do on your trip if you are staying nearby in Tuscany!

The highlight of our time in Tuscany!❤️

This has been one of the most amazing experience me and my husband have ever lived, its a family run farm, they are super kind, we went to truffle hunt with Seli, we learned about truffles, did a cooking class after and ate deliciously with the most amazing view and company, definitely recommend this experience so much!
