What To Expect

Start your day on the river with a kayak lesson, and learn to steer your high-quality single touring kayak through the river current—if you prefer to paddle a double kayak, the roomy, super-stable boats are available on request.

Launch into the Mae Ping River, and enjoy the challenge of navigating sand banks and the winding river shoreline. Slip right past water buffaloes that flock to the water’s edge, then wave to fisherman as they cast their nets into the Mae Ping. Get a look at rural life in the Mae Ngat Valley, and watch for wildlife along the way—both native and migrating birds thrive in this protected area.

Pause for lunch on the river, then continue paddling to your takeout point in the Mae Tang Forest Reserve, where a lush canopy of shade trees completely encloses the river for a serene experience. This easy-to-paddle stretch of river is accessible year-round, and all equipment is provided.

If you are looking for a serene trip to experience north Thailand nature, this is the tour to go! Kayaking was really beautiful and great view of mountains, definitely recommend in December. Also the Chiang Dao is the perfect cherry on top. Shoutout to Twee and the tour guides 🔥
